Uh I guess the good thing about the incoming President being a Democrat is that he’ll actually Hollywood type people helping with the WH video stuff. Not that I care but at least these they won’t suck.
WTF? What was the point of that? And why did they give the cat a credit when it wasn’t even in the damn thing? And what was with the rear admiral? And the Beverly Hillbillies close? I almost expected them to say “Y’all come back now you here”…I wonder if the Bushes will pillage and trash the White House like the Clintons did before they left.

Worst one of the Barney vids. The 2005, 2006, and 2007 ones were great. Had plots, a lot of members on the administration made cameos. Bush is a lame duck now. He could have put some effort into it with his free time.

This particular lame duck stretch is not nearly as…restful as, say, Clinton’s was.
What’s with the word “holidays?” It is their last “Christmas” in the white house. Happy Holidays was fine at the end, but lets keep it real by stating the true holiday you celebrate. Enough of the politcal correctness!!
I actually like the Barney Christmas videos. Maybe I’m just one of those guys who doesn’t have to make every damn thing political.
I remember in the last months of Clinton’s term he did this video where he spoofed himself and his lame duck status. It was hilarious. He basically just wandered around the White House doing nothing. At the end he packed a brown bag lunch and gave it to Hillary while she was pulling out of the WH for her new job in the Senate. It was hilarious.
Cute Barney Cam.
This is what I love about the first family, keeping it real.
BTW, this is why Americans know President Bush is as real as they get, he can’t act.
God Love’em.
I will most heartily miss President and Laura Bush and I wish them nothing but joy in the future. On 9-11 the filth stole the lives of too many innocents.
They also stole my birthday. I will never forget. Nor will I forget that we have not been attacked in these many years. In spite of our differences, thank you Mr. President!
You know I reckon Barney doesn’t dream about winning gold medals at the Olympics. I bet he dreams about going Cujo on reporters, especially ones from MSNBC. After all he does have a taste for human flesh now.

Just what I was thinking, Dreadnought223!
Also, was anyone else reminded of Jib-Jab during the end credits?
It’s nice to see the happy first family. Barney seems pretty smart. I did notice the music and it sounded a little familiar. I kinda miss Bryan and Michelle and the all the funny threads Allah used to write.
Some of you guys would b!tch if they hung you with a silk rope. I though it was cute and the President is the President of all the people at the holiday season regardless of the fact that he personally is Christian. Stop being a bunch of poop heads and you know who I talking to. Thanks for the link AP, very sweet.
I’m pretty certain that the Barney vids aren’t meant for adults to appreciate – and weren’t designed to impress – so quit dissing them. It’s like listening to someone whine and complain about the acting in the “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph” stop-motion films. *sigh*
Kids love it – and offers a nice insight to the Christmastime happenings within the White House.
When the president and his family use the word holiday four times in the video clip then they are going out of their way to be politically correct.
Jenna says decorating the house for the holidays.
W says last holiday here in the white house.
Laura says red, white and blue holiday.
And then Laura wishes everyone happy holidays at the end.
I agree Happy Holidays is appropriate for our entire nation. But W could have said that it was their last Christmas in the white house. Laura could have said red, white and blue Christmas. Why because it is personal to them that it will be there last Christmas there and they are making the Christmas tree red, white and blue.
When you say Holiday 4 times and Christmas 0 then you are going out of your way to be pc. Would a muslim, jew or budhist be offended that the Bushes said Christmas once or twice in the video clip? I doubt it, as they know they are Christian and that the holiday they actually celebrate is Christmas. As a Christian I find it offensive when people do not say Merry Christmas on purpose. It’s almost like they are Peter and denying Christ.
I’m going to miss these videos. Judging by Obama’s performance at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Dinner, such things will be unknown in the upcoming Administration.

“Reading into things” at it’s finest.
Who was the vid shot for? Children – what adult would really care to watch the “first dog”.
Were they trying to be PC? Probably. It’s a video from our President on a tax-paid website.
If they said “Christmas” – would there be an atheist uproar? Probably. Look at the garbage in Oregon right now.
Who really cares if he doesn’t say “Christmas”? Religious zealots.
Seems you can’t please everyone. There’s not a damn thing wrong with the video OR the Bush’s saying “Happy Holidays”.
Let’s just continue to parse a video intended for children a little more.
I like the president and I like Laura but this was lame… It might have passed if they had mentioned the reason for the season and said “Merry Chrstmas”…
I went to South America at Christmas last year and it really warms the heart and gives one so much joy to see Nativity scenes everywhere, Feliz Navidad said by all and whole towns show up for midnight Christmas Mass. The United States is losing it’s soul slowly but surely… I don’t care if there are Muslims, Jews , Buddist etc but this country was founded on Christian principles by Christians and that is the reason I believe God has blessed this country so much…I fully expect for those blessing to start to diminish…Who mocks God?
I think the golf vision could have been spruced up with a Happy Gilmore-esque meltdown when he missed the put..no profanity or anything; just show him barking at the ball.
radjah shelduck on December 16, 2008 at 8:16 AM
How about you grab some lube and head to the bathroom and keep your fantasies to yourself. Have a little respect. It’s a Christmas video. Does your mom run around in a bikini on Christmas? Do your friends compliment your sister on having a great a** over dinner? Time and place for sleazeball thoughts..this ain’t it.

Merry Christmas HA, and Happy Hannakuh.

PC indoctrination does not even end at the White House doors. Bush, ever vigilant not to offend the Islamists.
