Okay put yourself in the mind of one of the Chicago political mafia (Daley, Obama, Blago, etc.)

Who do you fear more- Daley or the Feds? If Fitzgerald is able to get anybody from the family to turn he damned well better put them in the witness protection program because squealing on the political machine in Chicago is far more dangerous than taking down John Gotti.

As an American, it kills me that we are about to inagurate a political mafia kingpin as our President. John McCain had his faults but he wasn’t corrupt and his Senate seat wouldn’t have been put up for auction by organized criminals.

Harris is one of Daleys guys. He worked in the CPD prior. They (the FEDS) may be working that angle as well.

This scandal is going to be a cloud on Obama no matter how much the incoming group of thugs ignore the fact. Let’s remember that Emanuel took Blago’s seat in Congress. Let’s remember that Obama has already lied about any contact with Blago since being elected. Let’s remember that this is Chicago and the whole group of Democrats are mobbed up to standards unheard of outside of Louisiana. Obama is guilty as hell and it is up to him to account for his activities with real answers instead of spouting bumper sticker slogans and calling non-supporters racist.

Seriously though.. Death threats IF THEY REALLY HAPPENED are over the top. I for one want to see anyone guilty of selling a senate seat go through an agonizing trial and public humiliation..

One final thought.. IF he’s getting threats my guess is that they aren’t from the right.. I want to see the dancer sing an aria or two as do, I think, a lot of other people like me.

Here’s something from paragraph 102 (p. 65 of the affadavit, p. 12 of the Smoking Gun):

“Later on November 10, 2008, Rod Blagojevich and Advisor A discussed the open Senate seat. Among other things, Rod Blagojevich raised the issue of whether the President-Elect could help get Rod Blagojevich’s wife on “paid corporate boards right now.” Advisor A responded that he “think(s) they could” and that a “President-Elect…can do almost anything he sets his mind to do.”

It’s worth skimming. I haven’t had time to read the entire thing.
