This one ranks up there with Whoopi Goldberg saying all the young black boys will now pull up their pants.
When these blowhards get so full of themselves to the point of aggravation, I remember that not too long ago many of them were saying, “how do you want that cooked”.

I am currently a member of the Fleet Reserve, being a Retired member of the US Navy.
I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution when I was inducted in, that oath is still in force.
The original intent of the Founding Fathers in the “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President” was to ENSURE that there were no divided loyalties in the President. At the time, there was no such thing as Dual Citizenship, it was not recognized by any countries, therefore the act of being born here, meant you were ONLY a US Citizen.
Obama had Kenyan citizenship, and may have had Indonesian citizenship. We have NOT seen any document pertaining to US citizenship, or even a vault copy of his birth certificate.
Until Obama proves to me that he is ONLY a US Citizen, and his loyalty is ONLY to the US (hard to prove when he campaigned for Odinga in Kenya), my Oath PREVENTS me from supporting him as President…
So, no, he is NOT my President.

Cult of personality indeed.
I am not – emphatically not – comparing Obama to Castro, Stalin, Mao et al but we see some of the same swooning and lack of critical judgment with Obama that many of the cultural left had when meeting these various dictators and thugs. They are blind in one eye, so to speak.

Hawaiian state officials recently confirmed that Obama had a valid birth certificate on file with their Bureau of Vital Statistics. That said, what was ultimately presented was of questionable authenticity. Given that he spent a part of his childhood living in another country, I should think it would serve his own interests to put all doubts to rest, rather than have constitutional scholars wrangle over this during his entire term of office.
Then again, I’m appealing to his sense of reason, which presumes….

Nice piece by Andrew Ferguson on Obama and unity (link).
One point:
See, Obama is for unity and transcending partisanship. So if you disagree with him or his policies, you’re going back to that tired old partisanship. This was Matthews’ implicit statement when he said that we need to make this a successful presidency.
And remember when the left said that Bush said you’re either for me or against me?
Neat trick there, President Obama. You’ve pulled it off.
For now.
SteveMG on November 8, 2008 at 10:34 PM
The problem for Obama is that his followers in the media and Hollywood have built up the expectations for his Presidency to such a high level in their own minds that eventually when they realise that the reality doesn’t live up to the hype they will turn on him so fast it will make your head spin.

One can only hope that he will find a way to moderate some of his extreme positions on foreign policy, and learn to defend our country.
Hillary Clinton was quite the hawk in the Senate–until she had to run for the Democrat nomination. I wonder whether Bill Clinton’s experience in office actually did inform her/prepare her for the challenges a president faces.
BryanS on November 8, 2008 at 10:37 PM
Actually the Hawaiian official just said that they had a Birth Certificate on record. That can mean a lot of things, including that Obama was in fact born in the state and is a natural born citizen.
The problem of course is that if this is true, then why the cat and mouse games, court cases, and internet rumours with nothing from Obama?
Why not just slap the BC on the table and put an end to it?
sharrukin on November 8, 2008 at 10:37 PM

I don’t think we will be calling the “elected one” our POTUS in this household. He is in way over his head and from his demeanor at Friday’s Press Conference it appears the reality of having to do more than vote present in his upcoming position might be just too much for him to handle. He will be proof positive of the Peter Principle the only fear I have is will this country be able to survive.

It’s like impossible to turn on the TV without some Obama propaganda message coming across. Try to catch some sports highlights or watch the game? Some announcer is referencing Obama. Flipping through the channels only to come across an hour long Obama orgy on Oprah. Come downstairs to get a snack and on the TV is some show on CNN with an Obamabot hailing a new era of caring with Obama.

I don’t get it.
Got my haircut today and my stylist who I have known for year was so happy about the election outcome.
I said he had a lot to do on Day One…Financial crisis, stock market meltdown, bail outs of everything…and her response was that HE will fix it all once he gets in office and we all have to pull together as a nation to support him and things will be better in 2 years…
When I asked what he was going to do exactly she said he was going to “change” the way things are done in DC.
But, how?

Sigh, please, try to READ what I wrote. Its always interesting to be called a retard by people who don’t even seem to comprehend the point.
Our founding fathers put that phrase into the Constitution to make SURE that Citizenship was not an issue. That there could never be divided loyalties in the one who is the Commander in Chief.
Obama WAS a Kenyan citizen, through his father. Obama MAY have been an Indonesian citizen through his step father. Obama by British Law is a BRITISH citizen (as Kenya was not yet a country when he was born, but a British possesion, and by British law retains that right unless he specificly gives it up).
Its my opinion that having a dual citizen President was not the intent of the writers of the Constitution. Obama refuses to give any paperwork prooving he is NOT a dual citizen, when in fact, he admitedly WAS, and may very well still be.

In a nutshell, incisively.
I’m reminded of an annual party weekend one of the frats at my college held – Sigma Nus they might’ve been – called “Return to the Womb.”
It was all in good fun, diapers and pacifiers and sorority girls jollily enlisted to cater the their every irrational demand, a silly act just for laughs (and reciprocated later by the same frat boys at a “princess” event as I recall).
But now it’s become reality on a national level. Grown adults desperately seeking a mommy in Obama. Unfortunately, like their real mommies, he’s bound to disappoint. What then?

When you look at the amount of votes Hussein won by, that number was easily made up by the number of fraudulent ACORN votes. Therefore, I will always believe the election was stolen.
I will always refer to this dufus as Hussein. Never President Obama.
I watched a movie tonight called “Radio Days”. It made me wish I could have been alive in America back during WW2. I know it was a dangerous time, but the country held together, sacrificed, fought, donated, and stayed strong. Kids spent their spare time gathering scrap metal for the troops. Adults took matters seriously, didn’t seem to be divided by parties, and everyone worked hard to contribute to society, and understood the enemy would take us over if we were divided.
I’m watching “Patton” now. G’night, all. (Wonder what General Patton would have to say about Obamanation.)

Obama’s birth certificate sealed by Hawaii governor,..she NEVER said”I reviewed his records and everything is ok!”
keep up with whats going on,..
“At this point, Supreme Court Justice David Souter’s Clerk informed Philip J. Berg, the lawyer who brought the case against Obama, that his petition for an injunction to stay the November 4th election was denied, but the Clerk also required the defendants to respond to the Writ of Certiorari (which requires the concurrence of four Justices) by December 1. At that time, Mr. Obama must present to the Court an authentic birth certificate, after which Mr. Berg will respond.”
If he had nothing to hide he would have (like all other Senators) coughed up a copy,he’s not fighting it for nothing, he waits until after the election knowing it could cause problem,..how classy.
