My sentiments exactly. It’s in two clips, submitted for your approval below.
In case you’re keeping score, total number of Democrats thus far who’ve expressed even the tiniest reservations about Obama’s chumminess with this unrepentant piece of shinola: One.

See how smoothly she called out Obama on his promise to run a bipartisan administration and then offered her support if he needed help to do it. Man what a legend throwing down a challenge like that before Obama even takes office.

Wrong, She has to prove herself to the american people. She will have a couple of years to get ready if she decides to run. Most of the base will evaluate her in the campaign trail to see if she deserves votes.
No one is a given.. She has to prove herself and we all know that..

If Obama had half a brain , he would put her in charge of DOE and drill .
When the oil price falls to 20 dollars a barrel , Putin , Chavez and dinnerjacket would be looking for “dialog” and kissing his feet.
He would be reelected.

Gov Palin shows how bipartianship is done. says we have problems with Obama but if working together benefits the entire nation we will swallow our disagreements for the common good.

Hello? One of the first things BHO is going to do is reinstate the EO on offshore drilling. He liked gas at $4.00/gal wa sjus tupset it got there so quickly. The $4.00/gal gas is going to cost taxpayers $50-$100b in bailout money for the suto makers, Almost $1 trillion for the banks but you know $4.00/gal was ok by BHO. In Obamaland unicorns will make it all better.

Yes, I know unseen. The thing is…..now that gas is under $3, the increase in gas prices will be blamed on…I know, Bush. But, if we are smart, we can blame it on the president obmama, the democratic controlled congress and senate…..attacks to the wallet are serious business.

Note to John McCain: This is the kind of rhetoric you should be using instead of lauding Obama and Biden as wonderful people who would do a good job too.
Note to John McCain apologists who are defending the way he threw Palin under the bus when his staffers started dishing lies to the MSM. We now know who the man was on the ticket.

Philly on November 12, 2008 at 7:21 PM
I think it’s pretty clear. Palin is looking at the Obama planned government of radical leftists and imagining she is going to have an opportunity to hammer O in the future for his too far left, disastrous programs that the nation should have known by his relationships was going to occur.
Plus, Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright are busily being rehab’d by the press so they can show up in Obama’s life or be part of his history without screwing his legacy. Unfortunately for these gentleman, they are too ideologically steeped in their own BS and will say something in the next few years.
Palin is betting on that.
Kat_Mo on November 12, 2008 at 7:21 PM
I really don’t think it a defense of McCain, just a belief that Palin will be better served and come out of this in a stronger position if she defends herself. Not that you were speaking to me spefically highhopes, it’s just how I feel about it. I think anyone appearing to come to the “rescue” of Palin will only be used by the MSM to portray her as weak by needing to be “rescued” and have something else to bash her with. But, if she handles this herself, it will only make her more credible to more people. Which I think she is perfectly capable of doing.
Hog Wild on November 12, 2008 at 7:26 PM

One of Palin’s best talents is slapping with one hand while smiling and offering the other hand out to help. Palin you rock-stay strong.
canditaylor68 on November 12, 2008 at 7:30 PM
Fact of the matter is the tally would have been even more dismal for McCain without Palin (even the CNN poll at this point says that).
McCain was a bad choice from the beginning foisted on the party by idiots who wanted to make this about “electability” over principle. They thought McCain would be an easy win over Hillary Clinton and didn’t even stop to consider that somebody else would get the not. Some of these idiots (Wise_men for example) were downright dishonorable in their defense of McCain over real Republicans. These evil people cost any chance the GOP had this election cycle. In retrospect I honestly think many, including Wise_men, were really operatives for Obama.
The way ahead for 2010 and 2012 is to take a principled stand. That strategy dictates purging the party of many of these worthless idiots who value electability over true conservative values. To win the GOP needs to rally the base and you can’t do that with the political traitors, Judases, and Quisling from the McCain wing of the party.
highhopes on November 12, 2008 at 7:30 PM
You need in excess of 60 million votes to win the election. Do you honestly think there are 60 million self-professed conservatives?

