Video: MS-NBC producer gets wicked tingle up his leg; Update: Hoax?

Consider this the answer to the notorious Bill O’Reilly meltdown clip, courtesy of the Jawa Report. Instead of on-air talent screaming at the producer, this time we get an MS-NBC producer screaming at his staff in language that would violate FCC standards … if they applied to a cable channel. Needless to say, this is not safe for work, school, church — you get the drift:
Forget the kids. Did everyone make it out of the control booth alive?
It’s easy to see what prompted the eruption. The correspondent on scene wasn’t ready to start, and the producer blew a gasket when she appeared on the screen, laughing and staring off camera. That kind of production error makes everyone look amateurish — but not nearly as amateurish as screaming so loudly on set that it drowned out the anchor, who gamely tried to remain composed while staring at the commotion.
Oh, and let’s not miss the “dumb b***h” comment about the correspondent. For a network already heavily criticized for its allegedly sexist coverage of the Democratic primaries and Hillary Clinton, that remark will certainly add to their credibility with their female viewers.
Update: Chris Mata at 23/6 claims he faked the audio track on this. If so, nice job coordinating it with the eye movements of the host. Skeptical commenters appear to have been vindicated.

Are we sure that was the real producer, or some ‘witty’ guy putting his own commentary track over the top of a preexisting video? I can’t find much background on the clip over at Jawa, so..

I’m with Bambi on this one. This sounds faked. Not only does the “swearing guy” sound like a college kid, but NOBODY would have a complete non-reaction to the swearing in the background like that.
Bambi is right. Big old fake-out. But a pretty funny fake out. If you like toilet humor, that is.

Looks like I picked the wrong day to quit amphetamines.

Fire him?
Hell, they’ll probably advance him to co-executive producer on Countdown.

I’ll take producers needing anger management for $500, Alex.

Bambi –
It’s simple. Ever been inside a tv station? The host was looking at the MONITOR, not the producer. The ‘producer’ wouldn’t be anywhere near the set, so why would she be glancing over? She was looking at the monitor to see if the reporter was responding in some way, then realized she wasn’t.
Haven’t you ever seen any Jimmy Kimmel videos? They take stuff from the home shopping network and add their own voices to it. They write the script according to what the orginal reactions are. It’s like if she had looked down at her notes and I added “LOOK AT THE CAMERA, NOT AT YOUR NOTES”, and you would call that proof that it’s authentic? I don’t know why I’m so upset about this, but there is NO common sense in here and it’s the first time I’ve ever truly noticed it.
This is scary..
And the fact that ed took absolutely no time to proof it was accurate says a lot about him as well. Man. What’s going on guys? This is crap liberal blogs do! “Oooh, funny fox news clip! Lets post it and call it true even if it IS fake!!11!”…

Again, it’s the Director’s voice we’re hearing, not the producer. The producer should be trying to get the field reporter to stand by, but it’s possible there was a technical problem with the communications between the remote site and the studio. Especially since it’s all done by cell phone these days, and we all know how easy it is to have calls drop out on you.
I’ve spent over 20 years in broadcast control rooms, and this is absolutely nothing compaired to some days I’ve had.

Esthier, where is YOUR proof that this IS accurate? Show me ANY other source where this has been verified. Currently the only source is liveleak.com, which is nothing more than a glorifed break.com
.. come on!

I called it. So did Bambi.
Meh, some people don’t just have active “fake-dar” like us three do I guess.
(Fake-dar. like Gay-dar, but for internet hoaxes instead of latent homosexuality)

The whole thing sounds like a fake. Anyway, whoever is making the comments (real or not) sounds like a punk.

Glad you’re with me, but I was quoting someone else.
I watched the gal a couple of times and she didn’t know what to do. I think it was real, but then why are you thanking Ed for checking again? I hope that means it’s authentic.
