Wait till pressure builds for Obama to launch regime Change on Mugabe, who I have no doubt is holding out for a new president who is less concerned about human rights then the current one.

We need NK as a buffer for China. China needs NK for a buffer to the US. Neither of us wants a war. NK is the trip wire.

Why not use our considerable assets in communications and technology to bolster freedom activists and foster the kind of velvet uprisings as we saw in Romania, Czechoslovakia, Ukraine, Georgia, and so on?

This is something that has puzzled me for years. There’s this fundamental disconnect between our spoken (and implied) intentions, and our actions. That is the one thing that has me not completely dismiss the conspiracy theorists who claim that we really only doing it to preserve the business interests of the multi-national corporations (or that it’s all about the Trilateral Commission, or that the Scientologists are right[!!]). Hell, look at the serious about-face that Obama’s taken since winning the election. Who’d've thunk that?

I still think they are basically complete lunatics (my father was a conspiracy theorist of the first order, and I got an earful of some really wacked-out craziness while growing up), but late at night, when the lights are out….
