It begins: Palin didn’t know Africa was a continent, claims Fox News

Via Ace, a tasty pile of shinola straight from the stovetop of disgruntled McCain staffers. It’s too cute by half, as is the detail about NAFTA; they might as well have tossed in a story about her having to guess who’s buried in Grant’s tomb. To believe it, you have to believe she figured out a way to become governor of Alaska while somehow lacking the mental power to piece together which three nations might be involved in the North American Free Trade Agreement. Diehard ‘Cuda-haters like Sullivan will, of course, be more than happy to oblige.
You’ll find another clip from Fox that aired earlier today below the Carl Cameron video. See if you can figure out the thematic link. Exit question: If she’s really this much of an abject imbecile, how did that detail manage to escape the attention of Newsweek? There’s no sign of it in their highlight reel of the dishiest dirt they learned about the campaign, a piece which actually includes a quote from another aide about “Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast” as if to prove that they’re not holding back on the ‘Cuda.
Update: The plot thickens.

Perhaps I’m cynical, but I believe this is the wages of opening registration the day before election day.

Greta’s PISSED about all of this, too! She’s had enough, and even calls FNC out for their coverage of it. See two videos here.

This is preciselywhy McCain lost the election. His staff ran a soft campaign against a ruthless oponent. And now they want to blame Palin? In four years McCain will be forgotten and Palin will be leading the party. I’m truely surprised these journalists can’t see that that’s where the story is.
davo on November 6, 2008 at 4:57 AM
Why is it that John McCain always seems to do a much better job going after those on his own side than he does the opposition?
I realize he didn’t start this, but he damned well better stand up and stop it.
capitalist piglet on November 6, 2008 at 5:00 AM
capitalist piglet:
I don’t think McCain did this, I think that people that work for him are pissed he lost and running their mouths. That and Fox is still the media, you know how those people operate.
McCain picked Palin, it does not help his image to call her stupid.
Terrye on November 6, 2008 at 5:27 AM
And didn’t McCain fire someone for doing something like this?
Terrye on November 6, 2008 at 5:28 AM
Fuzzy Logic – Obviously the campaign staff ran a perfect campaign, therefore it must be Palin’s fault. (But McCain chose Palin, she didn’t choose him)
They blew it, not Palin, but it looks like they won’t be learning anything from their mistakes.
Done That on November 6, 2008 at 6:01 AM
I don’t think you can blame this on the campaign, it is just the media running their mouths. They have been doing this crap to Bush for years.
Terrye on November 6, 2008 at 6:04 AM
“We have heard from People”….
First of all Shep is taking second hand heresay and trying to convert it to fact.
Keep in mind that when Palin was picked McCain was winning. IT WAS LEHMAN BROTHERS that killed McCain, not Palin.
Also, Let’s look at a comparison of Palin’s Knowledge compared with obama’s. What about some reviews of Joe “Twighlight zone ” Biden
One final thought… What is Cameron’s affiliation/orientation.. Does he have any incentive to trash palin?? Ideology?? Money?? Keeping his job??? Getting access to the obama administration??
With all the dirty tricks of the campaign, Acorn, trashing joe the plumber etc.. I can picture some phone calls to journs.. “Hey dig into these palin stories… you do a good job and we’ll get you a private interview with THE ONE’…
Someone had said elsewhere that Gov Palin should appoint herself to Ted Steven’s seat and get 4 years of washington experience under her belt before 2012.
By the way newspeople,. you might want to contact me. I heard from a friend of a cousin’s daughter’s boyfriend’s drinking buddy that Joe Biden didn’t know where New England was. He thought it was in Europe.. (I’d give that as much credibility as the bash-palin stories)

I take these attacks on Gov. Palin personally. We have all said that we loved cuda because she was most like us average citizens except she had actual executive experience compared to the rest of the candidates. So everyone is pretty much insulting us all by reporting some of the things they are saying. Remember, Palin WIL be the face of the republicans future and I am sure that she will end up enjoying the last laugh.

