Suppose, just for grins, that someone smacked one of these Code Pinkers up along side the head with a shoe. Do you think they would support assault charged against the person that did that?

Or do you suppose that they would claim to support the right of people to throw shoes at them?

If they approve of this man’s action against President Bush then they should have no problem with others expressing their outrage with them by throwing shoes at them.

That could become the new method of counterprotest with Code Pink. Not that I would condone throwing things at people.

From the AP story:

…after he was wrestled to the floor when he hurled one shoe and then the other from close range at Bush during a news conference Sunday in Baghdad. Bush deftly ducked out of the way both times.

My fantasy is that President calmly caught the shoe, look a bite out of it, and flipped it back at the “journalist.” That would have been too cool. Where’s Chuck Norris when you need him.

Of course, Chuck Norris would never have had shoes thrown at him. The shoes would have realized what was about to happen and refused to let them be untied.
