Kept my snow shovel and put it on display as an antique ‘Poopy Scooper’at various garage sales and can not get any takers. Maybe, I should hold on to it so I can dig my way out of the effects of ‘Global Warming’.

I do remember it snowing on Halloween for us once here. I was maybe 7 at the time and dressed as a ballerina/fairy. Needless to say, it was really cold trick-or-treating. This year I was Saria from Ocarina of Time (my husband was Link and my daughter was Navi) and I was quite warm and comfortable, actually. :P

Wow, here in Virginia it’s 72 degrees right now. Gonna get cold this weekend though down in the 40′s at night. If predictions are correct though I may actually have to buy a winter coat this year. I had one once about 1984 or so. I’ll have to find my ice scraper too, in a couple of months. Rock Salt? You gonna make ice cream?

We had our first snow the 5th of October. Winter always comes “early” in Idaho Falls!
Looking forward to another heavy winter. Just like last year.

Lived in Idaho Falls in 1965/66. It was the coldest place I’ve ever been…or ever want to be. Most snow I’ve ever seen too. Loved living there though…it was a great place. Are the funny signs still on the highway out to NRTS? Like “Lava’s free so make your own soap.” or “Quiet, breeding reactors.”

How is Idaho? I’ve been trying to get my hubby to take a look. He’s in higher ed administration. Looked a jobs in Boise a couple of years ago, but wound up in SoCal.

You should move up here to Dallas. The August temps are the same but it’s a comparatively dry heat and the mosquitoes here don’t travel in squadrons.

I grew up in NW Minnesota, close to Fargo/Moorhead. I don’t miss the snow one bit. I’d take 70s everyday any day. But I understand the nostalgic of weather and Minnesotans. :-) I’ll have to send this picture to my mom, who finally moved to a warmer place.

Guess I’ll have to go back on my SAD medications for the duration of the winter.

Maybe I should invest in a tanning bed like Sarah.

I have no plans to run for higher office so what the heck?
