Unions, which I personally have little use for, are not a device existing outside of the capitalistic system. They are a part of the capitalistic system.

Point being is that the unions did not destroy the car companies. Incompetent auto industry management incapable of dealing with unions allowed unions to kill our auto industry.

Unions are a management issue and management either deals with it by devaluing the union or they let the union eventually run the company into the ground. Sorry. There is no middle ground here.

One of the [many] ways management can devalue a union is to improve the work environment to the point that the workers find their union dues valueless. If the company management does this while creating exciting new products each year that make the company more interesting for the employee, customers and shareholders the union will die. Scores of American companies have proved this over the past 50 years. Why were US auto executives so unsuccessful in this endeavor?

Screw all these guys (meaning the big 3 auto execs and the unions). Let the Toyota buy the big three for their current market cap value (that’s not much right now), fire the unions, carve whatever meat is left on their bones and then throw the rest in the scrap heap.

This really is happening.

But the population doesn’t understand that the Democrats intend to make is worse not better. They simply want to choose different winners. Unions instead of Corporate. Although to do this they will help many Americans making less than a living wage (a wage high enough to pay for medical insurance, transportation to work, housing and food). Right now the minimum wage will not do that making people “earning” it more or less job slaves(dependant on others or the state for medical and sometimes even food).

“Simplistic notion”?

You have a little bit of money, right? You probably have some in your wallet right now. If I were to walk up to you and ask you to “redistribute” the money you have in your wallet right now, how would you respond?

As a Member of Congress, you are a heck of a lot richer than I will ever be, and yet you want me to not object as you try to take a lot more money out of my wallet than I could ever dream of taking out of yours.

I know many of you must have been SHOCKED to see VA go blue on 11/4. If you lived here in Arlington, Alexandria, or in Loudoun/Fairfax counties, you would have seen it coming a mile away. Bunch of Northeast transplants, mostly government employees whose numbers swelled during the Bush administration. I’m sure a lot of these Obama voters out here were throwing hissy fits because the bill came due for their big ass McMansions that they couldn’t afford and so although they’re very affluent, they whine and moan about the Bush economy. It’s pathetic.

And for what’s it worth, I am one of the Northeast transplants…

When it fails miserably, that may change — but it will be a painful lesson for American voters.

Like I said a couple of days ago….these yoots will soon be saying “My parents get smarter the older I get”.

Maybe we should start redistributing clues, because Moran obviously does not have one…

These unAmerican liberal trolls are all beginning to show their true colors in a way they never could before. What a relief for them to not have to wake up lying to your constituents every day.

They win one presidential election by a 53% – 46% margin, and they’ll convince themselves that that translates into overwhelming public support for radically redefining American. They’ll find out how wrong they are in about 4 years, when all the working class whites and Reagan Democrats run shrieking from Obama with their checkbooks on fire.

On election night, I watched Obama’s speech…I saw a man scared sh!tless at the realization of the enormity of what had just happened. Barack Obama will be a failure as President and won’t win a second term. Why? Because leaders have to know who they are inside, and Barack Obama doesnt. He’s a lost man…his entire life is a rather sad story of a person desperately trying to figure out exactly who he is.

As someone said, the Presidency is no place for on-the-job training. Obama is about to prove that.

Would he curse the person who stole it? Typically, when you car is stolen you think “how dare someone take something that I worked for and is MINE”.

Isn’t a chop shop a good illustration of the principles he is advocating?

Nothing he says should surprise you. In fact, he is a source of encouragement- are you stupid? You could be a congressman too!

Perfect! Let’s get a camera in front of her house and paint the picture. Then let’s go down to the restaurant owner and the mechanic and get a shot of their house. We need a Michael Moore-like movie for this.

You said it. Many of the gov’t workers I know are the epitome of the Obama voter – little work for decent pay, but more importantly, they get a job for life.

Socialism isn’t new to this country, it’s just starting to bubble over now though.

I pesonally am implementing my own ‘John Galt’ plan by having my wife quit her job and stay home with the kids. That way I gain a tax deduction and reduce my “contribution” to our new masters and societies hangers on.

I know Michael Milken, not a good friend, but I know him… he said that it wasn’t about the money past a certain point, (he already had more than enough) but it became about the power and the ability to manipulate… That is why the Google guys and the rest of he Uber-rich will be on board with this 110%…
