Of all the ‘Black Rifle’ manufacturers, one of the most trustworthy is DPMS. Armalite, LMT, and Bushmaster are in the same boat….

This is the real danger. When do we know and when do we act? It will happen by dribs and drabs, not all at once.
sharrukin on November 28, 2008 at 12:36 AM
Things are becoming just like this to. This one driver is a sheep. I cannot stand him for that. My boss is a sheep. The night that the Creature won. My hubby told me to call my boss. Tell him, you got your man and now I quit. I can’t do that. Never been a quitter. Work is slow for hubby, he is General Contractor. People are scared to spend money now. I don’t make much, but to get a job you have to have one. So I have hope and the fact that I don’t miss any days. One man owns a courier company, and I am next in line. He is Conservative. Doesn’t like The Creature. So am hanging in there. I have even told a few friends that they are not my friends now. Since they sold us out by voting for a man that is nothing. I have never been like this before. I won’t submit myself to traitors and be blinded. But as for my job. I have to hang in there until something comes a long. Been a long time since I saw what you posted. My one Aunt was in Concentration Camp. Has numbers tattooed on her. Breaks my heart knowing what she endured in her life.

The only way to fix this crisis is to start giving sub prime loans to people who can’t afford to pay them back. Only Fanny and Freddy and Franky and Acorn can save us.
Geochelone on November 28, 2008 at 1:19 AM
The problem is that we all have things we value. Houses, cars, holidays, and Saturday with friends. We have loved ones and responsibilities. People who contribute rather than just take always do.
If they show up to take your neighbour away because he broke the law, do we put everything at risk then and there? That is asking a lot of someone, and can you be sure the guy didn’t do something? Can you lie to yourself well enough that maybe he did do something, so you don’t have to put your kid in the firing line? Are you gonna shoot at the cops who show up with the Obama Youth squad, one of the squad members being the son of the secretary at work?
sharrukin on November 28, 2008 at 1:23 AM
Is it just me, or does he come off like a little kid playing dress up? The whole thing with having to have the “Office of the President-Elect” sign on the podium and the opening credits seems so silly to me…like, who doesn’t know that he won? We get it dude, you’re gonna be prez…I don’t know why it just strikes me as sophomoric and funny…
Whenever I see him playing President, it reminds me of my nieces when they were little walking around in my high heels.

My neighbors live pretty far from us. If someone comes to my door with the squad, or cops I will do just that. We don’t associate with our neighbors we all love our privacy. But, they will have a fight if they do come to my door. I would have to really know someone to help them. I do for my hubby and myself. My friends, and family. That is that. Not the type to stick up for someone I don’t know very well. Unless I witness something and would speak up for them. I do care about people. But, am very choosy on that.

Interesting, but in my opinion, stupid. The kid hasn’t been elected yet. He sure is floating a lot of crap out on the air waves to see which way the tide is going. No, I didn’t watch it, hear enough of his BS on the radio. I can just hear his advisers, hope and change, well hope this change works!
Unless the electoral college gets its head out of where the sun don’t shine, things are going to be interesting. As far as supporting this turkey, bull crap. I’ll do everything in my power to undermine him and the idiots that voted for him as they did to Bush.

I am sorry, but I can’t bear this incredible self-promotion after the election. What is the purpose of all this weekly adverstisement conferences? We already know that President Elect Obama will save the planet, nay the Universe! I feel like he wants to teach the whole world how a great man he is, and that if anything goes wrong don’t forget he told us difficult times were ahead.

Obama,
the campaign is over and the fawning by the media over how savvy you are using the internet will not change any facts on the ground.

Part of me is glad he won. The Dems now have clear majorities in, well, everything. Let them screw it up. You know they are going to, and this way they cant hang it over a Republican, though I think we all know they will try.
Like I told my boss the day after the election. “You have veto proof majorities in both houses, and you got your golden boy in office. Enjoy this time. Because when the honeymoons ends it will be one hell of a hangover.” The state has already taken everything it can from me, so this downturn cant hurt me anymore than it already has… Hard to take away from nothing. Though Im sure Barry will try his best to subtract from zero.
Use this time to organize, you know, like a community :-P

As a constitutional lawyer/professor he should know there is no office of President-elect in the Constitution. But to him the Constitution is just some outdated nice words written by white slave holders on a pretty piece of old parchment.
Phooey on Obama.
abcurtis on November 28, 2008 at 7:44 AM
Ah, but he cares not what is written in the constitution. It is headed for the shredder on day one of his administration.

I watched some of the coverage of the Mumbai bombings on CNN International late yesterday. They did a bit on world reaction. The only reaction they reported from the U.S. was Obama’s statement. I know President Bush issued a statement, but they ignored him. I won’t make the mistake of watching CNN again–even if they ARE the only ones covering a breaking story.
Dee2008 on November 28, 2008 at 8:08 AM
I’m sorry, I don’t buy this shredding the constitution line. I think what is more likely is an awakening in the principles of freedom as people realize that we’ve been highjacked by poseurs and frauds.
A large number of these crooks are in congress and fighting to hang on. At least 5 of them belong in jail right now.
Barry is in a bind. Support crooks or alienate your base.
They can’t keep the money flowing without printing it, and you can’t get anywhere without money. Cartoon characters will be able to run against these guys in 4 years as we all go broke just paying for food.

nondhimmie on November 28, 2008 at 9:21 AM
Who, exactly, will hold him accountable? It isn’t that they control the elected branches only, they have infiltrated and control, state, justice and the pentagon. They will soon control the supreme court and all the courts. The next congress will move with incredible speed to fill all the vacant bench positions. It was no coincidence that push could never get any of his appointees approved, it was part of the plan. The constitution is history. The electoral college will be history. Anybody who thinks this is just a streak of bad luck for the conservatives is part of the problem. This has been a longterm gameplan by the left and they are on the verge of total victory. schumer and barney and their foul associates go on tv and laugh at the American people. And there is nothing that we can or will do about it.

