The company I work for recognizes same-sex partnerships for the company benefits package, but not my opposite sex partnership. How’s that for inclusive? The company my partner works for has the same wording in their benefits package. Same-sex life partner is covered; opposite sex life partner is not.

Well, fine. Let them marry, and never mind the will of the people or state’s rights. And enjoy the marriage penalty tax, alimony and child support when the marriage is no longer convenient or politically expedient.

But how about, in return, the crazies learn to live like human beings and forego freak-fests like the Folsom Street Fair? Dare to dream.

Grease the skids. This slope is not slippery enough yet.
