Video: Obama on seances and talking to ex-presidents

Via Ben Smith, who’s surprised enough to note it, and Karol, who’s seeing red from outrage. Note to The One: The fastest route to post-partisanship emphatically does not lie through Nancy Reagan jokes. Especially when she’s recovering from a broken hip.

The man has some growing up to do. He’s not ready for that job. He’d marginally qualify for Mayor here in Baltimore. The public has short memories of the Clinton years I guess, but obviously about half of us voters still remember.

Our Constitutional system put him in there. We have to honor that. It might just be our system that gets him out too, once his true colors come out. So we sit and we wait. The world just has to behave itself until January, and then open the flood gates for all of the barbarians of the world to test this guy. Never forget, the people giveth though, and the people can take away.

Maybe Collin Powell getting his hands in there is good thing. He might be an ally in ousting this guy some day.

Between Biden and Barry this whole thing is going to be one verbal gaffe after another-and not in the amusing way.
fireweednectar-
I’m no therapist but between the President-elect sign, no family during his victory speech, and flipping off Mccain and Hillary, I’d say you’re spot on- the american people have elected someone with serious insecurity/anger issues.
God, I’m missing Hillary already lol

jjshaka on November 8, 2008 at 8:44 AM

What’s with all those white people behind him? Racism!

HarneyPeak on November 7, 2008 at 7:06 PM

I noticed in most photo opportunities throughout the campaign that Obama does not seem too inclusive. How come ! don’t hear any complains from the left? Is this going to be the case with the cabinets as well? Are minority leaders, and left blogosphere, going to demand that the the new White House be at leas 50/50? or are they going to roll over for Obama?

neuquenguy on November 8, 2008 at 8:58 AM

I’m glad to see that you’re all feeling so calm and rational after the election. I REALLY enjoyed kicking the GOP in the balls on Tuesday.
….
WestCoastLibtard on November 7, 2008 at 4:56 PM

Sounds like a drama queen is feeling a bit bored….

I’m sure you’ve been kicking people in the balls for years. Doesn’t seem like much of a claim to fame.

Nancy Reagean was an idiot and the most disliked person of the Reagan administration. Read Ed Rollins’ book Back Rooms and Bare Knuckles. He said she was the most feared person in the WH and made a perfect precursor to Hillary the Harlot of Babylon.

Note to Republicans:
Chill the f%$# out! We have a long rode ahead and I believe our success will be accelerated if we stop nitpicking everything he says. There will be legitimate things to combat in the future, save your ammo.

revolution on November 7, 2008 at 5:56 PM

Jenfidel,

Why would you mention GWB? He is the worst president Republicans have ever elected (yes, I voted for him twice and for PALIN/mccain).

Bush took the post 9-11 mandate and reduced it to pottage. The sooner I forget about him the better.

revolution on November 7, 2008 at 5:59 PM

You’re full of it. If you had supported President Bush at all, you would have noticed the constant smears and lies directed at him by the msm. Instead, you believed them.

Let’s face it: Obama was elected because enough people in this country believed President Bush was a failure. The reason they believe it is because that’s what the msm has been telling them for 8 years. The only real failure of the Bush administration was their constant attempt to compromise and live in peace with WestCoastLibtards and the like.

If you think Bush was the worst president ever, then enjoy the Obama presidency. You gave it to him.

theregoestheneighborhood on November 8, 2008 at 11:05 AM

Ah I see – you should just be happy that the right is willing to follow the example set by the Dems and their Code Pink pals.

Ah so you are admitting that all your high and might talk about the “office of the President” and respecting it, was in fact severe partisan hackery meant to protect a Republican President. Got it! Thanks! :)

DeathToMediaHacks on November 7, 2008 at 6:25 PM

Democrats always accuse you of whatever they’re actually guilty of. It’s called projection.

For the record, I don’t hope Obama fails. I’m afraid he will fail, and badly.

But I think the right has learned the lesson that you can’t be nice to vicious partisan hacks like yourself.

theregoestheneighborhood on November 8, 2008 at 11:11 AM

You’re full of it. If you had supported President Bush at all, you would have noticed the constant smears and lies directed at him by the msm. Instead, you believed them.

