I believe that plenty will happen in the first year of his presidency that will be worth discussing. He’s my President soon, whether or not I wanted that, so I wish him well. But, I don’t expect good things and I’ll be vigilant.

George W has stuck to the new tone and not defended himself to the point his administration became ineffective from hyper-partisan attacks alone. Common decency fails with these democrat hacks.

Changing back to the Clinton administration, without the dot com bubble in progress will not restore the 1990s. Failed policies and failed cabinet members need to exposed up front to have credibility when their deviation from Conservative values leads to failure.

I don’t disagree, it’s not so much hatred as it is frustration. While there are many (OK, at least 47 million of us), the problem is that there are 50+ million who only get their news and views from the MSM. Thus it’s not hatred, but concern about how to overcome this built-in handicap. Our side has to not only run against the opposition party, but also the media. Palin has the talent for it, your description fits her to a “T”. Reagan had that ability. Unfortunately, the media also learns and adapts, they will prevent the results with Palin that they encountered from Reagan by not giving her the same forum. The challenge for us is how to overcome this handicap; Ailes comments are not helpful in that regard.

Yeah, but that’s life. We’d be better off if we moved onward and upward, concentrating on forming a clear message. Yes, the MSM isn’t fair (may they die a slow, painful death), Sarah Palin was and is treated like crap. Now what? Feet to the fire?! The only heat/feet combo from the MSM was bringing him warm fuzzy slippers and asking if he was comfy enough.

I’m torn here. Sure, the “right” thing to do would be to let Obama screw up first before launching a full attack. However, if we do that, we just invite more of the same kind of thing we put up with the last 8 years when Bush was attacked mercilessly even before he was inaugurated. It’s arguable that the incessant media onslaught weakened his resolve over the past several years — an administration can only take so much demonization.

we have some obligation in a new presidency not to attempt to destabilize it.

We can at least let team Obama know we don’t have any wool pulled over our eyes. 63 million are fooled, 57 million are not.

But in principle I agree, we are after all not Democrats. He won, hope he does a good job. But I ain’t drinking the Kool-Aid or being blinded by the “light” no matter what.
