I’m leaving this comment now because this thread seems just about dead. This was my video, I sent it in because I record the Strategy Room everyday so I can zip through the footage later to see if any of the Red Eye guys showed up. You’ll notice Bill Schulz is there, which is the only reason I watched this segment at all (I can’t stand The Strategy Room). I just clipped the first minute and twenty seconds of this topic because the most important part of the segment was Shep claiming there’s no media bias and that the media coverage was just reflecting public sentiment. The actual topic lasted for almost four minutes, and DiPaolo completely dropped the ball, and instead of hitting Shep and Napolitano with example after example of egregious bias — the savaging of Sarah Palin in one week vs. an almost total lack of investigation into Obama in two years, the “thrill up the leg”, Howard freakin KURTZ in the Washington Post admitting that the media coverage has been overwhelmingly biased in favor of Obama — DiPaolo fell back on his stand-up schtick about how it’s ALL media, not just the news, but film and television too, which has spent the last forty years denigrating white males, which caused the rest of them to just savage him with the question, “how does that have any bearing on this particular election?”. It was a bloodbath. So I didn’t send in the whole segment because if it got posted I didn’t want the HA community to be tormented watching DiPaolo get his ass completely handed to him by a couple of political morons who many of us could have easily annihilated on this topic. Anyway, the viewer only needs to see the first 1’20″, becuase Shep’s comments are by far the most outrageous, and tell a lot about the man.

Shep’s an *expletive deleted* if he thinks I’m buying his line! The top tier media defended Obama at every turn, refusing to investigate his background, dig into his record or pin him down on issues. Recall the same media that within a few days of Palin being picked had trawled through her life and slammed her with a barrage of half-truths, innuendo and lies? Or that had picked through Joe the Plumber’s life within 24 hours to hammer him with stories about tax liens? The same media could not be moved to say, find one of those guys from Obama’s past that he (in his own words) did “blow and weed” with? Not a single picture of a stoned Obama from years past? Or to actually find out what Obama’s relationship was with Ayers and ACORN? So don’t pretend, Msr Smith, that your petulantly defensive tirade has gone unnoticed by Fox viewers and hopefully your ratings tumble thereby.

Shep is right that Fox did not elect Obama, but dead wrong about the rest.

I woudl have brought up Matthews’ orgasmic tingles, Olbermann’s tirades and Ginny Moose’s everyday hammering of Sarah Palin.

The media is not supposed to reflect the feeling in the country. It’s supposed to report the facts.
