Video: Metaphor of the day

Scenes from a new world record to cleanse the palate. As always with the MOTD, multiple interpretations are possible. A pantomime of the endless campaign, now ended, each new development colliding inexorably with the next until the last domino’s fallen and we’re left, cruelly and suddenly, to cope with the void? Or just a symbol of the path from Fannie/Freddie to Lehman Brothers on through to the Big Three and beyond?

Only one thing’s certain: The “Mission Impossible” harness in the second clip is awesome.

Blowback

Hot Air just jumped the shark.

Watching these clips got me to thinking…

Why do you suppose people with OCD let us get away with shortening it to an acronym?

I definitely want one for my living room.

So Sergi…what do you do for a living….?

I’m a domino-ista.

A what…?

NeoKong on November 19, 2008 at 8:26 PM

Yah…how do I explain to my Sunday Schoolers that I spent 5 minutes watching dominoes fall
and another thirty seconds writing this?
Maybe I just also jumped the shark.

Amendment X on November 19, 2008 at 8:32 PM

I’m a domino-ista.

Is that anything like a dominotrix?

Dee2008 on November 19, 2008 at 8:37 PM

TheSitRep on November 19, 2008 at 9:07 PM

Yes, it’s Che.

……… I see the propaganda indoctrination public school system is working on steroids!

What’s next, you ask?

……………. One trillion dominos in a picture of Mr. Obama, President Elect, the Office of……

Seven Percent Solution on November 19, 2008 at 9:21 PM

Let’s face it: we live in a world where Che is a hero and George W. Bush is a war criminal…where a Blank slate socialist beats war hero extraordinaire for the presidency.

I won’t go on, but does Bizzarro World ring a bell?

stonemeister on November 19, 2008 at 9:21 PM

Saw this on Fox the other day and just KNEW it would end up on HotAir.

I see the Euro-libs are STILL worshipping the murderous Che, I thought they’d replace him with Mr. Hopenchange by now.

Tony737 on November 19, 2008 at 9:25 PM

Che liked to murder people who disagreed with him, but only if they were helpless.

People who like Che are complete scum.

This is only controversial because a significant number of people are insane.

Merovign on November 19, 2008 at 9:46 PM

Oh snap it’s Wayne Brady, son!!

Che Guevara? Really?

Kevin M on November 19, 2008 at 10:59 PM

We’ll always have Paris.

Shy Guy on November 20, 2008 at 3:33 AM

I would say it’s blasphemy to put the picture of Che next to the picture of the Dalai Llama.
