A picture of what to bring to a gunfight.

Bring a gun. Preferably, bring at least two guns. Bring all of your friends who have guns. Bring their friends who have guns.
If you can, make friends with those on the crew served weapons. Bring them as well. Borrow money from them, it gives them an added incentive to protect you.
Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap. Life is expensive.
Only hits count. Close doesn’t count. The only thing worse than a miss is a slow miss.
If your shooting stance is good, you’re probably not moving fast enough nor using cover correctly.
Move away from your attacker. Distance is your friend. (Lateral and diagonal movement are preferred.)
If you can choose what to bring to a gunfight, bring a long gun and a friend with a long gun.
In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics. They will only remember who lived and who didn’t.
If you are not shooting, you should be communicating (calling for arty or air support), reloading, and running.
Accuracy is relative: most combat shooting is more dependent on “pucker factor” than the inherent accuracy of the gun.
Use a gun that works EVERY TIME. “All skill is in vain when an Angel pisses in the flintlock of your musket.”
Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.
In combat, there are no rules, always cheat; always win. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.
Have a plan.
Have a back-up plan, because the first one won’t work.
Have a back-up, back-up plan in case CentCom or SecDef finds the first two plans “unacceptable”.
Use cover or concealment as much as possible. The only visible target should be in your gun sights.
Flank your adversary when possible. Protect your flank.
Don’t drop your guard.
Always tactical load and threat scan 360 degrees.
Watch their hands. Hands kill. (In God we trust. Everyone else, keep your hands where I can see them).
Decide to be aggressive ENOUGH, quickly ENOUGH.
The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get.
Be polite. Be professional. But have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one.
Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
Do not attend a gunfight with a handgun, the caliber of which does not start with a “4.”

Bill Ayers is a distinguished professor of education and senior scholar at the University of Illinois

Distinguished? Is it me, or does this Ayers article seem to be very poorly written?

I’m no William F Buckley, but I can appreciate good writing. Ayers seems to write at about an 8th grade level.

Well that’s a cute little slippery slope argument.

Here’s some people that did not lack the “essential capacity to question authority”, but didn’t have to boisterously commit acts of terrorism to get their point across:

Somehow I can’t see Obama making this guy any part of the government.

I can, howerver, see him as a frequent guest at the White House. If Obama wants to offend a large number of American by rubbing our faces in his association with Ayers, he will make that association public.

When Ayer’s talks about illegal wars, three fingers certainly point back.

Go back and look at the timelines of Ayers and Obama from New York to Chicago. Obama launched his campaign in Ayer’s living room. They live within shouting distance in Chicago. They served on boards together and handed out money together.

There is speculation that Ayers ghostwrote Dreams from my daddyo.

The Fort Dix and Brinks jobs were chump change if Grathwohl is telling the truth. The weathermen wanted a complete communist takeover and were contemplating the mass murder of 25 million or so who ‘could not be re-educated’.

Ayers has never recanted.

When Kara Mustapha had designs on Vienna in the 1680′s he sent a letter to the Vieneese stating that even if they surrendered he would kill them and their families in a bloody way. The vienese took him seriously. He almost succeeded until the Polish King, Jan III Sobieski charged into 30,000 Turks and Tatars with 3000 of his Husaria. The Duke of Lorraine and the other allies then swept through the turks along with the Polish light horse and infantry.

Mustapha was pretty direct in his warnings. You didn’t need to be a rocket scientist to know he meant what he said.

As I’ve said in another post here. I pray to God that the FBI has ayers so wired they can count the farts when he is on the porcelain throne.

But… they weren’t witches so… or something.

He will reap what he has sowed in this world and the next.

And his 15 minutes of fame are now up!

Send him back to obscurity, where he belongs!

Yeah. The M14 is issued to platoons, but parts are not available. If yours breaks, tough crap. That’s OK, he spent $500 on his scope and I suspect he sent many a terrorist scumbag to be with his 72 virgins.