sheebe on November 12, 2008 at 7:33 PM
That is an excellent point that I hadn’t considered.
Where I fault McCain is not telling his people to knock it off when they start attacking Palin as anonymous sources for the MSM feeding frenzy. Sure they are bitter at the loss and had no love for Palin in the first place but dishing untrue or misstated events to Carl Cameron without attribution is nothing but low-class thuggery. McCain brought Palin onto the ticket. He at least owes her enough to stop HIS people from trashing her character.
highhopes on November 12, 2008 at 7:36 PM
I think there’s a decent chance she asked McCain to stay mum on this topic, just like McCain clearly asked Bush to steer clear of his campaign — to avoid guilt by association.
I do think that McCain comes off as a very inept boss to not chastise his staffers for running their mouths, so for that reason alone I have lost respect for him.

Go back to the Kos Kids with that kind of moronic mis-labeling followed by moral outrage. Self-professed conservatives???? What the hell is a self-professed conservative? This isn’t an AA meeting where you need to admit to yourself and others that you are an alcoholic!
There are at least 60 million voters who would support the traditional conservative values of smaller and limited government, lower taxes and federal spending, and the culture of life over the left’s culture of death. That doesn’t mean all of them are “self-professed conservatives” (see how stupid that is?).
The GOP in 2008 didn’t give the voters enough of a choice to make a distinction. Republicans didn’t run a conservative they ran a Democrat wannabe who was, essentially, running to the right of the Democrat party instead of appealing to the GOP base. Republicans went out and voted for McCain but they voting for the least objectionable liberal. McCain never enjoyed the grassroots enthusiasm and passion that was key in GWB’s elections. True to McCain’s mom, they held their nose and voted for McCain but they didn’t put out the signs, raise the money, stuff envelopes, or do all the other stuff that was clearly necessary this election to beat back an empty suit with a “historic” twist.
It’s a message you can take back to all the other self-professed moonbats who are lurking in the HA belfry.

I’ll let the self-professed go for now. But the answer to the question is yes, and there will be many more in 2012 after you all are done with barracks training, high taxes, renting, year-long job searches, and empty promises. Feel free to consider enrolling now and save yourself the agony. Mandatory jumping-jacks are a bitch.

well she has pledged to do more for those with special needs so you might benefit from this
joey24007 on November 12, 2008 at 7:56 PM
Bobby Jindal is already starting visits to Iowa. According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Bobby saw that it wasn’t in his best interests to attach himself to McCain’s losing ticket. I’m more inclined to think that Jindal is shrewd enough to understand that he needed to be better positioned politically to come off as anything other the “Indian guy” on McCain’s ticket to offset the “multi-racial guy.”
In short, Jindal is a real contender for 2012. It appears he will be using these four years to position himself within the party, get a track record of experience, raise money and supporters, and otherwise do all the things Palin didn’t have the chance to do before the media attacked her (and complained that they hadn’t been able to vet her before her nomination).
highhopes on November 12, 2008 at 7:57 PM
It is more a mockery of the Palin fever. She hasn’t proven herself to my satisfaction yet. And call it old school but it is a little presumptuous to declare her the chosen one as some are doing — thought we looked down on that with Obama. There may be a better candidate than her.
As to what do you win… I went to the link. Are you saying that every person who voted for Bush was a conservative? I didn’t see it on the page but if you did point me to the general paragraph.
Bradky on November 12, 2008 at 7:59 PM
That all sounds about right. I don’t think Palin will be in a position to run for the top of the ticket, and I wonder if anyone will risk her in a VP slot. Four years is a long time, I suppose.
Jaibones on November 12, 2008 at 8:00 PM
Agreed on Palin, but I feel like praising her, not mocking her. If the mockery is for those who would have her running for President in four years, I agree – I can’t see it.
As for the link, yes: 62 million votes for Bush, and no, they’re not all conservatives, but they all thought Bush was.
Jaibones on November 12, 2008 at 8:02 PM

