First thing since Tuesday that’s made me smile.

Dude, 2048. It’s happening.

Piper will have a bright future.
Disney day everyday when she is president!
Maybe she will have her own show on Disney channel in the next few years.
Since she likes the Jonas brothers so much, she might appear on their new show on Disney.
HA HA HA!

jencab on November 8, 2008 at 6:28 PM

Let’s get this girl an agent and pitch a show to the Disney channel. I’d love to see some sort of quirky Northern Exposure show about her life up in Alaska.

Illinidiva on November 8, 2008 at 7:59 PM

Preview of the Palin dynasty. Neat link, thanks for sharing it!

dinobalz on November 8, 2008 at 7:59 PM

I could get it to play only in Google’s Chrome browser.

What a cool kid, and to hear a former Veep nominee yelling “You have to get to school!” in the background was hilarious. :)

irishspy on November 8, 2008 at 8:01 PM

Palin 2012 “that would be awesome.”

And there’s our new bumper sticker.

irishspy on November 8, 2008 at 8:02 PM

That was so cute. Piper said she never heard of AeroSmith. Is easy to hear that. Sure hope Palin considers running for Pres. She would be fantastic.

sheebe on November 8, 2008 at 8:08 PM

Best part of my day! You’re awesome AP.

meltenn on November 8, 2008 at 8:10 PM

Piper has a attitude!

Agreed. The spit-do at the convention might have been the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, and my daughters are 5 and 2. So that’s a big compliment. :)

There was also a photo of Sarah running to hug Piper at the airport on her first visit back to Alaska after the RNC that I thought really showed the connection between those two.

Missy on November 8, 2008 at 8:32 PM

I love Piper. She looks the most like her mom too out of all the kids! Especially if you’ve seen younger photos of Sarah… It’s uncanny.

hockey2k5 on November 8, 2008 at 8:35 PM

On another site mentioned that my college-age kids were going out to property we own in the country to shoot clay birds. Got ta’ thinkin… they have a little ‘ole shotgun. Is der leader going to say they are anarcists? Especially if they put his picture on the clay birds?
I’m just askin.?????

Chewy the Lab on November 8, 2008 at 8:56 PM

Just curious — why is everyone saying ’48? Is Obama going to pass a law saying that no one younger than he is now can ever be elected president again?

Gina on November 8, 2008 at 9:09 PM

Piper for president in 2036!

I was waiting for someone to mention something along this line, or close.
Has anyone heard anything about a possible “o” directive to the BATFE to reclassify common ammo so that you’ll need a license to purchase?

jerrytbg on November 8, 2008 at 9:14 PM

jerrytbg on November 8, 2008 at 9:14 PM

No, but they want our guns. Possible.

allrsn on November 8, 2008 at 9:28 PM

jerrytbg on November 8, 2008 at 9:14 PM

I truly hope the “elected one” is not stupid enough to announce he will start misusing the BATF (an already out of control agency) in harassing law abiding gun owners by requiring a license to purchase ammo. Where I live in the middle of nowhere Idaho (a community loaded with retired military and veterans) it would be the final straw to push the local population into open revolt.

President PÜssy Boy will not be so bold. He knows that doing so would be the end of the Union. I listened for two hours today in rural Texas to gunfire. People using their 2nd Amendment rights. Obama is going to fall flat on his nose. Just wait.

let’s not, too many that age have been ruined by Hollywood. She should have a normal childhood not a life of fantasy. And no if her Mom had been the VP she would be well looked after but anytime anyone goes to Hollywood the left liberal mentality destroys, never uplifts.

Thanks carbon for the link to onenews.

Thankyou. Unfortunately, changing browsers doesn’t help though. Somebody else posted they had to reload their browser too after clicking the ‘Submit Comment’. It doesn’t sound like it’s an isolated problem.

that little girl is and absolute gem.
i will never forget her slicking trigs hair during the RNC.

I, for one, am going to watch this possibility very closely.
What prompted me ask….a friend I have who works in the judiciary, at the state level, said that it was in the works.
That was after I asked him why he was buying so many different weapons and thousands of rounds per ….
If I hear anything more I’ll post it.

jerrytbg on November 8, 2008 at 10:29 PM

Sorry about going off topic up above, but I also believe Piper Palin is one of the most adorable little girls I have seen in a while. She appeared to take very well to her role as an older sister taking care of her baby brother as well as here ability to maintain her composure with all the attention thrust upon her.

