You know, we have been telling airheads like this tWitt and other moonbats that the Islamofascists don’t give a sh*t who is president, they dont give a sh*t which party is in the majority, they don’t give a sh*t about all the stuff that MSM tWitts and their talking head Marxist “expert” Islamoapologists say they supposedly do. They also do not care about “peacelovedove”, either.

The Islamofascists want us dead simply because we exist, period. They do not want to sing “Kumbayah”, they only want one of two things out of us-submit to Islam or die.

The only two things these people understand is violence and the overwhelming use of power. That is why there has been very little of this “big bang” terrorism out of them for the last 7 years because they knew that President Bush would kick their ass if they tried. Now it is open season on the world because the Islamofascists know they got a sympathetic terrorist loving wuss coming in as President and a congress/senate full terrorist sympathizers who have met officially with every major terrorist organization over the last two years.

There had been such a global outpouring of affection, respect, hope, with the new administration coming in, that precisely these kinds of attacks, it was thought — at least hoped — would be dampered down. But in this case it looks like Barack Obama is getting a preview of things to come.

Forgive my adventure into ugly American “egoism”, but it’s almost as if these attacks are a response to Obama’s victory. True, they have not (so far)been directly against us, but the timing is somewhat to very suspect. Is some kind of gauntlet being thrown down? I await the left’s take on all of this.

As to the bolded part of your post, are you kidding me? These jihadists sought out people holding American and British passports. Of course these were attacks against us, just on foreign soil, like the African Embassy bombings, and many other attacks. What has 'the Office of President-Elect' said about the Mumbai attacks? Anything? Bueller?

A powerful lesson I learned in Iraq and Afghanistan is that Middle Eastern cultures value one virtue above all others. It isn't generosity, compassion, kindness or even the much vaunted Middle Eastern hospitality. The one virtue they value most is strength.

No one in the Middle East will respect someone they perceive as weak, and in a shame/honor culture, respect is ones most precious possession. That's why Saddam Hussein was seen as an Arab hero, even in countries of which he was an enemy, like Saudi Arabia. They perceived him to be strong because of his defiance of the West.

How do Middle Easter cultures treat those they see as weak? An Arab proverb tells us, "a dying camel invites a thousand knives". I believe that says it all.

People in the Middle East hate President Bush, but they respect him because he has displayed strength. The same cannot be said of the President-Elect.

I guess some people have decided that Islamic terrorists only came into existence during the current Bush Administration, conveniently forgetting that the first World Trade Center bombing and the African embassy bombings and the Cole bombing all happened with a Democrat in the White House. A Democrat, I should add, that the rest of the world supposedly loved as much as they now adore Obama.

Our Friends in Bombay
We must stand by our most important ally.
By Christopher Hitchens

Ha, I'm glad he uses the proper English name for this city. I don't care if they "changed" the name (that is, adopted the Gujarati name instead of the Hindi form Bambai).

Using exonyms is the norm in any language. (America, for example, is Americhe in Italian, Runa Simi in Qechua, Emerîka in Kurdish, Ixachitlān in Nahuatl, Ketxua in Basque, Amerikí in Greek, Amerikia in Arabic, &c. In other words, people adapt the name to their language, use an old name or translate.

Should we say Mullywood? Or, if the Germans suddenly changed Berlin to Burlon, would we do that?

It just boils my blood to keep hearing references to Bush when it comes to terrorist activities. These things have been going on long before he even thought of running for president. scalleywag on December 1, 2008 at 6:11 PM

The terrorism / quest for world conquest has only been going on since 700 A.D. Surely the left can blame GWB for something that has been going on for 1400 years or so??

If it weren't for leaders like Charles Martel and Jan III Sobieski, Europe, and the world, would have fallen centuries ago.. Funny thing.. Things were a lot quieter under GWB.. Wonder why?? The terrorists sense weakness.. I don't know why .. Obiewandopey had a full 143 days in the senate and none of that bothersome military experience..

The terrorism / quest for world conquest has only been going on since 700 A.D. Surely the left can blame GWB for something that has been going on for 1400 years or so??

If it weren’t for leaders like Charles Martel and Jan III Sobieski, Europe, and the world, would have fallen centuries ago.. Funny thing.. Things were a lot quieter under GWB.. Wonder why?? The terrorists sense weakness.. I don’t know why .. Obiewandopey had a full 143 days in the senate and none of that bothersome military experience..

There had been such a global outpouring of affection, respect, hope, with the new administration coming in, that precisely these kinds of attacks, it was thought — at least hoped — would be dampered down.

HHHAAAAAAAA!!!!!
OOOOHHHH....MMMYYYYYYY....GOOOODDDD!!!!!

I had no idea these idiots actually believed this Obama "light worker" crap.

I thought they were only pushing it to get the uninformed dopes to vote for the chosen one.

Unbelievable!!!!

Wow. I’m reminded that this woman has only one parent who was originally a Witt, so that clearly makes her only half…

Maybe the problem is she had two parents that were Witts and this is what happens when you have a non-diverse gene pool.

It just boils my blood to keep hearing references to Bush when it comes to terrorist activities. These things have been going on long before he even thought of running for president. And he takes the blame over and over. And yet who was the guy who has had to keep us safe after 9/11, who is the guy who keeps warning that these things are going to happen, that the threat continues to grow, that we have to be vigilant and fight our enemies abroad so we don't have to fight them here. Who thought it was important enough to go to war to rid Iraq of a ruthless and cold-blooded dictator with terrorist ties and wmd ambitions? Who knew the importance of establishing a strong democratic ally in the Middle East? Who takes seriously the threat of nuclear weapons by a lunatic in Iran? Who are they going to blame a couple of years from now when these tragedies keep happening? The guy living at Crawford ranch? Find a new scapegoat, please. That dog won't hunt anymore.
