Just a read comment on MSNBC that 'Palin is as dumb as a rock'. If the writer wants to see really dumb folks he should watch the video of Obamatrons being interviewed by Zogby (Zeigler commissioned poll) to find out what thy know about national politics. How does the a person who is so dumb become the number one draw in the GOP? Well, perhaps that's the left's new line of attack. All Republican voters are dumb. They have to be to listen to Sarah Palin. All 59.4 million of them who voted for the McCain-Palin ticket.

technopeasent,<blockquote>Just read CQPolitics.com, DC: according to it Sarah is doomed to fail:</blockquote>Replace "Palin" and "2012" with "Reagan" and "1980" and those same people (ideologically speaking) had the very same complaints.

Really interesting stuff in that Red State posting. I'm especially intrigued by the speculation that Thompson might try mentoring Palin. Can you imagine a Palin/Thompson ticket? Kinda interesting.

Pretty clearly, Sarah Palin is going to be the Conservative pol Every GOP RINO wants campaigning and fundraising for him in 2010--including John McCain. It will be tough to deny her the nomination in 2012, <em>if</em> she wants it.

I just got finished watching The Untouchables (1987) with Kevin Costner as Eliot Ness. Sarah Palin reminds me so much of the Eliot Ness at the start of the movie. He starts off full of innocent, idealistic fervor and personal conviction wanting to 'get Al Capone', the biggest baddest bootlegger and gangster in Chicago in 1930. He is introduced to his 'team' of crime busters. On his first liquor raid he finds the bad guys have been tipped off by one of his team; he is disconsolate, then meets the Sean Connery character who tutors him on what he needs to do take down Capone; Ness soon wisens up to the lay of the land in Chicago and enlists the aid of some new team members-men that cannot be bought or compromised. They start to meet with some success and also begin to attract the attention of Al Capone. On a future raid on a Canadian shipment of booze Ness personally draws blood for the first time. Throughout the movie the one question that is proposed to Ness by the Connery character: "What are you prepared to do to take Capone down?" One of the famous lines in the movie is (paraphrased)-you don't bring a knife to a gun fight. First in terms of the movie let's clarify where Sarah is now. She is still full of ideal fervor and personal conviction but has inherited bruises and scars levelled at her by the MSM and their leftist allies in the blogosphere and exacerbated by those handlers and advisors from the McCain campaign who mismanaged her unveiling and her media availability and then decided through anonymous sources to stick the knife in her back after the fact to further demean her and her diminish her credentials as a future presidential candidate. What Sarah needs for a 2012 presidential run is a Sean Connery type character to tutor her to the ways and means of national politics who asks her "What are you prepared to do to take down Obama? Then she needs to assemble a team of expert advisors who will not compromise their conservative principles for the sake of pandering to the leftists or moderates. Sarah then needs to look at her watershed campaign as a righteous crusade that she must undertake with single-minded purpose and intensity dedicating herself to chipping away at Obama and making him more vulnerable day by day, week by week, month by month until she secures the nomination of the GOP. Just like Eliot Ness forced Capone to face his accusers and a jury of his peers in a court of law, Sarah must continue to call for Obama to be judged by the court of public opinion and called to account for his indiscretions or blunders by a jury of his peers, the voters of America. In turn throughout the process like Ness, Sarah has to affirm the traditional rock-ribbed values and beliefs that provide the underpinnings for American exceptionalism and why they are as relevant to 21st c America as they were in 1789, 1865, 1919, 1945, 1965, 1980, or 1999. Like a prosecutor making her final summation to the jury Sarah must present a cogent argument to why Obama's socialist prescription for America is wrongheaded and why a strong and free America must be preserved for future generations. At the end of the movie in court Ness addresses Capone after the latter knows he has lost: "Never stop fighting until the fighting is done." That is the attitude that Sarah must assume as well.

<blockquote>How much you want to bet Sarah’s never held a book without any pictures in her life?

benny shakar on December 2, 2008 at 12:24 AM
</blockquote>

Benny,

She has read "The Road to Serfdom" and the copy I have and read has no pictures.

You need to change tactics to bring down Sarah. Ain't gonna happen with your current strategy.

The only way to bring down Sarah is if the American people simply keep up the transformation into whining, weak, selfish, dependent, sleezy, conniving, spoiled, murderous, sinful, trashy, powerhungry maggots. Then, Sarah would be too good for them anyway. Come to think of it, that is not bringing Sarah down, but simply letting the slide continue to a country where 51%+ don't produce and are lazy, and the other 49%- stand by or leave the country.

We will deserve all the hyperinflation we get.

Benny,

She has read “The Road to Serfdom” and the copy I have and read has no pictures.

You need to change tactics to bring down Sarah. Ain’t gonna happen with your current strategy.

