Breaking: Supreme Court declines to hear Obama birth certificate challenge
posted at 10:54 am on December 8, 2008 by Allahpundit
Denials of cert rarely come with explanations and this one’s no exception, although the math doesn’t lie: They needed four votes to take Leo Donofrio’s case and between Roberts, Scalia, Thomas, Alito, and Kennedy, they couldn’t get there. End of the line for birth certificate Truthers? Of course not. There are windmills aplenty still to tilt at, as Dave Weigel explains:
How much further will the fight to de-certify Obama go? It won’t stop if the Electoral College votes for Obama, as the skeptics will try to get a congressman or senator to officially challenge the result. Rep. Chris Cannon of Utah was willing to believe that Bill Ayers wrote Dreams From My Father, so the skeptics might have a chance.
And if every vote certification goes off without a hitch and Obama is inaugurated on Jan. 20? Gary Kreep is ready for that.
“When Obama starts signing executive orders and legislation,” Kreep says, “I’ll be filing lawsuits unless and until he proves he’s an American citizen. Some judge, someday, is going to want this proved on the merits. You can run, but you can’t hide.”
David Horowitz ponders the galactic clusterfark that might have been had the Court taken the case. If anything good comes of this, it’ll be Congress and the states revisiting the “natural born” qualification, which must surely be the single dumbest operative clause in the Constitution. Exit question for WaPo, which helpfully informs its readers that “right-wing blogs were outraged” when Souter turned down Donofrio’s petition originally: Care to name one?

LOL! Nice. Obama purposely locks his birth certificate away under high security, and orders nobody to release it, and your answer to that is that it’s on us to produce it?
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Brilliant.
And this is the lunacy that we’re dealing with. No wonder the country is falling apart.

When Obama Himself refuses to do the easy as pie act of releasing his birth certificate, such a simple and reasonable matter, to establish His constitutional eligibility to be U.S. President, it is only “conspiratorial nonsense” creation on His part. Did you not take an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution?

If it is ever proven that Obama assumed the Presidency and that he was actually ineligible for the job and that the MSM turned a blind eye to the Constitution it will be the most egregious error ever made by one group of people to undermine the fabric of the American way of life which is founded on the principle of the rule of law and not political partisanship.

The Constitution has a written job requirement of President.
We are asking for proof that he meets that requirment.

These should be easy for you birtherists to answer at least one honestly…
1)What expert has said that Obama’s certificate of birth is a forgery?
2)What official has stated that Obama has not met the criteria of producing said document?
3)What evidence is there that any one born in another country has ever stated on the certificate of birth that they were born in Honolulu?
Those three should be easy questions to answer…
and the zinger…
4)What qualified State official has ever said the certificate of birth that Obama has, does not meet the requirements of proof of birth, and location of birth.
If you can’t answer even one of these…

Obama seems to be the paranoid one. What is he hiding? If He has nothing to hide, then why doesn’t He just simply authorize the release of His birth certificate and put this matter to rest? What is His big problem? Is it fear or arrogance on His part. If there is some kind of “conspiracy” afoot, He is the one who has given birth to it and He is the One sustaining it.

I was replying to what you wrote about ten minutes before you elaborated. So what you say about McCain’s eligibility makes sense. You also referred to the eligibility issue for Secretary of State. I believe there was a constitutional question where Hillary was concerned. It was not the first time it happened with respect to that position.
Which means that we have been skirting the edge of the Constitution in key appointments for some years now. It may not bother anyone, but if we are to remain a nation of laws, it should. Especially unsettling, knowing that the President-Elect was once a professor of constitutional law.

If a cop pulls you over and requests license and registration tell him or her that it is in Hawaii and hand him the phone number of an “expert” to confirm they exist. As the cuffs click around your wrists be sure to call the cop an conspiracy nut! Just show him the forms. That’s all he asks.

So, my daughter, born overseas, has been living in this country since she was 5 months old. My son was born in the US, “under the jurisdiction thereof” as the Constitution says. Does anyone have any reasonable argument as to why we should presume that she would grow up to be a Manchurian candidate while he would be a fine President.
How about a good reason why the American people, if they so choose, could not elect Arnold to be their President?
I think it’s about time we got rid of the whole natural born citizen clause.

All of these questions have been answered. Try reading through these posts.
You’ll find that every question you asked is answered in detail, including the expert analysis that the birth certificate produced was a forgery. But that’s old news. You do know that, right? You do know that even the person who produced the birth certificate admitted that much, right?
You seem to be behind the times. Are you aware that everyone else is on the topic of him having yet to produce a birth certificate?
Gregor on December 8, 2008 at 1:38 PM
right2bright, you have a good question on point#3. I would like to see the answer to that as well.
Look, I don’t believe Obama was not born in HI, I just have not seen conclusive evidence that he was. The birth announcement was pretty good evidence.