I heard from Some People that Shep Smith watches animal porn. They were shocked, and so was I! I just had to anonymously report this “news”.
Lehosh on November 6, 2008 at 6:53 AM
Palin comments:
“If they’re an unnamed source, then that says it all. I won’t comment on anybody’s gossip, or allegations that are based on anonymous sources. That’s kind of a small, evidently bitter type of person who would anonymously charge something foolish like that, that I perhaps didn’t know an answer to a question.”
SSF on November 6, 2008 at 6:54 AM
I don’t see why you should. She’s a politician, period.
Taking it personally puts you on the same level as the fanatical Obama supporters. As a governor of a state, she’s not an average citizen, even if she may have come from humbler means (but then you can say the same of Obama).
I’m not a fan of Palin for 2012, I think it would be a disaster for our party. The Republican Party will bleed even more secular professionals with her on the 2012 presidential ticket. While you might think that’s a good thing (party purity), I think it would be party suicide, because the evangelical base cannot win a natinal election on its own (and demographic realities will make this increasingly unlikely).
haner on November 6, 2008 at 7:08 AM
Which begs the question of what type of animal? Probably snails. Snails, most likely with Shep tittering gleefully in the background. After his abysmal,er, stuck on stupid, performance reporting of Hurricane Katrina I’ve figured Shep was probably the type of kid who would give his ant farm a regular shake just so he could hype yet another daily disaster in the journal he kept under his pillow. Poor journal. Poor ants.
Not sure from where mudslinging Carl Cameron arrived at FoxNews though Bill O’Reilly got his big media break with the seedy gossip program “A Current Affair.” Old habits can be hard to break.

You had better start taking this personally lest you spend the rest of your life under the heel of this jackboot state that has just been created.

Regardless of what specific knowledge she did or did not have, arguably she was never the most knowledgeable pick of the short list of contenders. I think her pick served a purpose, it was a bit of a Hail Mary, and it it wasn’t for the financial meltdown we might have a different president elect today.
But let’s all be honest and not pretend that Palin–as electrifying as she is and a future GOP leader, maybe… maybe–was some font of knowledge in national or international matters.
I think the bigger issue is that she seemed to fall in love with her own rising star and forgot who gave her this instant national platform for her diamond-in-the-rough political talent. I sense she was not so much grateful to McCain for plucking her out of relative political obscurity as she was resentful of whatever appropriate boundaries were rightfully placed on her as she was introduced to the country and the media.
redfoxbluestate on November 6, 2008 at 7:17 AM
Palin may not be some mega-genius that some in dreamland apparently are demanding that she be. However, if one looks at her state of Alaska and considers what she has accomplished for that state as governor compared to what most of the GOP leadership in Washington has done lately I’ll gladly take Sarah’s actual results in Alaska over any Beltway pols whom have delivered little more than critical expectations of outsiders during their often far too long careers in DC.
viking01 on November 6, 2008 at 7:33 AM
There is a ruling political class in this country, People, that includes those that we believe are on our side. They think they are annointed to rule us and are very protective of their position. The self annointed political elite includes the media and even most conservative talk radio. These reporters and talk show hosts act like they are one of us but would always rather dine with their liberal freinds then hang out with the Joe the Plumbers of the world (I hope others saw his treatment by all, including the conservative media, as condescending). When they target a public figure in such an obvious and unmistakeable manner, that should be notice to the rest of us to listen a little closer to that individual. They are attacking Palin because she is an outsider just as they attacked Romney because he was an outsider. Remember all the news stories about how other republicans hated Romney? Well those were the same people who ran the mccain campaign and the ones who told us mccain was the only one who had a chance in this election. They are even trying to link Romney to this foul attack in order to kill two birds with one stone. Many conservatives in this country only decided to vote for mccain after he picked Palin. The election would have really been a bloodbath if he had picked one of his cronies. The elite know that and see Palin as a threat to the status quo.