Some of those “smears” turned out to be true. Bush ignored the State Department’s advice on Iraq, and one “mission accomplished” sign later, he looked pretty foolish. But you could be right – it’s quite possible that Bush has the worst popularity figures in polling history because the “MSM” has a vendetta against conservatism, and all the conservative policies that Bush worked so hard to implement (getting rid of the budget deficit; reigning in pork; overturning roe v. wade, etc).

Democrats always accuse you of whatever they’re actually guilty of. It’s called projection.

Do Republicans ever do that too, or is it just Democrats!?

As a “real American” Independent, thinking “country first”, I will support our new President and hope he can fix the economy.

It is a huge challenge and if he can clean up this first w catastrophe, he is well on his way to being the best ever.

I call on all “real Americans” to think “country first” and support our new President.

getalife on November 8, 2008 at 12:41 PM

Did anyone else notice he did not call on any Fox reporter during the whole Press Conference? Is this a sign of things to come ??

golfer39 on November 8, 2008 at 1:59 PM

Australia: Obama could be the Reagan of our times

More likely the opposite. Reagan provided good government in the face of a hostile media.

Obama is likely provide wretched government, despite – and because of – the support of a fawining media.

Obama: Turd-Elect.

Just Democrats.

fossten on November 8, 2008 at 2:23 PM

Did anyone else notice yesterday that Obama’s face had broken out. He looked like a cross between a pomegranate and 16-year-old whose supply of Clearasil had run out.

Perhaps it was a national security briefing:

” so you’re uhm saying that, er that there is Al Qaeda in Iraq” ?

Basilsbest on November 8, 2008 at 2:30 PM

” so you’re uhm saying that, er that there is Al Qaeda in Iraq” ?

There wasn’t before Bush II invaded. Doh!

ptet on November 8, 2008 at 2:50 PM

All the more reason why the United States had a responsibility to drive them out, Dohhead.

Obama a student of Niehbur? I don’t think so.

Basilsbest on November 8, 2008 at 3:46 PM

I just won the Illinois lottery 666 ticket the day after election day (not kidding). Does anyone know a psychic I can pay to put a stomach-cramping diarrhea curse on Pelosi, Reid, and Obama?

marklmail on November 8, 2008 at 5:56 PM

His first ‘press conference’ (even though it was only the press of his liking) and he flubs it up. Just in this short clip he mentioned ‘uh’ about 6 times and ‘ah’ several more times then brought up the only living president he can remember and tried to make fun of a republican’s presidents wife.

Real genius at work here.

And yeah, he does look (and sound) totally out of his league.

This will be an interesting 4 years.

You don’t have much of an edjimication, do you? You might try reading a book, such as The War Within, for a better understanding of what’s occurred over the last 8 years. Since you must strongly believe that Dick ‘deficits don’t matter’ Cheney more than Greenspan or other economists, there’s no reason to point out the systematic economic problems that Bush has brought about.

bayam on November 8, 2008 at 8:31 PM

Basically, he realized he said something stupid and decided to say something else stupid.

er, fixed now.

RedbonePro on November 8, 2008 at 9:10 PM

someone should call security. Can you guys picture this antimilitary Marxist America hater giving an address to our troops?!!! What’s he going to say? You are the reason the “world community” has turned their backs against us?this guy should be pouring mint tea to the Taliban get out the sharia rally. If it were a stupid Saturday night live skit, it still would make me puke. I feel sorry for our military and I would rather get a courtmarshall than salute the enemy .

Yeah, how stupid of me. Al Quada wouldn’t have been in Iraq unless President Bush invaded; but they are so now we have to drive them out.

Can you guys picture this antimilitary Marxist America hater giving an address to our troops?!!!

texaninfidel on November 8, 2008 at 9:54 PM

I saw Shep Smith on Fox say that it’s possible to support our troops but be against the war in Iraq. Time to kick Shep out of the conservative club, yeah?

ptet on November 9, 2008 at 6:58 AM

His little sign on the podium has that “small boy jumping up and down saying ‘I’m boss now’ I’m boss now’” quality to it.
“The Office of the President Elect!”
All the fun of playing President for two months but no responsibility.

JellyToast on November 9, 2008 at 7:45 AM

ptet – punk. Fox has more libs than west Hollywood. The whole idea fox is conservative is a joke. Also, Iraq brought every jihadist into a us kill zone. Same way the Russians brought them to Afghanistan. Sure, out inarticulate president couldn’t explain that, but it’s better to put them in our sights somewher over there rather than here.

texaninfidel on November 9, 2008 at 8:41 AM
