Both the Chicago Sun-Times and Tribune are reporting that Kelly has moved to change his plea to “guilty.” The dailies are also reporting that there is no evidence that Kelly is cooperating with the feds against Blago. ( Ummhmm. Guess it’s just epiphany season.)

It’s breathtaking how fast Obama’s Chicago cess pool is spilling into the public square.

Let’s play a fun game: let’s see who knows the most criminals or criminal defendents named by the Sun-Times or Tribune since the election, whose names were not once mentioned in the same paper during Obama’s campaign!

There should be weekly winners, as there promises to be new names every single week – and new winners!

Holder, however, omitted that event from his 47-page response to a Senate Judiciary Committee questionnaire made public this week — an oversight he plans to correct after a Chicago Sun-Times inquiry, Obama’s transition team indicated late Tuesday.

Gee, for an administration that the media and pundits have been crowing about based on their Ivy League backgrounds, they’re awfully sloppy.

I am sooooo looking forward to hearing Arlen Specter in that drawling voice of his (that sounds like an old man sitting on a porch in his rocking chair who is actually a Jedi knight in disguise) pick pick picking away at this stuff in Holder’s confirmation hearing… If Holder lasts that long without finding himself under the bus.

So is AG Holder going to supervise the Fitzgerald investigation/prosecution? Does his resume omission telegraph intentions in that supervision? If I’m Obama and I want to give my Illinois cronies some relief, then I put a hack like Holder in, because I know he’ll cross any line I need him to cross. If I’m Holder and I wanted to stymie Fitzgerald’s operation, then I’m not going to disclose my Blago ties and have the Senate extract recusal concessions out of me.