Bravo. Playing dress up is an awesome analogy for this clown. That whole President Elect Seal business makes me laugh every time I see it. Like anyone in the media would ever let us forget this a**clown won the 2008 election if he didn’t have the seal. They’re naming schools for him and he hasn’t even done a d*mn thing yet. This is going to be a really mentally taxing 4 years. I can just see he’s going to make an absolute pig’s ear of anything he does…and he’ll never admit it, and the media is going to lie their collective a**es off about the consequences. The reason why the dress up analogy works so well is his Presidency is going to be image; expect a lot of pictures of him ‘doing the work of the American People’ with his sleeves rolled up, looking serious and constipated. The cognitive dissonance will set in soon enough; we’ll hear all these stories about how smart he is and how hard he’s working, but things will keep getting worse. If they can shut talk radio up, they can probably keep a lid on it up to the midterm elections. But oh, it’s going to be so annoying.

Oddly,, my first gut response was,,, this guy has no clue what he is about to walk into. He actually thinks all he has to do is show up,, issue commands and take charge,, just issue edicts and give speeches to the followers and all will be well.
This is near mental.

Just suppose we are fortunate enough to get a conservative legislature and president in four years. How long is it going to take to straighten out the mess that this turkey and congress has caused? Oh they will probably enact tax cuts, but what about the releasing our natural resources? Have you ever seen congress remove bad bills that have been passed? No, they try to amend them to be palatable. Unless this nation can get some legislators with guts that will clean things up for the benefit of the Nation and work within the frame work of the Constitution, we are still screwed, just our people doing it to us. The only difference is the Dems have the guts to do what they want, and conservatives don’t.

I wonder if he relizes that Pres. Lincoln was a Republican??? I know that my kids did reports of Lincoln in elementary school and the books that they used(small, for ages 7-8-9)did not mention anywhere that he was a Republican… I bet most blacks don’t realize that Lincoln was a Rep….

Folks/my friends/fellow commentators, I’m all for border security, fences on all borders (that includes Alaska-Yukon Territory) and to prevent a MANPAD (man-launched surface-to-air missile) from taking out an airliner. It’s being fair to the people whose only crime was crossing the border illegally and do jobs Americans won’t.
HotAirJosef on November 28, 2008 at 12:14 PM
You’re a friggin’ RINO appeaser. I’m not going to engage in witty reparte or useless bickering with you either. Alaska’s not being destroyed by law breakers to do jobs that Americans won’t do for slave wages and in slave-like conditions. Hospitals are closing because they are being forced to treat people who should not be leaching resources that are paid for by hard working, tax paying Americans.

And then, we’ll have the first President-Elect since the founding fathers that was born as a British subject unless the Supreme Court decides to uphold our Constitution.

I didn’t vote for Obama but he is the president elect and will be the sitting President after Jan 20th. Do I think his addresses are a little overdone but it is his style and we may as well get used to it.
To all those who keep saying that Barack Obama will not be “your” President…grow up…if you can’t respect the man respect the office…the left may not have respected the office but that doesn’t make it right for you all to do the same…If you want to put an effort forth do so towards the 2010 mid terms and the 2012 Presidential elections not in tearing down or disrespecting the office of president.
Now you all have the choice on how you behave…I choose to act like a civilized adult as I did with every seated President since Jimmy Carter

#1. 100% Border Security to fight terror and lax Canuck immigration policies is better than on the cheap. I live near the Canuck border in NW WA state and frankly I’m more worried about the next Ressam than some migrant worker crossing the border illegally.
#2. I hear ya about the hospitals. We should send Latin America the bill for public services their citizens consume. Or take it out of non-humanitarian (read military, economic, etc.) foriegn aid to ‘em. That’ll shake ‘em up.

The words were great and inspiring. However, for them to have the most impact they had to heard without the visual of Obombem.
Watching them delivered by Obombem was a great distraction which adds to the premise that our President elect does not truly believe the words he is repeating from a teleprompter.

I happened to be listening to Bob Costas’ radio show this morning (don’t ask me why) and he was having a discussion with one of his guests about whether the assasination of JFK or 9/11 was a more significant event. He was engaging in the what if game — what if JFK hadn’t been assasinated, he could have accomplished great things, he could have lived up to his promise, blah, blah, blah. What if 9/11 had never happened, George Bush probably wouldn’t have adopted his horrible unconstitutional policies (I’m paraphrasing, but Costas has said that Bush is the worst Pres ever), we wouldn’t have gone to war in Iraq, but then again we probably wouldn’t have Barack Obama as the President-Elect. Of course, Costas then concluded that 9/11 was the more significant effect b/c heaven forbid Obama didn’t get elected. Costas is a joke — he should definitely stick to sports. He’s a perfect example of a liberal elitist in an ivory white tower.
