With just over 8000 votes cast over at newsbusters.com Sarah is leading at 40%, Jindal has 20%, Romney and Gingrich 12% and Huckabee 3% in a poll asking who the audience favors for the GOP in the 2012 presidential election. I guess not only Rush loves Sarah, many others must do as well.

chunderroad on December 8, 2008 at 4:27 PM
Thanks for the compliment. I support Sarah because of her intellectual honesty, her ability to motivate voters to the polls and courage (grace under pressure as Hemingway put it). Many politicians have one or two of the three, but seldom does anybody have 3 out of the 3. As you know I am a sports fan. Diamonds in the rough seldom emerge under the radar. When they do, they must be first acknowledged, then nurtured and groomed and finally be provided the opporunity to fulfill their destiny. Fortunately I believe the majority of the base has recognized this and will never abandon her. For you GOP dissidents, you are stuck with Sarah for years to come. Get over it! Obama is the enemy, not Sarah.

technopeasant on December 8, 2008 at 4:55 PM

The irony is that Obama's ancestors were never slaves. If white people subconsciously elected him to atone for the historical sin of slavery, then Obama got to ride in on other people's pain because he is half white and half African. His father was from Kenya. His ancestors were Kenyans. They never wore shackles or were chased by hounds or whipped or forced to pick cotton. In fact, when the acestory.com people did a family tree of Obama they discovered that he's related on his mother's side to none other than...wait for it...Dick Cheney!

The only good thing to come out of this election is that perhaps our obsession with race will be able to fade away now that we've "proven" for all time that we're not a racist country.

Is that wishful thinking?

I know over the last month that many of you have wondered what my fixation or my obsession has been over 'white guilt'. Simply put I don't find it rational that America would elect someone so inadequate based on work experience,so damaged by his associations, and so extreme in his views on radicalism, socialism and Marxism as a small-town mayor, let alone the President of the USA. So I have concluded you have to look to the world of the irrational and that brings me to white guilt. There are many facets to white guilt but it boils down to this-its Caucasians, male and female, feeling they psychologically need to be tolerant and super-generous, to publicly adhere to political correctness that promotes that the white man was despicable and savage in his exploitation of lands and darker races, and to listen up when the MSM (including pundits)spout off 24/7 on the historical wrongs and 'outrages' that need to be addressed despite Obama having certain flaws and then consciously deciding to yield to their best long-term interests, ignore what their brain is telling them, to deliberately 'clue out' to the consequences of the vote in order to somehow atone for being born with a certain pigment skin color and to overlook the conseqences of electing Hitler in 1933 and why and how he got the approval of the German electorate. Obama's election just defies any logic that I have been brought up to observe. Ir's cognitive dissonance on steroids.

I think my personal favorite would be a Palin/Thompson ticket or even -- and this one is way out there -- a Palin/Gingrich ticket. The young reformer matched up with the wise old bird is the ticket. It worked for Bush 43 and Obama (With the help of the MSM, Biden was able to maintain the facade of being wise. No one questioned that he was old). I can't think of any Senate Republican I would want as a vp candidate. (Here's a freaky, funny, and frightening thought -- Palin/McCain in 2012! Just kidding of course!)

There a few other difference that the 'Cuda' has done that Huck has not. She has unrepentantly defended conservative principals and called B.S. on the DPM (dem propaganda machine). Huck put in his digs too but not with the ferocity Palin executed. Also a few other have made this point but i think it has some validity to it. Huck was running against other (R) candidates so he may have the perception of attacking other (R)'s, where Palin was able to defend conservatism and attack the dems.

Huntsman's expertise on China is quite a nice bonus to any ticket. But two governors on the same ticket is very tricky. They risk being accused of having no foreign policy expertise.

All this talk about 2010 and 2012 is good for the GOP. Right now the MSM, except for sporadic attacks on Sarah are spending 98% of their time and effort on swooning over the legend of the Messiah as it daily unfolds. Every day brings us one day closer to first bursting the bubble of the Obama machine in 2010 and then ousting the Messiah in 2012. A Chambliss landslide victory and two GOP victories in the Louisiana state races is a good sign. Remember what Confucius said: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step."

On and BTW, her $40 billion natural gas pipeline is still on track to getting us that much closer to energy independence. I wonder when was the last time Poptech negotiated a $40 billion international business contract which will be the largest private infrastructure project in North American history?

Just a Caribou Barbie…yep, keep underestimating her, suckas!

Jesus also said “1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you again. Matthew 7:1-2

Crux Australis on December 8, 2008 at 8:45 AM

You have misapplied the words of Jesus. The phrase "judge not" does not mean that everybody should just be nice, pat each other on the back, and let immoral conduct go on as if nothing ever happened. It doesn't mean we haven't the right to draw conclusions about wrong conduct and wickedness by others. You forget Mr. Australis, that we are told elsewhere in Scripture to "Try the spirits," to "prove all things," and to "beware of false prophets." We are to use discernment and distinguish between the false and the true, but we are not to condemn others which I have not done. Jesus warns against condemning the actions or motives of others. Only the LORD has the right, since He has full knowledge of a person's actions and motives.

Poptech's 'fake resume' for Sarah Palin is still more impressive than Obama's real resume...that didn't seem to stop people from voting for him.
