Nothing you haven’t heard before but I know how much Hot Air readers like to watch Huck squirm. The tone is set early, with Stewart pressing him on why conservatives think government should be in the business of commanding armies but not, say, handing out cheese or otherwise playing perpetual wet nurse to the population. The gay marriage exchange comes in the second clip; as often happens with opponents, he hops from one justification to the other without trying very hard on any of them. First it’s tradition, then it’s a slippery slope to polygamy, then (by implication) it’s a distinction between immutable traits like race and “lifestyle choices” like homosexuality, then it’s procreation. He’s in retreat the whole way. Not his finest hour.

Interesting, but you’re right, considering the source, I would question it just as if Hal Turner or Terry Molloy was the source.
Although the sexual inadequacy bit would explain quite a bit, it all comes back to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a book that, tragically, was nothing but plagarization of a French satire and a German fictional novel, cooked up by a bunch of loony Russians at the beginning of the century. What should have ended up in the free bin at the library ended up affecting the entire 20th century.

When gay activists claim that men who molest boys are not gay, but something else, (which I have actually heard numerous times) they really hurt their cause.
Gays have a tendency to deny ANY immorality on their part and pretend that they are freedom’s champion/victims and saints which is why they are not accepted by the mainstream.
It’s difficult to like a group who demonizes you, equates their struggle with a REAL human rights struggle such as slavery (this is why blacks in California supported prop-8) and claims an entitlement out of thin air and not earned. Just go to a gay pride parade anywhere and you will see first hand why gays are a long way from having public support.

Oh yes; I had an opinion column in our school newspaper. When they held it at our university, I smuggled a notebook in and took notes, including notes on each story, the general order of the peices, and specifically how many males were portrayed in a positive light. (One: The guy whose only interesting quality was he worshipped female genitalia. [In the column I said it was creepy])
I got plenty of hate mail for the column, thus why I can safely say I hold the unofficial record for most responses to a single column and most responses in a single year. Want to bring out the inner radical feminist railing against phallic symbols? That’s the way to do it.