The only way to bring down Sarah is if the American people simply keep up the transformation into whining, weak, selfish, dependent, sleezy, conniving, spoiled, murderous, sinful, trashy, powerhungry maggots. Then, Sarah would be too good for them anyway. Come to think of it, that is not bringing Sarah down, but simply letting the slide continue to a country where 51%+ don’t produce and are lazy, and the other 49%- stand by or leave the country.

We will deserve all the hyperinflation we get.

I hope her doctor has her medical records under lock and key, cause you know some nut is going to try and send them to Excitable Andy. I suppose then she could definitely sue.

Josh Painter over at <a href="http://www.redstate.com/diaries/redstate/2008/dec/02/palins-path-does-not-run-through-senate/" rel="nofollow">RedState</a> lays out a very good argument about what the 'Cuda's strategy for the Senate should be (He says 2014 against Begich, if at all). Check it out, he makes a lot of good points (some I had thought of, many I had not), and it's nice to see them all laid out in one place. Palin should read his post, and consider his advice.

<blockquote>So, I’m confused. Trig is really an alien? He’s really her sister’s kid? He’s her niece’s kid? She found him on the side of the road? She stole him from another family to give her some pro-life bona fides? I’m sure that whatever it is, Excitable Andy will be all over it. I know that she really shouldn’t stoop down to their level, and that she probably doesn’t really have a basis to, but I wish that Palin would sue these people. Frankly, I wouldn’t care if Trig isn’t her kid. He obviously has a lot of love in that family, why are people so determined to turn it into something sinister?

These people are crazy. The key to their contention that Trig isn't Palin's kid seems to be the fact that Palin kept her pregancy a secret for seven months. However, if you go back and serious look at the photos of Palin it's clear in retrospect that she was pregnant. Palin is a petite woman and throughout those seven months you can tell that she put on weight.

<blockquote>I got the feeling from the debate that he likes her. They’re both very warm personalities, they have sons in the military, and they both say what’s on their mind.

I also got the impression during the debates that Joe likes Sarah -- especially since he wouldn't let go of her! See <a href="http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/rr107/phoenician06/palinbiden.jpg" rel="nofollow">here</a>, <a href="http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/rr107/phoenician06/palinbiden3.jpg" rel="nofollow">here</a>, and <a href="http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/rr107/phoenician06/bidenpalin4.jpg" rel="nofollow">here </a>for example. He even seemed to take <a href="http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/rr107/phoenician06/debatepiper.jpg" rel="nofollow">a liking to little Piper</a>, but it looks like <a href="http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/rr107/phoenician06/palinfambiden.jpg" rel="nofollow">she tried to wiggle free</a>.

I actually have a fondness for old Joe the Bummer. He reminds me of the proverbial crazy uncle -- he tells great stories at Thanksgiving but no one believes him for a second.

Yep, I just read this:

<blockquote>"I want to thank all of you for being here," Biden told the assembled governors. "And Governor Palin, I want to thank you particularly."

"I might point out, as I told you -- we walked in -- since the race is over, no one pays attention to me at all," Biden said. "So I'm -- maybe you will walk outside with me or something later and say hello to me." </blockquote>

Poor Joe is feeling ignored.

Just read a thread at FR submitted by a homeschoolmomma thanking Sarah for giving her daughter the thrill of a lifetime and the mother praying that her daughter grow up to be like Sarah Palin. Now folks that got me thinking. There have to be millions and millions of mothers like this in America who want to their daughters to grow up to be like Sarah or young women who hold Sarah in high esteem. They must be contacted and mobilized (if not already members of Team Sarah)and enlisted to advance the cause. In fact all the traditionally-minded people of America (those who are adamant in preserving the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and believe in American enterprise and exceptionalism) must be brought together under one roof as soon as possible to better compete against Obama in 2012. If that roof is Sarah, fantastic. If it is someone else then it is what it is. But ultimately the success of the next GOP presidential campaign against Obama will be determined on how soon the conservative base can rally around one candidate and mount their forces (grassroots energy, GOTV and money) to defeat him.

I hate to give this more attention, but the Trig Truthers are still at it...The lady who runs one of the blogs about Trig says that she has what will be "the final nail in the coffin," that it has nothing to do with Bristol or Willow, and that she's talking to her attorney about it. She says the information will be released on her blog in the next couple of days.

So, I'm confused. Trig is really an alien? He's really her sister's kid? He's her niece's kid? She found him on the side of the road? She stole him from another family to give her some pro-life bona fides? I'm sure that whatever it is, Excitable Andy will be all over it. I know that she really shouldn't stoop down to their level, and that she probably doesn't really have a basis to, but I wish that Palin would sue these people. Frankly, I wouldn't care if Trig isn't her kid. He obviously has a lot of love in that family, why are people so determined to turn it into something sinister?
