Praise Obama when he deserves it, criticize him when he deserves it, fight his administration like hell when it seems poised to do something against what we believe, defend him when he appears to be in the right. I’m not a fan of ODS either. But, he will be our president. Acting like the moonbats just isn’t me.

Agreed.

Count to 10 on November 22, 2008 at 9:49 AM

also AGREE; We don't need to 'behave' like the crazie lefties of these past 8 years. Just be adults, stay involved and be vocal without being deranged.

I believe that plenty will happen in the first year of his presidency that will be worth discussing. He's my President soon, whether or not I wanted that, so I wish him well. But, I don't expect good things and I'll be vigilant.

Why wait...

How Sedition and Corruption Elected a Coup

As evidenced by a new documentary, the press kept knowledge of anything negative about Obama and the Democrats completely quiet. The average voter had no clue about Bill Ayers, Tony Resko, George Soros, how the Democrats set up the housing crash, how the Democrats set up the Wall Street fiasco, the pending redistribution of wealth, that socialism is a cancer or the coming destruction of the domestic coal industry. No matter how important those stories were to the election, none of them were big enough to force the media to cover them. There was no scandal. No 'October Surprise'. But there could have been. And there should have been.

What was the fired attorney's 'scandal' all about? What role did Alberto Gonzales play in national security? Why were so many people fired or transferred from Executive branch agencies? Why were lawyers replaced with 'good Americans'?Why were leaks the common way the New York Times compromised national security? Why did the American People not know?

Finally, the entire corruption case is on line. It has been a secret until now. With the election over and the power changing only in title, read how sedition and public corruption resulted in a coup, through democratic elections. Search over 2,300 related news articles and documents. View the entire case docket history and evidence submissions.

I read the quote and figured it was some MSM jagoff trying to cover his tracks with respect to why they will be so soft on Barack. Then I saw it was Ailes. I have to agree, with the exception of Hannity, Fox does do a MUCH better job of avoiding bias.

This quote assumes we are dealing with opponents with the basic common decency needed for polite debate and reasonable compromises.

George W has stuck to the new tone and not defended himself to the point his administration became ineffective from hyper-partisan attacks alone. Common decency fails with these democrat hacks.

Changing back to the Clinton administration, without the dot com bubble in progress will not restore the 1990s. Failed policies and failed cabinet members need to exposed up front to have credibility when their deviation from Conservative values leads to failure.

But Richardson> Please. What a light weight. The AG select? Doofus or whore. Take your pick. Whatever he is, America is not his country of choice. He let every criminal and terrorist he could off the hook.

One of the Top Ten hidden influences in our lives today is that the media believes that they know better. To repeat, they know better so it is OK to bend the truth. Hubris. Abuse of power.

BTW -- Wasn't it Murphy9 with the comment about Clinton -- first black president and The One? Most excellent and wise.

If we let a sort of festering hatred of the MSM and liberals rule us, conservatives are going to be in the wilderness for ages.
ddrintn on November 22, 2008 at 12:22 AM

I don't disagree, it's not so much hatred as it is frustration. While there are many (OK, at least 47 million of us), the problem is that there are 50+ million who only get their news and views from the MSM. Thus it's not hatred, but concern about how to overcome this built-in handicap. Our side has to not only run against the opposition party, but also the media. Palin has the talent for it, your description fits her to a "T". Reagan had that ability. Unfortunately, the media also learns and adapts, they will prevent the results with Palin that they encountered from Reagan by not giving her the same forum. The challenge for us is how to overcome this handicap; Ailes comments are not helpful in that regard.

This learning to live with double-standards is so hard.

AZfederalist on November 22, 2008 at 12:17 AM
Yeah, but that's life. We'd be better off if we moved onward and upward, concentrating on forming a clear message. Yes, the MSM isn't fair (may they die a slow, painful death), Sarah Palin was and is treated like crap. Now what?

they are trying to score favoritism with Obama to get interviews and good seats in the White House press room. Pretty pathetic.

So, howcum the press didn't have to do that during the Bush administration? Did the Bush administration ever toss Maureen Dowd, Andrea Mitchell, or any other snarky news reporter or reporter-ette?

This learning to live with double-standards is so hard.

How decent of Ailes. The same kind of courtesy to Palin with that Carl Cameron report?
Spare me, they are trying to score favoritism with Obama to get interviews and good seats in the White House press room. Pretty pathetic.

I love it! You captured the MSM coverage of the election succinctly and accurately.

They barely put his feet to the fire before he became President-Elect. Why start now?
eforhan on November 21, 2008 at 10:14 PM
Feet to the fire?! The only heat/feet combo from the MSM was bringing him warm fuzzy slippers and asking if he was comfy enough.

I’m torn here. Sure, the “right” thing to do would be to let Obama screw up first before launching a full attack. However, if we do that, we just invite more of the same kind of thing we put up with the last 8 years when Bush was attacked mercilessly even before he was inaugurated. It’s arguable that the incessant media onslaught weakened his resolve over the past several years — an administration can only take so much demonization.

AZfederalist on November 21, 2008 at 11:19 PM
Praise Obama when he deserves it, criticize him when he deserves it, fight his administration like hell when it seems poised to do something against what we believe, defend him when he appears to be in the right. I'm not a fan of ODS either. But, he will be our president. Acting like the moonbats just isn't me.

we have some obligation in a new presidency not to attempt to destabilize it.

We can at least let team Obama know we don't have any wool pulled over our eyes. 63 million are fooled, 57 million are not.

But in principle I agree, we are after all not Democrats. He won, hope he does a good job. But I ain't drinking the Kool-Aid or being blinded by the "light" no matter what.

Ailes said he had not given any orders about how the network should treat Barack Obama, despite a recent report that he had instructed Fox News hosts to show deference to the president-elect.
Rather, he said he told staffers at a meeting that "all presidents deserve time to get their team on the ground and get organized."

Uhh, mmkay. Roger has his master's in double-talk. Who served the Kool-Aid? It wasn't an order; it was a "suggestion." Riiight. Fox News should black itself out until The One does at least as much damage as Bush did this year.

Confirmation of why I don't watch much Fox News these days. I cut down even before they hired Snake Oil Huckster.

OK, Roger. You and Rupert keep playing the RINO of the news business and see where it gets you.

One thing about the libs in general, when you justifiably attack, they tend to back down, when you remain silent, they continue their chaos and crap. Much like children.
