That is because Toronto is made up of most of the Immigrants who come to Canada and are willing to believe anything the ‘party that wants to give us the most for nothing’. The province of Ontario DOES NOT consist of just Toronto. Many, and I mean MANY of the people of Ontario are Conservative. The reason that the Yanks, and Alberta think we are all ‘reds’ is because the MSM is run out of TORONTO. It does not reflect the rest of the vast land that is Ontario. (Alberta, are you paying attention?!?)

As well he should. That is, after all, Taliban Jack Layton. Leader of the New Democrat Party, the most left wing of the main stream partys.

He wants to negotiate with the Taliban, but every time we suggest he go right ahead and head over there for talks, he has is washing his hair or waxing his stache.

One of the local MPs is from the NDP party (not my riding, thank goodness) and she was on the radio the other day defending the coalition’s actions. The gist of the argument was that we had to do something about this economic crisis and solve climate change.

Yes, she said it in the same breath.

One of the oddest beliefs of leftists is that many of their most expensive programs come with no price, and often generate more economic activity.

We certainly could dramatically lower our carbon emissions, but it would come at a dramatic cost. The notion that we can increase taxes and enact draconians regulations and earn money for business is insanity.

But then again, it may be that many leftist leaders understand this – Europe, as the most obvious example, has done essentially nothing about carbon emissions because it is too expensive.

My mother has been asking me non stop in the past few weeks whether she should sell all her investments if this ploy were to succeed… My mother – the most apolitical person I’ve ever met – even she was scared by this stupid ploy. I can just imagine what the average Canadian must feel…

I hope Dion stays as head of the Liberal party. We need him to keep doing stupid sh*t to remind Canada how dumb the Liberals really are.
