Via Breitbart, evidently Eliot wasn’t the only Spitzer whom “Kristen” felt connected to. Her surprise and sympathy are understandable: The odds that any of her clients might be married couldn’t have been more than, oh, say, five in 10.
An interesting bit comes at the end when they try to flesh out the distinction between “escort” and “prostitute.” Dupre claims escorts offer more than sex, but her rendezvous with Spitz evidently involved nothing more than a few hours in a hotel room. I think she’s actually drawing a class distinction, albeit one that feels sufficiently absurd that she’s reluctant to articulate it: Street-walkers are “prostitutes” but those on call, who command four-figure rates, fancy themselves as something more precious. Blue collar and white collar, if you will. Exit question: Are you ready for Senator Spitzer?

It’s not the escorts who wreck the homes, it’s the Johns who pay for their services. I think prostitution is an honest, lucrative and honorable career choice. It ought to be legal.
The suckers like Spitzer who are willing to pay such exorbitant sums for this, though, deserve what they get.

It is interesting how that unfolded. When Dupre said that prostitution and escort are the same, it gave me hope. Despite Sawyer LEADING her to justify “escort”, Dupre seems to know there is no underlying moral distinction. She strikes me as authentically contrite and intellectually honest. Probably moreso than Sawyer.

I know someone who booked her and several other prostitutes from her agency. He lived in the same building as the madame Kristin Billie Davis. The building, coincidentally, was built by Spitzer’s father, and the former Governor used to live there himself.
Anyway, that rate is BS. She made up to $1200 an hour, but more often $800 on a CC call. If she worked incall $400 to $600 an hour. Guaranteed.
Spitzer had a strange pay arrangement with the agency. She got $4000 or whatever when she was busted, because she was collecting in advance for the agency. Her rate was grossly exaggerated just to sensationalize the story.
I have met hookers who commanded huge salaries, even one from that agency who made %50K tax-free in a few months and bought property in Belgium. Ashlee Dupree was nothing that spectacular, just young and accommodating.

I think she was sorry, and I think that she regrets what she did…and I hope she moves on. But her step-dad is understandably upset, and probably treated it correctly. Basically saying you have to earn the right for respect, and earn you right to enter back into our relationship with honesty.
