Hey, if it’s any consolation, the Giants and their fans had to put up with an off-season of stories about how they’d finish third at best in their division this year, behind Dallas and Philadelphia, and be lucky to make the playoffs after winning it all last season.

If the Titans beat Favre and the Jets next week in the CBS early national game, then they’ll start getting more respect from the national media.

First, Steve Young was the Niner QB, and yes, Obama could get shellacked with huge economic and foreign policy problems that make it obvious that his and the Dem Congress’s solutions are a disaster.

Although our currency has had a short-term run up due to the slowing economy worlwide, many other countries are better postitioned to get out of the recession sooner than us and we have a government that wants to reinforce foolish behavior in personal, government, and business areas by creating more debt and adding more money supply. Eventually, the US dollar will continue it’s generational slide as many nations gradually ween themselves off of it and find other reserve currencies. The party may be over. Also, be careful buying gold. Much of gold demand is driven by jewelry which is more of a luxury.

Yep, Titans are my team too. But the New York Giants are going to get more coverage regardless. Plus they’re the champs til someone knocks them off.

Heck I am bitter, dumped in snow for the rest of this week (at least till Wed). Gonna show my DH that Mormon video on food preservation/storage see if I can get him to change his mind and start stocking up. And kitty litter for the car.

I pick them to lose next week too. I always pick them to lose. Any bailout of the big 3 should be conditional on the Fords having to sell the Lions.

Why? I have never gotten over the 1994 AFC Championship game so I wish the Chargers ill for all time!

The Steelers had a defense for the ages that year and it was built to face the ‘west coast’ offense like that in San Francisco at the time. Rod Woodson was a big part of it and they thrived at shuting down the slants, short curls and etc. I wanted to see them face San Francisco.

Then San Diego came to Pittsburgh in January. I laughed at the prospect of the beach boy bolts playing in frigid temps.

Well, it was 70 degrees at game time. The only defense the bolts had was some fatties that could clog the middle and stuff the run. And the Steelers were predominately a running team. HA.

Based on a trick toss to the tight end and the Steelers failure to convert on fourth and goal from the four, the Chargers beat the Steelers and went to the Super Bowl with a pass defense rated 30th. Meantime, the Chargers danced at home and bragged about how they kicked Pittsburgh’s rear. They also claimed to be the best team in years. They were mostly a one trick pony but it worked for them.
