Absolutely whizzman. You’re right. The difference is though, when Democrats backstab and f*ck each other over, they let the f*ck-er go to jail, or hang him out to dry. See, Blago tried to shake down The One. Blago is going to lose his job; hell, he might fall down a flight of stairs or something pretty soon if he keeps running his mouth.

On the other hand, you take someone like Backdoor John McCain, whose sole claim to being a Republican seems to be the letter next to his name, f*cks his party for 8 years, gave his base the finger every chance he got, and even tried to destroy his running mate after the election..and what did we do? A bunch of slack jawed dimwits like you tried to give him a promotion. And you lost. Now, helpful sane people like myself prognosticated this course of events months ago, but you guys went and did it anyway. So, I’m not really feeling sorry for you; and yes, I’m happy that Backdoor John got his a** kicked; I was rather hoping it would drive him to change parties, but no such luck yet. But do keep bringing him and trying to shame people for not supporting him. I’m always happy to insult McCain. It’s like walking by a bowl of chips; you have to take one.
Seriously, grow up whizzman. You lost. McCain sucks. Can’t you find something more interesting to obsess about?

I’m glad that the governor is going to fight this thing! Let’s take this all the way and find out whats really going on here and who all the players are! I support the governor’s right to a fair trial! Stand and fight, Governor! Don’t let the feds and the new administration deter you!

sabbott, you make a very important point. Balgo deserves due process and the presumption of innocence. that’s hard for each of us to do. It’s much more common in our society to assume someone is guilty the moment they are charged of wrongdoing. Do I think he is guilty? Yes, most likely he is. So I’m caught up in that way of thinking, too.

My biggest concern is how we citizens can obtain the maximum amount of truth about the behavior of our public servants. Who else is dirty in Illinois, and will Blago tell all that he knows? I hope so. I’m less concerned than many here that he draw a direct connection to Obama (although that would be an amazing Constitutional crisis). I just hope that the Feds can get the goods on any crooked politicians that Blago knows about. This situation won’t clean up Illinois politics, but it might make a dent.