Fox used to be fair and balanced but if they are reporting this crap then they too have joined Chris Mathews and company. It was noticeable with O’Reilly buttering up Obama and maybe it’s wanting to be mainstream that they are abandoning good journalistic principles by reporting something so utterly ridiculous. For McCain, such an honorable man to surrond him self with aides that would leak such miserable stuff is very, very disappointing.

I have and I will again, give McCain and his camp the warning, and Fox news.

Like there are Mega-geniuses in the Demo party? Like WHO among us does not like NASCAR?
I seriously doubt that Sarah did not know that Africa was a continent. Now naming many of the countries there I could believe because many americans thought we invaded South America when we went into Grenada. And few people could name countries that belong in Africa except maybe Kenya, Egypt, Somalia and maybe the Congo if they had rented that movie lately.

Oh..and one more place. If this is what is going to continue I am absolutely done with the Republican party. I can live with never winning a thing with the independents, but I refuse to continue with a party that insists on killing the best of itself. The RNC just made my hit parade and I am asking others to join me.
It is time we start telling them, in the clearest terms possible, that they had better not do this.

Good Riddance, let the storm pass over and then we can evaluate her future.
Palinpuma on November 6, 2008 at 7:52 AM
I’m going to make a motion at our next republican club that we draft and send a letter of thanks and support to Gov Palin carbon Copying the county, state and national republican committees.
Let’s see if the folks there have the cojones to do that.
The RNC should be attacking obama.. not trying to gang-rape Palin. More and more I thing the tag of “The STOOOPID PARTY” fits. They would rather lose the whitehouse and congress than support a reformer that just might end THEIR hands in the cookie jar.
McCain would have won with Palin except for Lehman Bros. The RNC ought to send their lawyers to investigat how THAT happened
bullseye on November 6, 2008 at 7:57 AM
Do you know anything about how government is actually run? Her incredible lack of basic knowledge suggests that perhaps she doesn’t deserve much credit for the small things that happened in Alaska during her short term as governor there.

Palin’s rant on jouralism sounds like a word by word expression of Vladimir Putin’s views on “managing” the media. If only Sarah were in charge, she could keep those journalists under control and stop Couric from asking those “unfair” questions that expose her ignorance.
bayam on November 6, 2008 at 8:01 AM
South Africa is the country, Africa the continent. I believe the discussion was garbled over this.
Team McCain is trying to blame Palin for their loss….
She’ll be back on her terms with her team and she will win the Presidency when she wants to.

The Republican camp is up to business as always. They have not learned their lesson, and continue to do business for sycophantic followers like Bayam.
I am done with them. They have not learned their lesson yet. I will be one of the number gone, hoping someday they learn.

Saltysam on November 6, 2008 at 8:15 AM
John McCain is the weakest republican candidate since Ford. His staff was the weakest, short-sighted since Dewey. His campaign was the most frenetic, unfocused in history. These things combined with an ignorant electorate, an opponent with a shallow, simple message, and a complicit (all we need is love) press you have a mess that will take the country decades to mend.
McCain – go back to the Senate. If you continue to reach across the aisle, you’ll be as effective there as you were on the campaign trail. Oh yea, McCain-Fiengold how did that work out for you?
Red Bennet on November 6, 2008 at 8:17 AM
Palin isn’t a Senator.
Saltysam on November 6, 2008 at 8:18 AM
Why do conservatives have to “eat their own” just to prove they’re open-minded? What’s to be gained from this cr*p now? Looks like Fox wants to get in line with the other “crimal liberal media” types. Wouldn’t want to be ostrasized too much. Get a clue FOXNEWS – the liberals hate you; they wont watch you, they wont invite you to cocktail parties, and they wont treat you as intellectual equals, no matter how many conservatives you throw under the bus! Pitiful. Looks like one more channel I have to block on my remote. My cable watching’s getting pretty thin. Think I’ll cancel part of my bundled service. “sigh…”
rightjoyce on November 6, 2008 at 8:20 AM
Astroturfer, The media treated Gov Palin so unfairly that you would have to be a dunce not to notice.
They reported that she cut spending for children with special needs in alaska when she didn’t
They reported that she made women pay for rape kits when the matter was never brought up to her.
They took her comments out of context in the gibson interview by suggesting that she wanted to go to war with Russia.
They took her comments on ABC out of context by suggesting that she wanted to run for office in 2012.
They mocked her religion and made up wild theories suggesting that trig wasn’t her son.
They slimmed her pipeline deal by suggesting that she broker the deal with some of her campaign supporters. Which was later corrected by her local newspaper.
They slammed her for taking her children with her on business trips… What they failed to mention was that she sold the state’s plane and saved tax payers huge amounts of money by flying coach.
They falsely accused Palin of being a member of the Alaska Independence party. ( Obama was a member of the socialist new party but I never saw that mention)
So much other crap I can mention but it isn’t worth it… The media failed big time this year and anyone who has a clue knows it.

