By Joliet I assume you mean the prison. That facility is closed and used for the tv show Prison Break. But we still have Stateville which, by the way,
my grandfather helped build.
But I rather doubt Blogo will go there. He’ll most likely go to some place with feather beds and cable tv and tea at 4:00.

If Fitzgerald had allowed the Senate Seat For Sale to proceed, he’d be faced with the ethical dilemma of whether to sit on this info forever or bring it forward within the next month or so, like just before or after Obama takes office. How good would it look for Fitz’s future to possibly take down the first black president due to political corruption engaged in BEFORE Obama even gets to office, or minimally drop a huge stink bomb to taint Obama’s first days in office?

Best to tag and bag Blago ASAP and end the story there… Or so Fitz decided…

Todd Stroger succeeded his father as cook county chair.
Richard Daley is the second mayor with that name.
Lisa Madigan got into her office on her father’s name, although in fairness she *seems* to be doing a good job at it.

Toddler was named the Dem nominee for County Board President in a backroom deal orchestrated by William Beavers, an advisor to his father. Total Crook County move. He has since hired all of his friends, and appointed his cousin CFO of the county. She’s a hack, too. His retarded sister also works for county. My friend is an exec there; she can’t spell her own name, and has no duties.

Richie “da Mare” Daley at least ran for election and re-election on his own. He’s an imbecile, but somehow keeps the various “gimme mine” factions well fed enough to continue supporting his racial spoils system. He’s a mobster with a squeaky little girl’s voice and the intellect of a landscaper.

Not so much. Baloneyvich refused to move into the Governor’s mansion in Springfield, and has been living in their Chicago north side home for 6 years. Ever the Democrat-environmental-kook, Rod has been flying on State aircraft every day that he needs to be in Springfield.

For six years.

So, no, he doesn’t need to pack the van. Think he wasn’t planning on staying there long?
