Dunno, I think I recall hearing something about…
pardoning Wayne Dumond (among others),
suggesting AIDS sufferers should be quarantined (early on in the controversy),
attending an outreach rally in Salt Lake aiming to convert Mormons (as many denominations do),
raising taxes (a few times, I think),
taking gifts (legally),
and a few other things here and there, many of them leaked on Drudge (who was in the tank for Romney) with pictures of a pre-diet Huck in striped shirt with large sons in equally embarrassing clothing.

Not to be contrary, but I think Huck was pretty thoroughly vetted.

And I voted for him, and would do so again. Huckabee rage was an ugly thing during the primary. He genuinuely appealed to a lot of people who could be brought to vote for Republicans for the first time ever.

As I listed above, there are plenty of negatives there and good reasons to be opposed to them. Instead, most of what I heard was what a hick and huckster he was and that he wanted to turn the party to Christian Socialism (this from the backers of a man who implemented universal healthcare in his state, bankrupting it in the process.)

Hicks make up a huge part of the GOP base, and Huck can appeal to them very well. I also think he had chances of outreach with female voters. All I heard from many (though not all) of Huckabee’s critics is that he represented too much focus on the social issues, though that is what drives the GOP base. Pro-lifers make up hopelessly lop-sided majorities of the GOP’s GOTV operations, and all the George Wills and Kathleen Parkers of the world want to do is jettison them, with no other strategy.

Go back and watch some Huck videos on YouTube and tell me he wouldn’t have better communicated the GOP platform than McLame.

Now, Can I get someone to chair the Hot Tar Committee? And we are going to need someone with access to a lot of feathers. Any ‘chicken farmers’ out there? (Preferably non-Tyson subsidiary, independent ones… I’m still boycotting Tyson)

Howsabout we start our own PAC… The RPC… The Republican Peasants Committee and start doing this?

This guy has more credentials than Obama to be president. First and foremost, not being an Alinskyite.

Seriously though, I want Gingrich in 2012 with Jindal as the running mate.

Give the man some money, organization and face/press time, and he could be a contender for national office.

However, he’s a little too religious for me, but I would still vote for him.

You will note that Zo acknowledged that Keyes’ weakness was his approach.

Their debates weren’t pretty. Check youtube when the question came up about gay marriage and they basically said the same thing, Keyes worked himself into a semantic tizzy. He missed an opportunity to exploit an issue that bugs the hell out of Obama supporters, but instead he was too busy trying to prove they didn’t agree on anything.

Don’t close your mouths for a minute fellow conservatives, ESPECIALLY when obama screws up. Then it’s time for artful “I told ya so’s” without sounding like you’re gloating, more like you’re inviting them to rethink the idiotic set of socialist, welfare wannabee ideals that put obama in the white house in the first place.

Somehow I don’t believe that a graying white male in his 40s like myself would have quite the same impact on the hiphop generation as a 20-something black dude. But thanks for the suggestion.

I hate to break this to you folks… but if you write a decent script (or have someone else write it for you) and memorize it, practice in front of the mirror, wear some diggity clothes, and use a bit of flair, you can be a Zo too.
