I must say, though, as apparently the last holdout for public civility, that it’s hard to say whether I find casual obscenity more offensive than CorrectSpeak baby talk, i.e. “the ‘S’ word”, “the ‘L’ word”, “f-bomb”, “poop”, et cetera, each a locution worthy of nursery school.

Spoken English was formerly a tool of great precision in the hands of adults.

Scarborough has been cheering the Republicans to defeat since 2004. Perhaps now that the cleansing is underway, he will return to the reservation. I hope so. Joe was one of my favorites of the 1994 Republican Congress.

I often wonder myself. I used to think she was supposed to represent smart progressive women. But then I thought…she’s Mika, at best she could represent sponge-minded progressive women. And why use her when you have snarky Rachel Maddow (who is my favorite pundit out there next to Chris Wallace and Shep Smith, all of whom tend to realize their industry is a little bit ridiculous). But Mika? UGH. Liberals wonder why conservatives think we’re latte sipping empty heads? There’s why.
