Video: “Day Without a Gay” not going according to plan

posted at 12:38 pm on December 9, 2008 by Allahpundit

Via Breitbart, turns out the recession’s a Prop 8 supporter. The festivities begin tomorrow; the boss is already bracing for the biggest labor shockwave since, um, “Day Without an Illegal Immigrant.” Remember that? No?

First the Larry Craig appeal gets rejected, now this. Heart-ache. Exit question: Isn’t today “Day Without a Blogger Who Has Nothing to Post Day”? I’m pretty sure.

apparently the macho-gays were rouding up the femme gays….

right4life on December 9, 2008 at 2:04 PM

That’s one flimsy hypothesis. I happen to think that the nazis were no different than many religious organizations we see nowadays, where some fire-breathing preacher curses the evils of homosexuality and yet gets caught balls-deep in the choirboys.

That video was very awkward…you know they weren’t going along with the program and they wanted to say…shove it, or stick it up your *ss, or put it where the sun don’t shine, or you can kiss my *ss, or **ck you…but that would just start something special.
The gays are hampered by speech…

right4life on December 9, 2008 at 2:12 PM

Respectability comes from how you comport yourself in public.

Which makes JetBoy and Vic far more respectable than SaintOlaf.

cthulhu on December 9, 2008 at 1:56 PM

Alternate phraseology for “respectability” is “finding favor with men”. As near as I can tell, SaintOlaf is far more focused on “finding favor with God” (admittedly, in his own inimitable fashion).

My collie says:

We do not value SaintOlaf’s participation any more or less than Jetboy — or any of the other gays that participate here.

If there can be no tolerance for expressing radically different views on an internet blog site, where can there be a forum for such an exchange?

Yes, I understand your perspective — and it is obvious to me that SaintOlaf does not makes a lot of friends around here with the manner in which he presents his views.

From his perspective, however, he is simply being loyal to his faith. I would hesitate to criticize him for that. At least he is genuine (true to himself and his beliefs) — and because of that, he is both predictable and trustworthy. He is what he is — and he would not try to deceive you or anyone else about who he is. That is one trait that SaintOlaf has that I greatly admire. He is not in the least bit “wishy-washy” or phony.

My collie says:

Come on — you have to admit that he is more sane than those leftist loons living in Madison. He certainly looks more sane to us than these loony Seattleites surrounding us.

right4life on December 9, 2008 at 2:40 PM

I’m partial to the saying ‘nuttier than squirrel poo’ myself, as I’ve found Snickers bars aren’t really that nutty. :)

And my day tomorrow will not be gay-free… I have no intention of not watching television. I might not talk to my mom though. ;) Seriously, I wonder if they actually thought this through. I mean, there are probably a lot of gays out there that keep their identity to themselves, and won’t risk outing themselves even to show support for gay marriage. If anything, this will probably only affect other gays in their city neighborhoods, and that’s just preaching to the choir.

I know all about them. My in-law was one, and I was a member of Assembly’s of God for the first half of my life. They make for exciting services, and you’re right, very passionate.

I suggest that you remember him in your prayers.

Good advice, and completely correct, only I haven’t hidden the fact that I’m a little lapsed in that regard. That’s not an excuse. I just didn’t want to seem more pious by pretending that I would do that when I won’t.

Then the ones that become gay to me. Is maybe a sin. Depends on the intent of the matter. I don’t believe that our Creator would born a child that is gay. Don’t know if it is caused by a gene. Or a chemical imbalance with the mother. Even scientists cannot prove that. That is my view.

sheebe on December 9, 2008 at 3:16 PM

What were the gays thinking? They are a minority of minorities. For a work stoppage to have any impact you have to have large numbers, bigger the better. If they are solely depending on their own community they lost out of the gate.

About the only industry that would be afraid would be the interior decorator lobby.

I wasn’t sure if you were the one that said that a while back. So many names. I feel same way also.

sheebe on December 9, 2008 at 3:26 PM

Right. My husband left me because I made a pun on the Internet.

oh that was a pun right. laughable.

No, you’re right. Good Christians are supposed to be glad when all the nonbelievers are tortured and eternally separated from God.

I never said I wasn’t looking forward, but for any who aren’t sadists, it’s bittersweet.

Esthier on December 9, 2008 at 3:24 PM

I didn’t notice that attitude from John or Paul in the bible or anyone else in the NT or OT…but what did they know?

MadisonConservative on December 9, 2008 at 3:21 PM

If you think I’m watching a half hour of that tripe to answer my question, you are sadly mistaken.

You sir, must be fat, stupid, non-erudite, a liar, and ummm… (scans thread) … oh, yeah! A piece of trash!

And a fornicator.

wccawa on December 9, 2008 at 3:28 PM

No, you’re right. Good Christians are supposed to be glad when all the nonbelievers are tortured and eternally separated from God.

so you think God tortures people huh?

interesting.

what god do you serve again?

right4life on December 9, 2008 at 3:27 PM

So because you didn’t notice it, they didn’t feel that way? Good to know you’re the expert on the subject.

I mean they and Jesus preached about love, and you here are showing the exact opposite, but surely you’re still the expert here.

Esthier on December 9, 2008 at 3:30 PM

Well, this thread has turned into an interesting- and unpleasant- torture chamber.

I’m off to ruin another thread. Have fun, masochists!

wccawa on December 9, 2008 at 3:30 PM

So, not working is gay?

Can we send welfare recipients a gay voucher for a free bite pillow or couch cushion nose cozy?

Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

And a gay liberal who smells.

And ugly.

You keep failing.

And since when is that tripe? That’s some of the best conservative material on television!

MadisonConservative on December 9, 2008 at 3:30 PM

so you think God tortures people huh?

right4life on December 9, 2008 at 3:28 PM

Never said that.

Are you arguing that being eternally separated from God isn’t torture?

Esthier on December 9, 2008 at 3:33 PM

Since gays seem to like boycotts so much how about all Americans boycotting gay businesses? That should shut a few up for a while at least.

UnEasyRider on December 9, 2008 at 3:34 PM

love to you is accepting the gay agenda. what you say is ‘love’ is really hate. because you will not tell people the truth. you think accepting whatever a gay person does is ‘love’ but its really not.

everyone in the Bible expectantly looks forward to the Return of the King…and no one in the bible thinks God tortures anyone… and you call yourself christian..too funny..and sad.

show me in the bible where it is. and you must think God is pretty cruel to TORTURE people.

Yeah, but I enjoyed the Two Towers more.

MadisonConservative on December 9, 2008 at 3:37 PM

Never said that.

Esthier on December 9, 2008 at 3:33 PM

yes you did. God is the judge, and He places people in hell..although really they do that to themselves.

right4life on December 9, 2008 at 3:37 PM

Some of r4l’s comebacks remind me a bit of Ward Churchill, such as in this video, (esp. around 1:40).

right4life on December 9, 2008 at 3:36 PM

Are you intentionally misreading me, or do you need help? I’ve never said God tortures people.

And if you can’t find the multitude of passages referencing “gnashing of teeth” then my giving you a direct link to one won’t work either.

Esthier on December 9, 2008 at 3:41 PM

How about a Call in Middle Aged White Man Day? They seem to be demonized more than the gays these days.
