That’s the way it is in my world also.

I did internal reviews of my tests in college (Straight A’s!), have done my own internal performance appraisals at work (what a great employee!), and confess my sins to myself (destined for sainthood).

Doesn’t everybody get a chance to scrub and filter their bad deeds and faux pas?

Of course, once the instructor/boss/priest takes a look . . .

The issue is not inappropriate contacts. The issue is whethert Emanuel lied (yes) and whether The Black Caesar instructed Rham or anyone else on his staff to press Blago on who to name to Barry’s Senate seat. None of that is inappropriate.

What is inappropriate is saying we did nothing and then having it trickle out that yes, you did do something and it stinks.

Isn’t this ludicrous…even just on the face of it? As if there would be any conversations regarding Obama’s Senate seat without his knowledge of it. He really had to conduct an investigation to check? You mean there was the chance that someone just decided to go rogue and contact Blago to push a candidate for Obama’s Senate seat without checking with Obama first? The whole “we’ll conduct an investigation” thing is just so dishonest to begin with. It didn’t occur to anyone in the media that there’s no way in hell anyone would contact Blago without Obama’s knowledge and approval. So now we have a President that at the first oppportunity to prove himself, decided to lie and obfuscate…wonderful

Yes. But don’t worry about it. When Obama lies to you it is only because he, in his intrinsic goodness, is willing to take onto himself the sins of truth and evil men on the right, to protect you from the evils that might befall you if He was open and honest about things. You should be grateful that he is willing to sacrifice himself in this way for you, so you don’t have to face the harsh realities of life in this decadent world. Or something.
