just after katrina a vietnamese family sought refuge in poplar bluff missouri. his wife was near term on her pregnancy and his brother who owned a jewelry store had been killed in the violence. the whole town turned out to give them money food clothing and find them a place to stay. they were overwelmed. unfotunately when word came that some african-americans might be set up in refuge camps the welcome mat got pulled. i drew a conclusion from that perhaps not the right one. but anyway i wonder if he voted for MR. CAO.

It’s funny how my “racist” home state is the state in which the Conservatives have elected 2 Asians. WHY on earth do the Repubs continue to ignore the conservative leanings of the various Asian communities and the Hispanic communities?

The Dems have made inroads and will continue to make inroads IF Conservatives don’t change the message of the Republican Party and then take that message to minority communities. The “If you build it, they will come” doesn’t work as a long term political strategy.

Small government, low business and personal taxes, States’ Rights, and self-reliance (both individually and as a Nation).

What does this mean for the Democrats? It’s an embarrassment, since they could have saved this seat by finding and backing a credible candidate in the primary. The turnout model reinforces the lesson from Georgia’s Senate run-off as well.

I think it is also an indictment on the RNC for not helping out our fellow republicans, especially in winnable races. The problem with the RNC is that there is no structure nor message.
I keep hearing about Duncan and how much of a fundraiser he is. BS is what I call it. We still lost in a landslide. We had a RINO and a liberal, one in the same, running for the presidency.

Alas, the not-so-subtle report insinuates that Karl Rove Bush 43 caused the black population in NO do decline, never mind the (only) 12% showing up to vote. If this would have been on Nov. 04, they would have been out 90+%.

The low turnout altogether is abysmal. The populace is out shopping.

Yes, on all the positives about Mr. Cao.
