I’m on semi-vacation this week, blogging from the ancestral Morrissey homes in Southern California, so I want to give folks a chance to see the Best of the Ed Morrissey Show. Today, I’m replaying my interview with Robert Davi as his new movie The Dukes hits the theaters. Being the movie addict that I am, I’ve always enjoyed Davi’s work. We talk about An American Carol, The Dukes, and his career, as well as his commitment to conservative values and politics. You’ll also hear from Jim Geraghty, the RNC’s Frank Donatelli, and experience lots of Open Source Production
And the chat room is open, folks! Enjoy yourselves!

Davi is a fine character actor; he played Commander Kolya, a standout villain on the Stargate: Atlantis series.

Was he in the original ‘Die Hard’? He was in it for probably a minute as an FBI agent, but stole the scene.

Yeah he came and took over from the cops and then lead a stupid gunship attack on the building

He was on of the bad brothers in Goonies! I like him.

Is that where he wrote “Bigmouth Strikes Again”? Man, I love that song. I think it was in the Queen is Dead album but it could have been from Louder than Bombs. They were both good.

Ah, but Morrissey on his own will never be as good as when he was one of The Smiths!
What about “There is a light, that never goes out” or “reel around the fountain!”
I’m such an 80s geek!

Kolya was framed!

Even though those were Smiths albums that I quoted I agree with you. It’s almost like Johny Marr had a more successful post-Smiths career than “I’m more mopey than the Cure” Morrissey. What with Electronic and The the.
What was this thread about again?

I think it was about how often I got asked whether I was related to The Smiths’ lead singer when I bought records in the 80s.
