Video: Kerry Kennedy tries to make the case for Caroline, fails
posted at 6:16 pm on December 16, 2008 by Allahpundit
Because she’s an author and she’s raised money for education and, well, she’s just swell. And check out that clip of JFK at 4:20 declaring from the grave that he wishes his daughter could go into politics. You don’t want to kill the dream, do you? He’s a martyred president, for god’s sake! The least you could do is make his little girl a Senator.
Unless I missed something, there’s not a single mention here of the fact that Kerry’s ex-husband just happens to be Caroline’s chief rival for the seat.

our goal as a nation should be to one day have 50 kennedy’s and 50 bush’s in the senate.

“Because she’s an author and she’s raised money for education and, well, she’s just swell.”
Why stop at Senator then? Why isn’t she President? She’s the female Barack Obama.
But Palin. I mean, she was only the Governor of Alaska. Unprepared.

Caroline will never make it into the Senate. She hasn’t killed anyone or been involved in rape cover-ups, or philandering.
Is she really a Kennedy?
EMD on December 16, 2008 at 6:24 PM
This wasn’t an interview. She spent 6 minutes doing nothing but reading off her resume. “She wrote a book, she’s mighty.”
chip91 on December 16, 2008 at 6:25 PM
Well I think she would be a good choice, Has less experience that Sarah Palin by a comfortable margin — will set the bar at the lowest possible level, for both, experience and intellect. How could anything go wrong after electing the man child.

The case for “Princess” Caroline Kennedy being in the United States Senate is pretty much the same as the case for King George the Third ruling America in 1776 was. That’s about it.

The Founders are turning over in their graves, as the Kennedy family represents everything they tried to guard America from.

None that we know of, at least. Don’t worry, though, I am sure the media will get right on digging up everything in her past, given that she has no political background is is a relative unknown (other than being an Obama watercarrier).

How hard is it to replace Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in the senate ?
They can both be replaced with an empty chairs that vote with their party 97% of the time.
They were both excellent democratic senators. Meaning they sat there and did nothing while eyeing another position.
Might as well name Bill Maher senator from NY.

I am a registered voter and long time resident of Illinois, and I don’t know if you guys are aware of this, but my cousin Ed is one of my strongest supporters in my bid to be appointed Senator here in the great Land of Lincoln.
I’ve got a degree in Business Administration, a degree in Economics, specialized training at the ABA’s Commercial Lending School, decades of hands on business experience, a safe driver certificate (despite having actually nailed a jaywalking pedestrian once), no DUIs, despite an adulthood of sometimes conspicuous alcohol consumption, no drug arrests that you know of, and a flawless four year record of mortgage lending under the licensing requirements of Rod Baloneyvich and Lisa Madigan’s Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
I am a member in good standing of the NRA, and the local library, dues are current at the health club (OK, my wife works there, so I get in free), and my friends at church think I’m … OK, I guess. I volunteer at the homeless shelter.
I’m thinking, Senator, right?

…do not make the mistake, as I did, of clicking on the Wiki link to check up on Ms. Kennedy, Kerry Cuomo as was…there you’re treated (as soon as your bandwidth can regurgitate it) to a picture of the creature herself….
…the picture itself stands as evidence that Robert Kennedy, back in the late ’50′s, did something distasteful and deeply unnatural with a prairie dog or a weasel of some sort…she has all the bad points of the Kennedy mug, without any of the…er…OK, she’s got the Kennedy mug, overbite and all, in spades!
…not to put too fine a point on it, this picture alone leads me to believe that Mr. Cuomo would be the superior choice for the open seat, given that a conservative Republican or Democrat stands no chance in this dimension…in these times we live in, we need a man who has the courage that facing those choppers and that mug naked demonstrates….
…I’m not normally given to judging women by appearance alone…but…eeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww!

The answer to any question that a journalist would ask about Caroline’s qualification to be a Senator is answered simply with:
“But,…she’s a Kennedy.”
Kind of like How Hillary Clinton absorbed Presidential experience through Osmosis from Bill Clinton.
By the way, why do all Kennedy women look like they’ve just spit out a lemon slice?

New Yorkers, like the Illinois voters would elect Rod Blagojevich types over a decent Republican. It took Mario Cuomo 4 elections to lose his seat and he seemed to do everything possible to tick off the voters of New York. Caroline doesn’t need anything more than the Democrat nomination. No amount of experience is enough if you’re a republican, but “no experience” is plenty enough if you are a Democrat in NY.

If all it takes to become President is to “run” for President, than I guess it is not too much of a stretch to “help” pick a VP and then become a Senator.
I went to the grocery today and picked a nice cantaloupe, can I be Govenor??? It’s a good piece of fruit.

She’s 50 years old, for crying out loud. If Caroline Kennedy wanted to go into politics at any time in the last 30 years she could have done so with the blessings– and aggressive assistance–of the DNC and the rest of the sprawling Kennedy family. If she hasn’t had the drive and the ambition to do it the hard way, why should she be so passionate about being senator now?
It’s like me getting toward my earliest retirement age at 55–what do I want to do next? I dunno. Why not give me Feinstein’s seat, okay? I could have fun playing with that, right?

The Republican party is so far doing a lousy job of telling Americans how great a history it actually has. I would not be surprised, though,, should Republicans start airing commercials about it’s rich diverse history,, someone like McCain would stand up and tell it to stop offending Obama!
Also,,, I am tired of hearing how so and so is qualified to hold office because they were the head of some library,, met important people from around the world,, traveled the globe and visited 26 different nations,, or that they are,,, a lawyer. Nothing against lawyers, here.
I’d like to hear about the qualifications that matter. Have they kept a job? Did they provide for their family? Did they betray their wife/husband with 20 different affairs? Are they a liar? Cheater? Moron? Do they understand the meaning of the word “Liberty?”
I would rather have a backwoods hick with a twang as my Senator, his only education was from the Bible, but believed in America with all his heart,, understood and defending our freedoms at every opportunity,, never backing down from a fight,,, than a rich, celebrity graduate from Yale with a law degree loved by RINO’s and Dems alike!

When I hear Cousin Kerry rattle off the names of all the boards that Her Highness is on, all the positions she holds, every one of them were gained with little more than her family name. With the sort of logic that is typical of children of privilege, she likely reasons that public office is a reasonable next step.
Caroline also represents a tired legacy that a bunch of middle-aged liberals on the East Coast love to keep propping up indefinitely. Let’s give her credit; she hasn’t gotten any of her lovers killed, or wrecked a car on public property. By that standard, she’s as qualified as any of her other cousins.
Or her uncle. Geeeezzzz.

THIS ALL ABOUT STOPPING ANDY CUOMO, KERRY’S EX.
KERRY WAS MARRIED TO HIM AND WAS SCREWING AROUND ON HIM AND GOT CAUGHT.
SHE WAS SCREWING AROUND WITH A LOWLIFE POLO-PLAYING/PSEUDO-BRIT WOMANIZER.
THE PROBLEM FOR PATERSON IS THAT ANDY CUOMO IS HIS CHIEF RIVAL FOR RE-ELECTON AS GOVERNOR.
IF HE HELPS THE KENNEDY VENDETTA, THEN HE SCREWS HIMSELF.
HE SHOULD EITHER APPOINT HIMSELF, ANDY, OR MARIO CUOMO.
I POSTED MY SUGG THAT HE APPOINT MARIO A FEW WEEKS AGO.
