Not to get too off topic, but what part of the state are you in? And, forget politics: Who do you want on board as coach at UT next year and what do you think of the way they treated Fulmer?

On topic: It sounds like McCain knocked some heads behind the scenes and that’s why we saw Wallace and Davis on TV on Friday. In my view they both offered less than full throated defenses like they should have. Even if they don’t like her, even if all this stuff is true (which I don’t think it is): you follow Reagan’s 11th Commandment at all times. Why on earth would aim your fire at, or offer less than full bore support for someone who could help rebuild the party?

I really don’t think his honor depends on coming out and defending against rumors and it’s a little silly for everyone to get purple faced making demands of the man.

You are absolutely and ignorantly wrong on this one. What this boils down to is the destruction of a great leader’s future career, and it IS his responsibility. If he ever had any real pretensions of being a leader and having the buck stop at his desk, it is always time to show that sort of character.

He needs to speak up and now, because this isn’t fun and games, my friend. This is the future.

Maybe Gov. Palin doesn’t know that Africa is a continent and not a country, she may not even know what the difference is but I bet she does know the United States of America is made up of only 50 states.

Back when Shamnesty was being voted on one of our Senators, Lamar Alexander, voter for the bill, I wrote the Senator and expressed my views. This election I wrote in Noone (sic) instead of voting for Alexander.

On a happy note, here in Tennessee for the first time since reconstruction, the GOP control the House and the Senate.

If you want to blame anyone for the poor Republican showing it should be current President. That was what the election was really about.

Who really cares if McCain is “innocent” or “guilty”? He already carried out a valuable job: demonstrating that a moderate Republican prez candidate is a looooooooser. Anyway, as has been pointed out, since Sarah is a Republican don’t expect a vigorous defense from McCain.

Maybe Governor Palin asked him not to. Just hear me out, I gave this a lot of thought.

If McCain was to come to the rescue, would that not be a indicator that Palin needs to be rescued? That she somehow can’t defend herself? The MSM is bashing her with ridiculous rumors right now. Why give the MSM something new to bash Palin with, such as not being strong enough to stand up for herself?

I think Governor Palin will be much better served if she handled this herself. An opportunity for her to show class, maturity, a thick skin, resolve, grit, and courage. To look the MSM in the eye and tell them what low class bums they are for airing such rumors in the first place.

I’m a Palin supporter, she’s got my vote on any national election she is a part of in the future. I’ve even already taken the time to send her a e-mail of thanks and support for what she did during this campaign and election. I look forward to her crushing this nonsense on her own with assitance from anyone. That would send the right message.

Defend herself sure, but only enough to point out how ridiculous the idea that she doesn’t know Africa is a continent is. Just say, “You know, I know I’m just a ‘hillbilly from Wasilla’ but I did actually go to college.” I hope she stays positive, praises McCain and the staff, and then takes Greta on a tour of ANWR and pushes that she wants to work on energy issues with Obama. I just think that makes her look like the better person in all of this.

Right on.

You can already tell that Sarah is back in governor of Alaska mode in stating she is ready to work with the new administration on energy issues because she knows that this is what Alaskans need and want, whether it is ANWR, natural gas pipeline work, etc.

My guess is she will settle back into the governorship and be a good gov and get re-elected.

I look forward to the Monday show with Greta, and yes, BOR is a p***k who cares ONLY about his f’in ratings.

What a bunch of lies, he won’t stand up now for Sarah (or himself) so how would he have had the Malkins to stand up to a Democratic Congress.

He would have rolled over faster than Paris Hilton.

John McCain is an honorable man. We don’t question that. In fact, we rely on it.

He is not acting with honor in this situation.