BO’s lust for community organizing, ACORN, sub-prime lending, FM-FM….and the markets have collapsed right in his President-elect lap! Sweet irony and justice! Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy….
I do believe we will see a conversion like none other:
A Marxist to a free-market capitalist in Barack Obama out of necessity as he has no other resources. By the way all you 40% who don’t pay federal income taxes, don’t hold your breath for your $500 check. He also seems to like John McCain very much in general and the senator is his pet project. I noticed this before the stories in question here came to light.
Goodeye_Closed on November 6, 2008 at 8:49 AM
I’m surprised that the VP rollout went as badly as it appears given that McCain wrapped up the nomination so early. He could have spent the months between the Florida primary and the convention campaigning with Palin, Pawlenty and others on the short list to get to know them and begin to prepare each of them.
It seems like Palin had maybe a week to go from a standing start to being the most focused on politician in the world.

She is obviously clever and enterprising, or she never would have gotten where she is. But ask yourself if this were true, would you all still support her?
johnnynucleo on November 6, 2008 at 8:56 AM
I’m disgusted that an “anonymous” source was given credibility by Carl Cameron, OReilly, Fox News, etc.
Again, the democrats prove to be the smarter party. They stick together no matter what. As a republican it hurts to admit that. The party I agree with on issues, but am embarrassed by in their lack of bringing the party together.
durhamite on November 6, 2008 at 8:57 AM
Having slept on all of this (and man was I angry last night), we should use Governor Palin’s grace throughout all of this as an example. Liberals want us to tear each other apart. I am certain that there are factions within the conservative movement that want us to tear ourselves apart so that they can maintain their stranglehold on the movement. We need to look at what went wrong: getting off message for nearly a decade, fielding folks to bathe in pork, and not embracing our freedoms or recognizing that the Bill of Rights limits government by offering us protections from government and not mandates. Now is the time to be a phoenix.
Kamikaze on November 6, 2008 at 8:58 AM

Egad! These threads grow like tapeworms. How do you people find time to read through them?
I saw the Fox News hit piece on Gov. Palin last night, and O’Reilly’s follow-up. During the campaign, Carl Cameron did an excellent job, I thought, covering McCain’s ups and downs. So I’m led to wonder, what led to this almost gleeful piece of tabloid journalism based on anonymous sources?
I think Carl Cameron, and Fox News, along with O’Reilly, owe Gov. Palin an apology, and one to the American public, too.
MrLynn on November 6, 2008 at 9:07 AM
Good point but you have to start from the assumption that Palin was not on the short list of VP candidates. My guess is she didn’t become a serious candidate until Obama bypassed Hillary and chose Biden. McCain saw an opportunity to tap into angst over Obama’s apparent slight of Hillary supporters.
BardMan on November 6, 2008 at 9:14 AM

To quote Charlie Brown, “Good grief”. Is this what we have come to? To be honest, I love and admire Sarah Palin. Great woman, classy, graceful, and I refuse to watch this clips (”anonymous source” is sure reliable).
This election has proven to me that Fox News is not what I thought it was. Fair and balance, eh? How many times did Carl Cameron make it a point to feature an irrelevant McCain gaffe? And he always did it with a smirk. Oy …

