Admittedly, the bar was low: After his first two devotionals, anything short of a Gregorian chant this time would have been an improvement. Not only is this one bouncy, but the sanctification never sinks to anything more disturbing than that photoshop morph of The One and Lincoln.
Expect to see a lot of that in the years ahead, incidentally, as our very iconoclastic left sets about turning Obama into a secular saint.

There is nothing substantive about this man. He won by running off of this cult figure that he has become and now he has to govern as the man who moves mountains and oceans.
Slowly they’ll become less inspired by what he does and slowly they’ll lose interest. He can’t deliver the expectation that have been thrust on him, because nobody truly understands them. He ran with “Yes, We Can” but who really knows what that means? It’s something different to everyone. He found a way to win the first term, but the future will require action.
Plus, he is the man now. We’re the ones against the establishment of Washington. So he can’t run promising a new day in four years, or if he does it should be easy to refute. Of course, if we nominate Palin or Jindal it will be spun as being made possible by the Obama victory and if we don’t, it will be spun as the party of yesterday. The only question how far can card politics go after four years of unreached expectations.
The only definitive plans for the future are “unity” but everyone has different expectations for what he will do.

I honestly cannot fathom this Obamamania. Sure he is a gifted speaker, but he has no maningful accomplishments, his policies are short on specifics when he does talk about them, and most of the time it is just the empty words of “hope” and “change.” Good speaking skills are not enough to be president.

Don’t get mad at me guys but this video could have been worse. One small silver lining of all this is I’ve never seen blacks more patriotic that they are now. Of course it’s sad that it took a black President for them to become this way. For a few weeks after the 2000 election fiasco the blacks at the High School basketball games that I go to didn’t stand for the national anthem. That bothered me a lot so it’s good to see that they feel more vested in America now.

Something a lot of people are forgetting. When things go south they will say it isn’t Obamas fault. They will blame Bush, republicans, racism etc. They will blame everything and everyone, except Obama. Facts won’t matter, truth won’t matter. The left has been projecting their hatreds and fears onto the people for 40 years, and the people have bought into it. Democrats are stingier with their money, more prone to racism, quicker to shut down free discussion, more prone to restrict their opponants speach, etc etc. But which party gets the bad reputation? The repulicans. Most democrats won’t believe you if you told them that MLK was a republican. Most democrats refuse to look at history, and will not learn from it. They have been told that the only thing wrong with America are the republicans, and if they were to silence all of us then the world will be filled with peace and love.
Obama was what the democrats were looking for. In a way he is a messiah, for he has delivered the chosen people (democrats)to a new era where they can seize all the power. All they have to do is blame the republicans/conservatives and let their media deliver their message. The people will be too busy voting for “bread and circuses” to care.

I hear ya pambi, we need to abolish affirmative action right now! As a nation we have come to the pinnacle of race relations after having just elected a black man president, therefore the same old excuses by some minorities that it’s “the man keeping me down” (when they are now “the man”) is no longer a valid excuse!
The time for excuses is over and it is now time for some minorities to step up…I won’t hold my breath on that one especially since some of the minorities are already clamoring for their free gas, having their mortgage paid, etc.

Oh, it won’t be difficult for them to spin this as only one black man that got a fair shake, while millions of his brothers are still in virtually slavery. What this will do is increase calls for affirmative action from the one brother that has the power to do something.
