This has got to be the creepiest thing I have ever seen in my entire life from someone who is about to be President. I could not believe I was watching what I was watching. That a grown man,, a grown man who was about to become POTUS,, was sitting behind a desk giving us a message from “The Office of the President Elect.”

Oddly,, my first gut response was,,, this guy has no clue what he is about to walk into. He actually thinks all he has to do is show up,, issue commands and take charge,, just issue edicts and give speeches to the followers and all will be well.
This is near mental.

What about the folks that voted for him, their in the same caliber. A whole campaign of vague promises and they fell for it. The world wanted him as our POTUS, they got him, hope they can afford it. My greatest fear is that he will leave our military stranded in a situation where they need an immediate response from "Him" or that his policies will hamstring them.

I happened to be listening to Bob Costas' radio show this morning (don't ask me why) and he was having a discussion with one of his guests about whether the assasination of JFK or 9/11 was a more significant event. He was engaging in the what if game -- what if JFK hadn't been assasinated, he could have accomplished great things, he could have lived up to his promise, blah, blah, blah. What if 9/11 had never happened, George Bush probably wouldn't have adopted his horrible unconstitutional policies (I'm paraphrasing, but Costas has said that Bush is the worst Pres ever), we wouldn't have gone to war in Iraq, but then again we probably wouldn't have Barack Obama as the President-Elect. Of course, Costas then concluded that 9/11 was the more significant effect b/c heaven forbid Obama didn't get elected. Costas is a joke -- he should definitely stick to sports. He's a perfect example of a liberal elitist in an ivory white tower.

The words were great and inspiring. However, for them to have the most impact they had to heard without the visual of Obombem.

Watching them delivered by Obombem was a great distraction which adds to the premise that our President elect does not truly believe the words he is repeating from a teleprompter.

This thread is funny….
I didn’t vote for Obama but he is the president elect and will be the sitting President after Jan 20th. Do I think his addresses are a little overdone but it is his style and we may as well get used to it.
To all those who keep saying that Barack Obama will not be “your” President…grow up…if you can’t respect the man respect the office…the left may not have respected the office but that doesn’t make it right for you all to do the
same…If you want to put an effort forth do so towards the 2010 mid terms and the 2012 Presidential elections not in tearing down or disrespecting the office of president.
Now you all have the choice on how you behave…I choose to act like a civilized adult as I did with every seated President since Jimmy Carter

How can you respect a man that does not respect the office? How can you respect a man that does not respect the fundamentals of the Constitution? Need I go on?

You’re a friggin’ RINO appeaser. I’m not going to engage in witty reparte or useless bickering with you either. Alaska’s not being destroyed by law breakers to do jobs that Americans won’t do for slave wages and in slave-like conditions. Hospitals are closing because they are being forced to treat people who should not be leaching resources that are paid for by hard working, tax paying Americans.
A$$HOLE

You're a dummy.

#1. 100% Border Security to fight terror and lax Canuck immigration policies is better than on the cheap. I live near the Canuck border in NW WA state and frankly I'm more worried about the next Ressam than some migrant worker crossing the border illegally.

#2. I hear ya about the hospitals. We should send Latin America the bill for public services their citizens consume. Or take it out of non-humanitarian (read military, economic, etc.) foriegn aid to 'em. That'll shake 'em up.

Those who go to the utube site and see the comments will find (a) they’re moderated; (b) all glowing; (c) jealous that BHO is able to post in widescreen.

Liberal use of the thumbs-down icon is recommended.

Update -- nine hours later, still the same 69 comments. Mine, of course, aren't included.

Interestingly, the comment votes are ALSO MODERATED! Same numbers 9 hours later.

ROFL….they must be moderating the text comments!

78,000 views and only 69 comments when I was just over there.

I added my 2 cents of course and NOT POSTED. When I scroll through, it’s all fawning cultist posts.

dopenchange = CENSORSHIP

c’mon folks….American Revolution II, the sequel.

Let’s roll.

Somebody PLEASE put together a parallel YouTube Commenting site so we can get around this type of "if it isn't good Obamanews, it isn't news" censorship.

The only good side I can contrive out of this Obaaaahma sheeple crowd is that perhaps they'll start buying and save my business.

You are what I call a flatlander. You do not think things can ever change and are oblivious to the fundamental and even cataclysmic changes that occurred over the past 50 years. You don't even realize that the recent election was most likely corrupt and invalid. You will be asking if there will be recess when they are boarding you on the bus for the reeducation camp.

The really funny thing is that he not legally the "President-Elect" until after the Electoral College votes.

And then, we'll have the first President-Elect since the founding fathers that was born as a British subject unless the Supreme Court decides to uphold our Constitution.

All I heard is blah blah blah....you'd think since he's going to be president soon and no longer has to worry about getting elected, that he'd knock it off with this all talk/no substance thing.

Folks/my friends/fellow commentators, I’m all for border security, fences on all borders (that includes Alaska-Yukon Territory) and to prevent a MANPAD (man-launched surface-to-air missile) from taking out an airliner. It’s being fair to the people whose only crime was crossing the border illegally and do jobs Americans won’t.

You're a friggin' RINO appeaser. I'm not going to engage in witty reparte or useless bickering with you either. Alaska's not being destroyed by law breakers to do jobs that Americans won't do for slave wages and in slave-like conditions. Hospitals are closing because they are being forced to treat people who should not be leaching resources that are paid for by hard working, tax paying Americans.

"As an outspoken opponent of the expansion of slavery in the United States,[10][11] Lincoln won the Republican Party nomination in 1860 and was elected president later that year."

I wonder if he relizes that Pres. Lincoln was a Republican??? I know that my kids did reports of Lincoln in elementary school and the books that they used(small, for ages 7-8-9)did not mention anywhere that he was a Republican... I bet most blacks don't realize that Lincoln was a Rep....

Just suppose we are fortunate enough to get a conservative legislature and president in four years. How long is it going to take to straighten out the mess that this turkey and congress has caused? Oh they will probably enact tax cuts, but what about the releasing our natural resources? Have you ever seen congress remove bad bills that have been passed? No, they try to amend them to be palatable. Unless this nation can get some legislators with guts that will clean things up for the benefit of the Nation and work within the frame work of the Constitution, we are still screwed, just our people doing it to us. The only difference is the Dems have the guts to do what they want, and conservatives don't.

Y'know...normally if somebody said he was the head of a non-existant U.S. Government Office, he would be fitted with a white jacket with straps and very long sleeves.

This guy has a cult following.

I think Obama is coming on strong as the President-elect with the hope it may inoculate him from the upcoming brouhaha at the Supreme Court over his eligibility.