How many Africans know that Africa’s a continent??
fivefeetoffury on November 6, 2008 at 9:26 AM
That’s right. Of all the tactics Republicans could’ve learned from the Democrats, did it have to be “always blame someone else”?
Palin is not stupid or ignorant. She was a great choice. She re-energized the McCain campaign, and it would not have been nearly as close as it was if she had not been chosen. Was it a calculated risk? Of course, that’s what campaigns are.
So now we have a bunch of bitter staffers ingratiating themselves to the very media people who opposed their candidate, all so they can pout about how their vast stores of wisdom were heedlessly thrown aside so they could be shackled of some dimwitted chillbilly governor of a state that doesn’t even qualify as a fly-over.
I give these anecdotes the same weight as the credulous and dishonest dopes who gleefully passed around the nonsense about Palin and the friendly dinosaurs. It’s unprofessional, counterproductive, and plain stupid. I don’t want those sorts of people working in any Republican campaign ever again.
These are simply disgruntled former employees. And anyone who’s ever conducted a job interview knows exactly what that means, and how seriously we should take their little backstabbing tantrums.

As a group we should make it clear to the RNC that Sarah is the 2012 candidate. Then start the press on every blink Obama makes, every little flinch, every word he utters. Tear him down and build her up. Tell everyone you know about how bad he did and how great she would have done if only. I started on it last night with my son (Typical dumbbutt university lemming)- he already has buyer’s remorse. Couldn’t talk about politics before the election but called home to gloat. Got a dose of medicine and now he sees that he wasn’t so smart after all. I voted for Sarah in spite of her running mate. I would vote for her for any office she wanted to serve in. She has what most of the PhD’s in the world and Ivy Leaguers do not have – common sense and a connection to the real people. She has now been through the gauntlet of a national campaign and knows what it is about. Let’s support her and push back hard on the detractors.

Skipper50 on November 6, 2008 at 9:31 AM
Duramite, I’m not sure I agree with your premise. I think Fox News had to have a pretty high level of confidence to go with this story given how incendiary it has become. I’ve admired Palin’s political acumen and celebrity appeal, but have harbored doubts about the substance necessary to be VP or President. Looking back, there may well have been tension between McCain and Palin. Maybe it was attributable to their ideological differences, or maybe it was McCain’s regret in not taking a longer look at Palin’s .
johnnynucleo on November 6, 2008 at 9:32 AM
Forgive me if this was already mentioned, but Sarah Palin WANTED to go on O’Reilly’s show, the McCain staff put a stop to it. This doesn’t take a genius to figure out, you’ve got McCain squelching passion all the time, the latest in his “surrender” speech. I am amazed that people call it kind heartened and magnanimous… BS!…. He surrendered. It wll be the Palins of our party who will take over and win. We’re not looking for another Reagan, just a person who believes in what Reagan did and a lot of us do.
MNDavenotPC on November 6, 2008 at 9:33 AM
If you read my post more carefully, you would not that I said “seemed” and “I sense”–indicating that this is my opinion which, last I checked, I have a Constitutional right to express.
So I’m not presenting this as “any great truth” and yes, it is me talking (who else), so just calm down, will ya?
redfoxbluestate on November 6, 2008 at 9:34 AM
Once again, you’d think retards would have the sense to realize that, maybe, just maybe, her opponents in the Republican primaries would have brought it up if it were even remotly true.
So, lets see, after the election is over, the criticisms of Gov. Palin fall into the following.
Palin is supposedly a(n):
Diva
Emotionally unstable
Airhead
Shopaholic
Skank
Racism may be all-but-dead, but SEXISM apparently isn’t.
Techie on November 6, 2008 at 9:36 AM
I thought Carl Cameron sounded like a /common/, pi$$y little girl last night. I would say there is a strong recall for his mancard today, but I actually think that’s been over and out for a long time now.
I don’t believe a word of it and for O’Reilly to entertain “some say” and “unnamed sources” for a single second puts him and his pompous, bloviated show in the OVER AND OUT column for me, as well.
Gov. Sarah Palin is the single, solitary reason my household could vote for McCain without throwing up in the voting booth.

