Why is it then, with all the countries running away from communism, we are stupidly stumbling toward it?

Nixon ended the Vietnam War, a war started by reckless democrats. He opened up China, started a dialogue with the Soviets, and saved Israel's ass by pumping massive arms shipments to them preventing their eradication in the Yom Kippur war...GW broke the backs of tyrants freeing tens of millions. He defended this country preventing another 9-11 and chased al Qaeda to the ends of the earth. Yes, al Qaeda is still active but diminished, discredited and hunted like dogs by the US, Nato, and dozens if not hundreds of allies around the world...Their days are numbered and international jihadism will one day be tossed on the ashheap of history along with communism. Ron Howard is a nobody who lives in neverland making junk for the consumption of fellow socialist...His point of view is meaningless to people who live in the real world.

Hollywood is the new socialism. You have rich powerful heads of production who dole out the money to make clap trap propaganda for the unwashed masses.
The poor worker class of Hollywood (grips, PA’s etc) are probably the treated the worst of any workers in industry today. They pay peanuts to the peasants and treat them as such.

I don't believe it! Andy is in bad health and mentally he's not to sharp. I know he is a good Christian man.
For what it's worth, I believe they've lied to Andy about what hussein stand's for. It's pathetic Richie would take advantage of him and the state of mind he's in.
Richie just lost a fan.
Screw follywood!

Ron Howard is just another Hollywood dunderhead. Why any of them think the rest of us give a damn about their political views is a mystery to me. And I just love it when the movies they make criticizing Bush and/or our military are DOA. Stupid liberal asses.

George Bush is an honorable man who did what he believed was right and necessary, and did it in the face of hysterical world opinion and the scorn and mockery of those who aren't fit to wipe his shoes. He has kept us safe for 8 years. Let us hope that Bambi can do the same. I'm not very optimistic, though.

Sorry, but Bush is on record as saying to his prospective biographer back in 1999 that if he had the chance to go to war in Iraq, he’d do so to boost his own political fortunes. He was quite enamored of how the Falklands War boosted Thatcher’s political stature in fact.

Has anyone noticed that there have already been two "W" movies (one by Oliver Stone & the assassination nonsense) and none about Clinton? The one with the "likable" John Travolta just getting elected doesn't count.

Bush will be remembered as a good president who tried to reach across the aisle, made compromises which were not met with fairness, and protected us. It'll take a few years for the BDS to die out, but he did a good job with what he had.

All we have to remember is accuracy- the nuts on the left were screaming he'd find a way to extend his term, he had shredded the Constitution, kept us in an unwinnable war, etc.

As he calmly transitions out of power on 1/20/09, Obama keeps some of his "unconstitutional" policies in place, and the troops come home in victory we will all be reminded that facts are stubborn things.

I didn't agree with a number of things Bush did, but overall job well done.

While what Nixon did was unarguably a crime, these types of political shenanigans had been going on for years and perpetrated by both political parties. The only difference is, Nixon got caught.

I wonder when the Hollywood Left are going to get around to making "Clinton - The Movie", complete with intern BJ scenes, pardons of people like Marc Rich, and Sandy Berger shoving classified documents in his sock like a 8th grade shoplifter?

Bombing innocent men, women, and children.Using WMD's to kill hundreds of thousands of people.Rape, torture, and murder on an unbelievable scale and all these idiots can do is cry and whine when we pour a little water over their face to get information to stop more of this mass murder.

Two Obama advisers said there's little — if any — chance that the incoming president's Justice Department will go after anyone involved in authorizing or carrying out interrogations that provoked worldwide outrage.

Yea,Bush's was so insane with torture that when the people who yelled the most have the power to right these "supposed"
wrongs,it's "oh,never mind".
Why?because now they are responsible for preventing attacks
and know that their liberal moral equivalencey bullsh!t doesn't get it.

Hey,Ron
You going to hold your liberal heroes on the hill to the same moral indignancy level as you do Bush?

In September 2002, four members of Congress met in secret for a first look at a unique CIA program designed to wring vital information from reticent terrorism suspects in U.S. custody. For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA's overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.

The left is really going to miss Bush. Oh for several months they will say, whenever something bad happens, it was Bush's fault.
But eventually that will wear thin...and they will have to have another whipping boy.
Whomever is going to run for the next GOP slot for Pres. will become a "divisive" issue. It will allow our enemies to see the "meanness" and thus the weakness our our system. Our enemies will be emboldened by the evil attempt of the GOP to win senate seats...

It's really interesting how limited entertainment giants out of Hollywood are. They all seem to share the same paradigm, and lately it's trying to connect or manufacture parallels between the Sixties and today. They should be ashamed of themselves since the actual contradiction is stark.

Richard Nixon was not a likable president, but he brought an end to the Vietnam War with a victory on paper that was betrayed by the enemy and the moonbats in the USA. Opie seems to forget that a Democratic president and congress drafted thousands of American young men and betrayed their honor and sacrifice. How can anyone have lived through those times and missed that part of history? These men served and died in a mismanaged war that was micromanaged by idiot politicians and then came home to be spit on. America should be making movies about that, and how ashamed those people should be for that disgrace, and how that parallels the clueless critics of today.

The fabric of both the enlisted and drafted servicemen that fought in Vietnam is just as honorable and demanding of respect as the people that fight in this war against Islamic terror. The difference in victory, Opie, is that this president stood behind the troops as did his administration. The only other comparison I find is that the Dems are still doing all they can to destroy our military and have no respect for the sacrifice of these fighting people and their families.

BDS is STILL here? I thought The Messiah's election by the loons of the left had made the world all sunshine and roses... NOT! Conservatives need to constantly remind the far left that soon all the crap that happens is on THIER WATCH... Bush is gone, it's all your's baby... And in 2010 we'll be backin the majority after you surrender to the terrorists and radicals in America.

Last Saturday I had the misfortune of seeing the theatrical production of "Frost/Nixon" at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. I knew going in that it would be full of the typical liberal claptrap (I have season passes to all the major plays, and entertain business associates at the theater, so I didn't select this play - it came with the package). Its biggest sin was that it was unrelentingly boring - my wife actually fell asleep on my shoulder for a couple of minutes. And, of course, Nixon (and his military attache) was scripted and acted like a cartoon character.
