It begins: Palin didn’t know Africa was a continent, claims Fox News

Via Ace, a tasty pile of shinola straight from the stovetop of disgruntled McCain staffers. It’s too cute by half, as is the detail about NAFTA; they might as well have tossed in a story about her having to guess who’s buried in Grant’s tomb. To believe it, you have to believe she figured out a way to become governor of Alaska while somehow lacking the mental power to piece together which three nations might be involved in the North American Free Trade Agreement. Diehard ‘Cuda-haters like Sullivan will, of course, be more than happy to oblige.
You’ll find another clip from Fox that aired earlier today below the Carl Cameron video. See if you can figure out the thematic link. Exit question: If she’s really this much of an abject imbecile, how did that detail manage to escape the attention of Newsweek? There’s no sign of it in their highlight reel of the dishiest dirt they learned about the campaign, a piece which actually includes a quote from another aide about “Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast” as if to prove that they’re not holding back on the ‘Cuda.
Update: The plot thickens.

Carl Cameron is a Worm. Sarah was down to earth. She was real and not devious. So what if she didn’t know about Africa. Like and President was brilliant? Bush had terrible English. Sarah would have made a great VP. I loved her. Seems like she was a scapegoat. Set up in this. This election was planned. It was bought and paid for from all. Seems like Fox was too. Shep Smith is a true A** hole too.

Your post was one of the best I have read on here. There is more to a candidate than her/his stand on abortion and whether or not they would be great to invite to your neighborhood BBQ. Someone will come out of the GOP but it won’t be until 2016, not 2012. Whoever comes out in 2012 will be a sacrificial lamb, aka Bob Dole or John McCain. Meanwhile the Dems will move to the center and the next star on the democratic side will be the governor of Montana as they solidify Montana, the Dakota, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and the midwest and the northeast. The GOP will continue to be the regional party of the south. But someone will emerge but not until the GOP rids itself of born agains like Palin/Huckabee and the like.

McCain thought he could win with the Beauty Queen, and kept her under lock and key. He became jealous when it was obvious most of the people who showed up to vote for him only bothered because of her, if they weren’t voting for The Real Democrat.
Now that he’s been humiliated (though it could have been worse) the behind-the-scenes power that never wanted him in office are training their sights on Gov. Palin. They’ll bring another loser in 2012, if they can. Maybe Romney or Huckabee. I hope they leave Jindal alone. It’s obvious the bought media that now owns our government wants a second Obama term.

Palin’s no “hack”.
I’ve had professors who could recite the Federalist Papers to you but who couldn’t run a lemonade stand. I’ve had bosses who couldn’t tell you who Shakespeare is but who could make a business run. I don’t have to have some ideal philosopher king/queen. Sarah Palin seems to be a fairly “competent” executive, is principled, and she appears to be grounded and have plenty of common sense. That’s enough for me.

A couple of stories from her travelling press (doing their last stories on her) about her getting on the plane back to Alaska mention a Louis Vuitton bag being loaded onto the plane. You just know she’s going to be accused of stealing it from the RNC. I can see the stories now. Of course, she was getting on the plane with 24 other people (her family and friends). But I’m sure it couldn’t be one of theirs, or one that she bought at that consignment shop in Anchorage that she likes. No, the story will be that she stole it. Hey, maybe she really did, you never know. Maybe all those missing clothes from the convention are hanging in her closet right now in Wasilla. Her parents snuck them out of St. Paul in Trig’s diaper bag no doubt. I guess if she shows up at the Wal-Mart in Wasilla in Jimmy Choos we’ll know that she’s really a corrupt politician like all the rest in Alaska.

It’s not up to the GOP to vet Obama, and do the work that the Dems failed to do, weren’t interested in doing and didn’t want the public to know about an empty suit community organizer up to his armpits in Chicago-style dirty politics.
Let’s just wait and see how the unvetted rookie performs in the role of POTUS. That’s all he is, a performer standing next to his best pal, the teleprompter. If I was Romney, I’d run as far away as I could from ANYONE who ran the McCain campaign—it was an abject FAILURE!!!!!
I love Sarah Palin and the reason the election was as close as it was is a testament TO Sarah Palin… Without her, McCain may have lost by 10 or 15 points….

I can’t imagine any state that Palin helped McCain win. Well maybe Alaska and possibly Missouri. McCain would have won all the southern states with Joe the Plumber on the ticket. If McCain had taken Romney he would have done better. You give Palin way to much credit.
McCain lost in a landslide with Palin on the ticket, how could he have done worse?
Monkei on November 5, 2008 at 10:59 PM
If Palin, Huckabee and Romney are our only options in 2012, then maybe we need to reform our party combine process. I don’t really care for Jindal either, I feel he is way too young still (in his 30’s).
If Palin, Huckabee or Romney gets GOP’s nomination for 2012, be prepared to say President Obama until 2016, barring some major calamity or a Carter-like performance. That’s my belief and I’m sticking to it.

I think it’s a necessity for a presidential candidate to have a strong sense of America’s history. If Palin really wants a chance in 2012, she better get briefed up on the basics. She’s a competent governor in Alaska because she appears to have a genuine in the issues that pertain to Alaska. I just haven’t seen that level of interest extending to a national level from her though.
When I say she’s a hack, I feel that she knows how to hit a few buttons from her electorate, but can’t really get much deeper than that. She’s a sloganeer with some good core values, but that’s about it.

Romney didn’t even come close to capturing the nomination, and he has no chance whatsoever of capturing the presidency. McCain did not lose in a landslide as Mondale did. The only factor that kept McCain’s losses respectable was Palin. You give McCain far too much credit. She is the one who packed in crowds at events, not he. Furthermore, speaking for myself only, I will never support another psuedo-republican again, EVER! If I even so much as suspect a candidate is blowing smoke up my *** on any issue at all, no vote from me, period, end of story. This BULL**** stops right here, right now.

If I were a candidate in 2012, I’d make sure I had a list of McCain staffers and nix them from being anywhere near my campaign. This snarky last minute titillation is atrociously malicious and scurrilous. Sarah Palin must be made of stern stuff and be highly talented indeed to elicit this much jealousy from the very small minded politically threatened people around her. Palin was gracious in defeat and also in the face of the horribly vicious attacks mounted against her during the campaign. She was tirelessly dedicated to supporting McCain, as was appropriate. Sarah is a better “man” than any of those snivelling weasels around her. I will always hold her in the highest esteem. She energized the campaign in ways Republicans never dreamed of. And so the political jealousy of classless underlings continues… Without Palin, Obama would have had himself a true landslide. I believe these accusations are pure, unadulterated balderdash.

I never thought that Bush’s victory in ‘04 was a mandate as he called it… Now, was Obama’s victory decisive—of course… Far from a landslide, and yes Obama will acquire some political capital with this win… If he thinks he can revert to his leftist style of politics with a 7% win—he will get buried in ‘12…. Now Reagan’s victory in the ‘84 election WAS a landslide—that was an absolute mandate and in that circumstance could get away with just about anything he wanted to….

It’s just amazing that that buffoon Joe Biden seemingly gets a pass for his perpetual state of idiocy!!!! The bad thing about the election is that Obama won… The good thing about the election is that Obama won and we here in Delaware will NO LONGER be saddled with that creepy old man “hair-plugs” as one of our US Senators…

Do you work with the Enquirer? Or are you kinky and get off on stuff like that? I don’t click on links that trolls put on here. And, I don’t read garbage about a real Lady, that I admire. That is a crap of lies.
Shouldn’t you be in bed by now?

Nice job on your first sentence. English is a difficult language, keep trying, sooner or later you’ll get it.
