Why are we still not using electronic voting machines nationwide? I don’t believe for one second that an e-voting machine is more susceptible to fraud than this debacle we are witnessing.

I take it you’ve never done any programming? or hacking, for that matter. Let’s put it this way: a purely electronic solution would be the easiest to rig.

And you’d never know it was rigged.

Dear God, this is why people hate politicians. Both campaigns are being downright absurd if Franken is arguing a clear erased mark over his name signifies a vote for him and Coleman is arguing that the voter intended to vote for Barkley in 8 when it’s so obvious that massive filled in bubble next to Franken’s name signifies a vote for him.

Insanity.

We use the exact same ballot format in Connecticut and for the love of God, having cast these types of ballots twice (primary and general election this year) I am utterly dumbfounded that anyone with an IQ above room temperature could screw one of these up.

It really couldn’t be easier: take few moments to look over the ballot and then fill in the bubble that corresponds to your choice.

They simply cannot make it easier to cast or easier to verify. Mark the bubble. In the event of a hand recount the votes are right there, clearly visible for all to see.

It’s Geico voting: so easy, even a caveman can do it!

Honestly, I don't do mind reading and cannot conjure that voter's intent from the cosmos. It looks like they crossed out Franken but perhaps they meant to underline his name. I'd judge a 'no vote' for that office only (as I am also not Carnac the Magnificant either).
