I’m on jury duty today and probably in court all day long, as voir dire begins on the case to which my panel has been assigned — so no last-minute reprieve today for TEMS like yesterday.  Instead, I’ll replay a show from three weeks ago, when Grover Norquist and Cathy Ruse joined us to discuss the future Obama administration on specific policy fronts. Grover discussed his demand to return the $700 billion in TARP funding to the American people, and in more specific terms about bailouts, economic policy, and the future of the Leave Us Alone coalition. Ruse is executive director of the Gerard Health Foundation’s Life Prizes program, and we chatted about those awards as well as FOCA concerns in the next year.

Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if the log-in prompt doesn’t come up in the chat box below, use this link instead.) Jazz Shaw of The Moderate Voice moderates the chat, and he has his Troll Gun Trivia Contest running before the show, for those who get there early — and are registered!

Grover Norquist has been responsible, more than any other individual, for the infiltration of Islamic supremacists into the highest levels of the U.S. government. See here the seminal expose by Frank Gaffney of the immense damage Norquist has done.

The continuing general ignorance among conservatives of the political aspects of Islam, and of the efforts by Islamic jihadists to impose political Islam, piece by piece, over the West, can largely be attributed to the baneful influence of Norquist. He has energetically aided and abetted the branding by CAIR and others of critics of Islamic supremacism and of those who tell the truth about this Islamic political and societal agenda as “bigots” — such that frank discussion of the full nature and magnitude of this issue has been generally unwelcome even in conservative gatherings and on conservative media outlets.

Ditto, Mr. Spencer. You beat me to it. I have no respect for Grover Norquist nor his ilk. This is what the meaning of moderate is , those of you who attack those of us who are strict conservative. Norquist is your Evidence No. 1.

Robert, thank you yet again for your patient and persistent efforts in bringing this situation to light. The events as retold by Frank Gaffney boggle the imagination. What on earth has this guy Norquist been thinking all these years??