My boss is a big gun guy. He agrees that what Obama and the democratic congress will try to do is impose taxes upon guns and ammunition that will make it extremely expensive to use guns. Environmental lead levies, taxes on ammo that will make taxes on tobacco look minuscule.

carbon_footprint on November 8, 2008 at 10:46 PM

nwsseeker on November 8, 2008 at 10:03 PM

It depends on the ‘rents. The children who have been corrupted by Hollywood have stage parents who are more interested in $$ than keeping their children grounded. For instance, Billy Ray Cyrus using his daughter to jumpstart his own non-existent career. I couldn’t see the Palins doing that.

It obviously isn’t anything more than a pipe dream, but that little girl certainly has the aptitude for it.

Illinidiva on November 8, 2008 at 10:58 PM

The Piper cub is a cutie but I’ll still take the Mommy bear.

My new name for the big O: the big Zero. Or just call him The Zero for short. Pretty much sums him up.

carbon_footprint on November 8, 2008 at 10:46 PM

The way it was explained to me is that with a Presidential directive to the BATFE he could change the whole landscape….scary thought….I’m going to keep looking into it….btw, the friend….is not prone to hyperbole. In his job he has to be fair.. wink wink.

jerrytbg on November 8, 2008 at 11:10 PM

This is freaking adorable.

jimmy the notable on November 8, 2008 at 11:21 PM

The Piper cub

I like!

Gina on November 8, 2008 at 11:27 PM

Yes, but how does she wave?

lorien1973 on November 8, 2008 at 7:11 PM

Yep she does!

When I went to the Erie, PA rally she came downstairs with her parents to shake hands. Unfortunately didn’t come my way, I had a kickas$ present for her, a LeapFrog Tag pen, and an additional Disney Princess Tag book along with a stuffed animal monkey walkman FM Radio.

I email Sean Hannity and Palin’s office about this. Todd saw me but their staffer did not turn around and see me. I just hope that for Xmas she gets it; it is an educational tool, a really kewl toy and I felt she needed deserved attention that Trig has been getting. It was Oct. 30 so somewhat Halloween was screwed up because of the campaign.

Oh well, what can I do…so many suits and SS and aware of their own stuff.

Down Syndrome children, need a lot of attention. For stimulation. I can see how you thought that. But it is important to keep a special needs child with stimulation. That is cool that you bought her a gift. I am sure she gets attention, but being on the road like Sarah and her family were. That takes a lot out of a special needs child.

sheebe on November 8, 2008 at 11:52 PM

What a great family, all of them. Thanks for sharing that!

Fallen Sparrow on November 9, 2008 at 12:46 AM

WRT to Obama and gun laws. The ATF is already a pain in the way it attacks gun shops. Imagine what it could do with a complicit president.

davod on November 9, 2008 at 2:25 AM

But Barry won’t ‘take’ your guns. He’ll make you pay instead…

Synopsis: Maryland Ammo Tax

Authorizing a person to sell ammunition for a regulated firearm on or after January 1, 2009, only in accordance with the Act; requiring an ammunition manufacturer to encode ammunition for a regulated firearm in a specified way; requiring the Secretary of State Police beginning on January 1, 2009, to establish and maintain an encoded ammunition database; imposing a tax of 5 cents per round on the sale of encoded ammunition beginning on January 1, 2009; etc.

http://mlis.state.md.us/2008RS/billfile/HB0517.htm

At first glance what is .05cents? Big deal. Right?

How about that encoding part. Ammunition manufacturers CANNOT encode every sigle round without driving the cost through the roof. So what will Ammunition manufacturers do?
Not make ammo.

Who said the Democraps ain’t smart?

Limerick on November 9, 2008 at 2:45 AM

What is encoding? Making each round unique. Each with identifying information on the casing and the round.

Public safety issue….of course! The ATF can id the exact citizen who purchased that round that shot Jimmy on the corner of 2nd and Collins.

Nothing to worry about. It is all in the public interest!

How noble.

Limerick on November 9, 2008 at 2:50 AM

That was awesome. A breath of fresh air from hot air!

scalleywag on November 9, 2008 at 8:27 AM

Too bad I will either be very old or already dead in 2048. In fact, the race between Chelsea Clinton and George Prescott Bush, in 2028 or 2032, will probably kill me.