This is precisely why they’re going after Sarah. She’s a future threat. A truly populist real reformer.
PaddyJ on November 6, 2008 at 9:41 AM
I’m all in for Sarah Palin! This woman provided a much needed breath of fresh air during a time when I was trying my best to stomach John McCain and the worst run campaign I have ever witnessed in my lifetime.
Those who blame Sarah for this defeat are too stupid for words, and will lose the respect of the Conservative base.

Just John Mccain reaching across the isle to halp the future of the Republican party
By the way John, Hows’ that bi-partisan campaign finance reform workin out for ya? The Bi part of bi-partisan just handed you your ass and it seems the ineptitudes of your campaign is trying to pin it on the future of the Republican party.
John go back to the Senate with your buddies and STFU. Tell your aids to do the same!

I might add that there is way too much elitism within our ranks; people who only view others with the correct degree from the acceptable list of colleges as worthy of their support.
Asswipes!

Carl Cameron is to blame for passing along rumor as news.
Carl Cameron himself has not spoken directly with the so-called insider sources. If he had, he would have confirmed the rumors to be lies when researching who said what to whom only to find that it was all nasty backstabbing from Bushites and CBS/MSM saboteurs. Cameron’s habit is to merely regurgitate nasty whole cloth, just as he along with Jonathan Martin fabricated against Fred Thompson in the primaries.
Fox News is pathetic. “Please, Lord Obama! Please accept our stories as proof of our conversion to your Oneness!”
I agree with Ace’s analysis. Good riddance to bad rubbish, McCain Ohne Schwerpunkt!!! All those nasty saboteurs of the conservative movement are flushing themselves down the sewer to join the septic Obamanation.
There is no honor in congratulating corruption and fraud.

Rush Limbaugh is going to “name the names” of the people who must be purged…
I can’t wait to see how many people on my list make the Limbaugh list!
Keemo on November 6, 2008 at 9:52 AM
First i have heard of this, but not surprising. She is the Republican scapegoat for the McCain campaign inadequecies.
If the blame game is to be played, then those who nominated her, vetted her or didn’t, should be to blame.
I think since Gov. Palin has had a taste of the campaign trail, i hope and expect to see more of her when opportunity arises.
Orion Prime on November 6, 2008 at 9:55 AM
Exactly Paddy,
They are trying to abort her in her infancy.
The only time they may have a chance though I doubt it.
I believe that Sarah may have been a little off kilter for a moment after being chosen to run by McCain, but her shock wore off quickly.
Stupid questions dont fluster her, as above indicates, and she doesnt give stupid answers unlike others if the journalists ) bothered to look.
She went on to speak of her loyalty to McCain and support.
Now that the election is over she has four years to come up to speed on many things.
I like her because shes is most like the America I envision.
A nice family, active in their tasks, independent, modest background, and many others.
I dont believe that she would be a big gov pol and that is good enough for me.
Time will tell, but judging by the immediate attention she is getting to marginalize her I would not expect it to be to the lefts liking.
Now is the time to purge the ranks of rinos and rebuild with true conservatives.
They will be begging for it in 2010.
Sonosam on November 6, 2008 at 10:04 AM
McCain will get the axe, having proven himself to be at best a DUD extraordinaire to any Republican effort. Hayworth should run for McCain’s senate seat this coming election cycle.
Meanwhile, Obama will appoint McCain to some position, perhaps even Sec.State (barf) claiming McCain’s foreign experience. Face it, McCain would have been a better commander in chief than Obama. But otherwise, McCain is convoluted as can be on every position, and is NOT a “conservative”.
America supports the conservative movement to counter the radical left. The Republican membership want the leadership purged of “compassionate” saboteurs from Bush, progressive RINOs and self-serving elitists. Secure American founders’ first principles today, the heritage legacy for posterity, and secure the urtext of our Constitution. THAT secures rule of law which enforces Constitutional obligations which the progressive leftists circumvent and dissolve.