Bradky on November 12, 2008 at 8:05 PM
Well done, wasn’t it! Speaking more slowly might support a more statesmanship presentation. But it’s clear, now that Team McCain no longer muzzles her, that her brain is waaay ahead of her mouth, not to mention ahead of those in MSM who presume to interview her.
petefrt on November 12, 2008 at 8:07 PM

BOR’s coverage of her is interesting. Kinky says women’s groups did not defend ‘Cuda or Hillary. He’s right.
Philly on November 12, 2008 at 8:07 PM
There is nothing, let me repeat, NOTHING, more exciting to Progressives than watching conservatives foam at the mouth over Sarah Palin. Seriously? We LOVE her. Why? Because she epitomizes everything that’s wrong with the GOP and why they will never appeal to anyone under the age of 40 (and soon to be 50) ever again.
Yes, I know, you “love” her. You think she’s “hot”. She’s “just like you.” She’s not “elitist.” Think about what all that really means though. You are telling the rest of America that the President shouldn’t be exceptional, they should just be…nice and friendly and someone you would see everyday.
I think most Americans want an exceptional President. They want an intelligent President. And the MSM isn’t the one who makes her constantly mangle the English language and just make up words (progressing?!?!) what is that? Sarah Palin will win rural areas. But she won’t win suburban areas and thus, she won’t win the Presidency.

You know that Reagan is just too damn conservative to win … he is like a cowboy running around telling the world that the U.S. will be in charge
plus he only seems to get his message across to those low class folks who believe in “patriotism”
what we need is Gerald Ford in this election … he has what it takes to bring in the moderates, he has what it takes to bring in the “educated”
Ford is the future of the GOP … this Reagan will be a disaster
joey24007 on November 12, 2008 at 8:17 PM
Rest assured you can stay on the Kos Kool-Aid. Like Obama is an unworthy vessel for a lofty ideal, Palin is a stand in for real Repbulicans fighting for conservative values at all levels of government.
In both cases, the reality is going to fall far short of the hype. In Palin’s case, that means a more realistic assessment. In Obama’s case the fall is going to be hard as the reality doesn’t match the hype and promises. IMO, the press and many Obama supporters will start to fall away by June 2008 as vague broad statements are interrupted by running a nation at war with economic problems at home. Blaming Bush will work for a while but come 2012, Obama will (for the first time in his terrorist-criminal-racist supporting political life) have a track record of his own.
Take that too back to your fellow moonbats.

Sarah Palin is like the second-string QB who comes into the Super Bowl after the first-stringer is injured during the second quarter and her team is trailing by three touchdowns. She moves the ball down the field consistently for the remainder of the game and scores points on almost every possession but eventually Obama holds on to win by a touchdown. Pundits consider Sarah a ‘natural’ talent who shows great promise and that she has a great future if she ever becomes a first-stringer. Folks, Sarah is now the first-stringer. The ball is now in her court. I believe she will now run with it. When was the last time that a losing Republican candidate in a Presidential election has had a 91% approval rating from her own party? Maybe never!

Can you define ordinary people to me? Because I don’t really know how you can claim Obama “despises” ordinary people? Is this entirely based on “bittergate” because…Americans looked at that comment, they heard it blasted at them over and over during Spring and if they stumbled near a talk radio station they also heard it. This is the thing that’s so silly about claiming that Obama “despises” ordinary Americans. You ultimately have to be saying that ordinary Americans are stupid for voting for him don’t you? And isn’t THAT kind of elitist?
Or is the claim that the 60+ million Americans who voted for him are not “ordinary” is that the claim? It’s just such a ridiculous partisany hacky thing to assume. Obama doesn’t despise “ordinary Americans” he may “despise” conservative policies, but according to the amount of people who think the country is on the wrnog track, so do most Americans.
DeathToMediaHacks on November 12, 2008 at 8:52 PM