As long as we’re coming up with names, how about the John Birth Society?
aengus on December 8, 2008 at 1:39 PM
Heres my theory… and its just a theory…
Obama, as a constituional scholar and Lawyer, knew that any hint of dual citizenship could taint his run for President, and also knew about the Natural Born clause, and its origional meaning…
He was not worried about Obama Sr. because of the Kenyan laws… he never took citizenship from them… but probably did not consider the esoteric Brit laws involved…
However, he was adopted by Soetoro and his Birth Cert was modified, and the origional sealed in Hawaii… my guess would be it says Soetoro was the Father…. which under Indonesian law, makes him an Indonesian Citizen (even if born in Hawaii). His New Father, or Mother, could have given his citizenship away during those years… as Indonesia did not recognize dual citizenship…
To get legal citizenship back, he would then have to come back to the country, and regain his citizenship… making him a Naturalized citizen. He could also, by Hawaii law, have his COLB info modified AGAIN, as he no longer had a father/son relationship with Soetoro, and he had died… which is why the only doc we’ve seen is a COLB from 2007.
As a Constitutional scholar, Obama knew this could become a legal issue, and so did not release his origional records.
Fits the evidence we have seen (COLB), and the statements from Hawaii Officials, and the name changes we saw Barry/Barrak do…
Romeo13 on December 8, 2008 at 1:39 PM
It matters whether or not someone is born American when it comes to being President. The President is supposed to be the quintessential American, with no other nation in his heart or on his mind.
Whether or not he was physically born on American soil seems irrelevant to me. Or, more to the point, it was only relevant as a boundary condition at the birth of the nation to validate the first set of Presidents born before the nation’s founding.
Only someone born American should be President. I will never vote for someone that wasn’t born American. That is the spirit of the requirement of being a “natural-born” American, to my mind. The physical birthplace of said American is quibbling over the letter of the law.
Bush is fairly out, and Obama is fairly in. Get over it, people. It’s time to get to work driving Obama to the center and taking Congress away from the Democrats.

Now Romeo, you can rest, it is resolved, the offical stated Obama was born in Honolulu, and the original Birth Certificate confirms it.
right2bright on December 8, 2008 at 1:42 PM
The problem with the BC that Good Lt keeps linking to is that there’s two types of BC’s one can get in Hawaii. The one that’s been reviewed is the one thats available to any child born from a Hawaiian parent, regardless of where they were born. The long form one, the one he refuses to release, is the one that’s signed by the doctor who delivered him, and is the one you and I all have sitting in a hospital records room. Why doesn’t he just allow someone to see that form so this goes away?
Simple: Allah and buddies, the only ones we could depend on to investigate this, are calling everyone on their side nutjobs. You don’t have to go all frothy at the mouth like a troofer, but just because Allah thinks that having “natural born citizen” in the Constitution is silly doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t make sure it’s followed. I guess there’d be more interest from Allah if it involved Palins birthplace or anything to keep her out of office, mirite?

So let me get this straight:
When it comes to sealed private divorce documents, the courts want them released to the public, because Hussain tells them to
When it comes to a public document, the court won’t hear about their release, because Hussain tells them to
See a trend ?
Courts are supposed to take decisions, not take sides
Courts are supposed to resolve conflicts, not prolong them
Welcome to a third world judicial system

From Wikipedia:
I know – let’s cite this guy as some reputable source just because he’s saying what we want to hear! AWESOME!

I’m pretty sure Obama’s birth certificate isnt making Russia stronger.
You couldnt run for President of the United States dude, you’re not an American.
Are you guys gonna make a “Loose Change” video about this?

Come on. Snopes isn’t liberal.
There’s really no case here. This is embarrassing.

At the end of the day, the birth certificate is a ruse for the dual citizenship issue.
Obama does not meet the “natural born citizen” requirements in order to be President.
Obama was a US,UK and Kenyan citizen at birth.
His Kenyan citizenship expired in 1982.
Further, he may have given up his US and UK citizenship in favor of a Pakistani citizenship, due to his adoption by Lolo Soetoro and his name change to Barry Soetoro. Indonesia did not have a dual citizenship option in the 60s and 70s.

Funny how the people running this site keep posting threads saying, essentially, “Stop picking the scab, or it’ll never heal.”

No,as$hole- I’m not citing him- I’m explaining to YOU that his APPEAL IS STILL UNDER REVIEW AT THE SCOTUS.
By God you are obtuse-or just stupid.

Excuse me, but they have never seen the original document, only a low resolution scanned image (72 dots per inch).
Self described, but no real background? And looks like they think Obama has a whole slew of forged documents, not just this one (which they have never seen).
So let me get this straight…you are basing your belief that these are forgeries based on a “self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist”.
See this is why people don’t want to answer these questions. Well I am a “self described FBI forensic scientist, with a self described 24 years in the forgery division of the FBI and Scotland Yard” and I say they are accurate.
Pitiful, but thanks for the honesty, it must have been difficult to admit…
