Video: Teacher instills a little bit of Hope and a whole lot of Change

All that, plus a lesson on the war’s senselessness aimed squarely at a kid whose dad’s in the service.

I’d call it a mid-day palate cleanser, but somehow I don’t feel cleansed. Click the image to watch.

Update: Tundra Tabloids had the story on Tuesday.

She should be fired immediately.

muyoso on November 6, 2008 at 3:21 PM

I think our beloved, soon-to-be former president put it best: “We must ask, is our children learning?”
Yes, but what are they learning exactly?
If having President Barack Obama does not bring our atheist friends to God, nothing will.

carbon_footprint on November 6, 2008 at 3:21 PM

And it has just begun..

twiggman on November 6, 2008 at 3:23 PM

If that worthless waste of ovaries tried that with my kid, she’d have one pissed papa in her face the next day.

I love how she said it was all right to support McCain, and then moaned and groaned every time a student said they did. Hypocritical whore.

MadisonConservative on November 6, 2008 at 3:23 PM

Wow, unfreaking believable !

DJ Rick on November 6, 2008 at 3:24 PM

Conservative agenda item: return education to local control. Abolish Dept. of Ed.
The NEA has failed the public schools and transformed our education system into a Liberal indoctrination institution. This I believe is the real reason for hostility toward free choice education.

DerKrieger on November 6, 2008 at 3:24 PM

This woman is not a teacher. I know teachers. This woman should not only be fired, but that little girl’s parents should take this video into a courtroom and sue the ever-loving sh!t out of the school, the city, the county, and the state.

Just a little taste of what’s in store for your capitalist children in Ayers’ reeducation camps ca. 2011.

gatorgirl on November 6, 2008 at 3:28 PM

Science H Logic that woman is just horrible. She should be fired, banned from schools, and not allowed within 100ft of another child.

gatorgirl on November 6, 2008 at 3:29 PM

Where does this CREATURE teach? I am sooo glad I work and sacrifice to send my kids to private school.
All concerned citizens should write a letter to her school, city, county, etc. Get her Butt out (it’s okay, cause Barak will take care of her anyway :))

beththebaker on November 6, 2008 at 3:29 PM

Anyone in Asheville, North Carolina, look up Diantha Harris. Let’s get the school’s info and start lighting them up about this.

MadisonConservative on November 6, 2008 at 3:29 PM

The lying she does at the end is a nice touch: “I don’t browbeat anyone”. Right.

I’ll throw in another vote for firing.

I love the whole “It’s OK to be for McCain” followed by an insulting remark every time it come up.

beththebaker on November 6, 2008 at 3:30 PM

If I were the principal of this school, I would have fired this idiot on the spot without the right to an appeal, then I would have contacted the school board to have her license to teach revoked!

I am so sick and tired of seeing this bullying intimidation on the part of moron instructors who suffer from the delusion that public schools are indoctrination centers.

This is the United States, not Communist China or Cuba!

Just askin’

kingsjester on November 6, 2008 at 3:30 PM

Just a little taste of what we can expect in schools. Remeber that William Ayers, Ward Churchill and other radicals have decided the best way to get the kids is to EDUCATE THEM.

afotia on November 6, 2008 at 3:30 PM

Between this and the prospect of delivering children in a government hospital…

It’s enough to consider getting sterilized.

gippergal1984 on November 6, 2008 at 3:30 PM

I had an elementary school teacher just like this in 1986. Althought I don’t recall us going on about Presidential politics at the time, she was very vocal about anyone who wasn’t a Democrat was a waste. She also used to call kids in her class retards.

Ahh, it was a different time.

This is why I became a social studies teacher…to balance out the nutcases like this empty headed moron.

I make the liberal students defend themselves with actual logic and that usually ends up quite amusing. I can make a point without ever saying a word. I like to keep my plans to raise a new generation of conservatives subtle.

What you didn’t see was Part II of this documentary where little Kathy’s daddy kicked teacher’s butt across the schoolyard with his size 13 booniestompers.

The Ugly American on November 6, 2008 at 3:42 PM

I ask my 1st grader everyday what she learned in school that day. Thus far, nothing to set me off, a little mild environmentalism through the gifted/talented program but nothing really off the charts.

More than that I work very hard to assert myself and my wife as her parents and not the education system.

Of course this woman should be fired but lets be real…she’s the only one stupid enough to be caught on tape. Don’t tell me the subtle, incidious indoctrination will be stopped my removing one person. Stand up and make it clear this is unwelcome but getting this clown fired isn’t going to go a long way to convincing the left that they are wrong.

And as an aside: I actually did not tell my 1st grader whom I support though I’m sure she’s smart enough to figure it out. That kind of garbage is unfit for small children for either side. Please God tell me we believe in a set of values and principles and not a party. THAT is what to teach your children, not blind alligence (like the left does) to a party or a cnadidate. God knows our party has failed us but the conservative ideology is still right.

Phoenician on November 6, 2008 at 3:43 PM

As a former teacher, I don’t need to see this crap. I know how bad it is.

I dealt with teachers who could put an untold number of Clinton/Gore stickers from the hallway ceiling during the campaign, spew any amount of Liberal filth to impressionable minds, but my actual life was in jeopardy had I made it known I was Republican.

I was lucky to escape with my life after teaching the slavery portion of the Constitution…

(It was an inner-city high school…it really paid to act like an insane bitch, which I did the entire year. Of course, the bitch part is all real.)