And then there’s Bill O’Reilly. His show has turned into a 60-minute informercial entitled “it’s all about me” The following drives me crazy and it’s getting old.
1) The Book
2) The Book Quiz (oh,Dear God – what is that!)
3) The beef about the NY Times not putting his book at #1. (thank you, Bill. I’ll sleep better knowing your publisher is going to set them straight)
4) Your personal loss with Merrill Lynch. (we don’t care)
5) The ego-stroking he needed after he made a fool of himself during the Barney Frank interview (I lost count of the guests he had on to tell him he was right)
6) The body language girl (ever noticed how many times she comes on to analyze his interviews on other shows)
7) “I’ll give you the last word”. (has never happened, he can’t help himself)
8) Bill O’Reilly/Super Cop. How many times do I have to suffer through another segment when you tell the world that you and only you are going to right every wrong in the world. Please stop pointing your finger at the camera and telling all the evil-doers that you are going to track them down.
9) “They made a mistake by not coming on the Factor”. And those that don’t kneel and kiss your ring get the shaft. i.e. Sarah Palin.
10) and my personal favorite “Factor Gear”. Who do you think you are? Billy Mays?

Appears to be the first strike by the liberal wing of the GOP in an attempt to knock her down from a possible run in 2012.
Patently disgusting.
PJ Emeritus on November 6, 2008 at 10:08 AM
She may have started out a little rough with the MSM e.g., Gibson and Couric (thanks Senor McCain and handlers), but she only got better and finished strong including showing stronger campaign and political instincts than McCain and his bunch. As they say, it’s not how you start, but how you finish. Maybe would should organize our own Gang of 14 Million to counter what they are trying to do to her!
tims472 on November 6, 2008 at 10:11 AM
Oh, I don’t know; I think they succeeded in their mission magnificently. They got exactly what they set out to get. Obama as POTUS. F*** em!
I’m down to what, 3 people I will actually watch? Cavuto, Glenn Beck (when he starts on Fox) and Greta, who I never really watched much before, (I’m just not into the crime stuff) but after her indignation with this attack on Sarah, I’m going to. I might watch Sean Hannity on his Hannity’s America, but I DESPISE Alan Colmes!
Sean torqued me off earlier in the campaign with his fawning over Rudy and telling me I needed to overlook his pro-abortion stance. Um, NO! I don’t. Then, his constant, Obama is a great guy, but…crap for so long, though he got over that pretty quick and worked hard to defeat Obama. So I think I’ve forgiven him. Anyway…
Between the failed media and boycotting pretty much every actor in Hollywood, I almost never turn my TV on. I need to stop paying Comcast a fortune for cable. If not for sports and foodTV (though I’m boycotting some of them, too; Paula Deen fawning over Michelle O, UGH!!), I probably would.

And I thought this would all be over when the Messiah moved into the White House. Why hell, we’re just gettin’ started.

Palin earned the respect of conservatives as our Lady Liberty.
Palin measured up to what we saw in her: INTEGRITY!
Those who abuse integrity gloat as heathens.
Palin was the pebble in David’s slingshot slung into Goliath’s skull, taking down the giant. John McCain, the war hero, failed to decapitate the uncircumcised Philistine. He won’t bear his own cross, either, shifting it on us to bear for him. Cowardice. I’m not carrying the burdensome stench of pointlessness that John McCain exudes.
I’m with Palin. McCain had better ask her forgiveness for all the abuse HE put her through on his own account. That would be presidential, taking responsibility for his campaign.
Thank you, Sarah Palin, for all the good that you accomplished for the conservative movement throughout America and perhaps the world. Thank you, Governor Palin, for surviving with integrity the rigors of savagery from the American media. May God bless you in his hands.

Most of us held our nose, and voted. We spent months trumpeting him, and that is why we are so mellow in the loss.
It is almost a relief that it is over, and we can start repairing our party.
