Video: Palin votes in Wasilla

Another mid-day motivator for our swing-staters. Three points of note. First, her reaction halfway through to the new Troopergate report: “I tell you, you didn’t believe us. We told you that we had done nothing wrong!” Second, the extent to which she ignores her aides’ attempts to shoo reporters away. After two months of them trying to hush her up, she wants to chat, and chat she shall. And finally, her refusal to say who she voted for. Has the ‘Cuda caught a little Hopenchange fee-vah? (No.)

If the fates are unkind tonight, we’ve got maybe three more weeks of seeing her on TV — postmortem interviews here and there, plus the inevitable Barbara Walters sitdown — and then she’s gone, into the Alaskan ether until 2012. Heart-ache.

If anything Sarah Palin shows that the future is bright for our party

William Amos on November 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM

2012 is too long to wait. Bring Sarah to Washington now!

manwithblackhat on November 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM

2012?

I figure no matter what happens today, the campaign for 2012 will start maybe November 7.

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 4, 2008 at 2:02 PM

Sarah Palin. Michael Steele.

The GOP is building a great force for our party. Now, they need to drop the hammer, and hard!!!

She’s too hot to just fade away. Look at her.

Baphomet on November 4, 2008 at 2:03 PM

Does Todd adore her or what?

Go, Sarah, go!

For all us middle-aged and old ladies who have know what the REAL struggles in true feminism were, and are thankful for how far we’ve come and what we can hand down to our daughters and granddaughters – thank you for showing how it’s REALLY done.

Mommynator on November 4, 2008 at 2:04 PM

When you’re in Wasilla, it’s chill, baby, chilla.

When you see oil, it’s drill, baby, drilla!

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 4, 2008 at 2:04 PM

This woman has a pair. I couldn’t of dealt with the pressure she had to deal with….

Props to Sarah.

A cool chick.

mylegsareswollen on November 4, 2008 at 2:04 PM

Has the ‘Cuda caught a little Hopenchange fee-vah? (No.)

Reinforcing the sanctity of the secret ballot. Not everyone has to spill her guts to the crowd.

How ’bout them threads? I say she’s the Michael Jordan of American politics. Dream about her, Democrats.

BuckeyeSam on November 4, 2008 at 2:04 PM

AP… hey, remember when the good guys win?

no?

well tonight is a reminder for you to stop sucking lemons.

Only 1463 days until the election of President ‘Cuda.

aunursa on November 4, 2008 at 2:05 PM

I’m betting no terrorists or fire-breathing, race-hustling AmeriKKKa-haters were voting at her precinct….

MrScribbler on November 4, 2008 at 2:06 PM

Sarah is supposedly going to be at the Peanut Farm tonight for the Election Party. AWESOME! I will be there… maybe I will get a photo with her.

upinak on November 4, 2008 at 2:06 PM

Vice President-elect Sarah Palin.

God that sounds good. PLEASE!!!

Abby Adams on November 4, 2008 at 2:06 PM

Four more years please. Four years of seeing Obama proudly posing and angrily glaring is going to be like dental surgery without anesthesia.

econavenger on November 4, 2008 at 2:06 PM

Thank you Sarah for your effort in this election. You and your family are jewells. My husband and myself did our part to make you our V.P. God bless you and your family.
P.S. You all are going to win.

Allah in your dreams. If you think Gov Palin is gone in three weeks you are dreaming. Gov Palin will be a force for the next 2 years if Obama wins tonight. She will be in Iowa come 2010. and from nov 5th 2008 till nov 4th 2010 she will be out urging a rep takeover of congress.

No she’s headed to Arizona

CanadianGuy on November 4, 2008 at 2:07 PM

You have to figure she’s got a cut-off time (even in a GulfStream) if she’s going to make it to Phoenix for any late-night celebration. As long as she’s in Alaska it means McCain’s internals don’t look good. I doubt she’ll be able to sneak away this time…

sanguine4 on November 4, 2008 at 2:08 PM

It’s funny how she blows off her handlers. There’s never to much ‘Cuda’ on my screen.

Smooth Rooster on November 4, 2008 at 2:08 PM

We are going to win today! We are going to win today!
Repeat after me -
We are going to win today!
We are going to win today!
We are going to win today!
So, stop being namby-pambies.

Sporty1946 on November 4, 2008 at 2:08 PM

I would walk a mile over broken glass to vote for that woman. She is AMAZING. Regardless of what happens tonight, she is a shoe-in for 2012. I’ve never felt this way about a national candidate ever, not even for Reagan in 1980 and 1984.

Put a sock in it, Eeyore. You are looking at the first woman vice-president of the United States: Sarah Louise Palin. End of discussion.

ManlyRash on November 4, 2008 at 2:10 PM

President ‘Cuda has such a nice ring to it. Man, I’d love to see her go to DC and clean up that town. Palin/Jindal 2012???

ManlyRash on November 4, 2008 at 2:11 PM

I see one major problem for a 2012 POTUS Cuda.

Obama will provoke some major international crisis in the near future, after that America will require candidates like McCain for their POTUS….that or we will submit I suppose

jp on November 4, 2008 at 2:11 PM

If Obama wins, here’s my mantra.

It took Jimmy Carter to give us Reagan, it’ll take Barack Obama to give us Palin.

And I don’t understand why Allahpundit deems her to be gone until 2012. Did John Kerry disappear after ‘04? Or John Edwards? She’ll be a prominent Governor, who, if she wants, could make regular appearances on the mainstream media carrying the conservative message.

Dave From Canada on November 4, 2008 at 2:11 PM

I am sick of the negativity AP. At least be positive today =P If it doesn’t turn out well then do the whole doom and gloom thing tomorrow.

Anyways check this out — one of my friends made a site where you can “Write an encouraging message, a word of righteous outrage, a greeting, a word of thanks. Tell Sarah and the Palin family you back them 100%…”

Sarah unleashed…at her best.

right2bright on November 4, 2008 at 2:15 PM

Thank you, Governor. You have shown to have grace and class, something so seriously lacking nowadays in our discourse.

If you return to Alaska, many will say that you will be back. My gut instincts say that you will not. Who wants to deal with a national pack of wolves? (The MSM, the Left, University PC, Democrats) If you decide not to run again for governor, for the sake of your family and sanity, I don’t blame you one bit.

The actions performed against you in the past two months have been nothing short of abominable. I, a graduated of a liberal arts women’s college in the Northeast, used to think that women who make it their own way would be praised everywhere. You have proven to me that I was seriously wrong about it.

Liberals don’t like women who stand on their own two feet and who can think independently of them. They say you’re not a woman because you’re a Republican. I say, you’re one hundred times more woman than the b!%@&$ who ripped you to shreds in the MSM and everywhere else. (Yeah, Andrew Sullivan included.) It is obvious to me, after what they have done to you, that the gulf between them and us is too wide to ever meet again.

Should you return to Alaska tomorrow and live the rest of your life, I will say, Good luck! You are a gem, and your family, too! And if I head into your part of town and encounter you there, I will surely give you and your children a big hug. You deserve it.

Too bad those b!%@&$ who ripped you to shreds do not.

Farewell, Governor Palin.

portlandon on November 4, 2008 at 2:16 PM

Washington doesn’t deserve a politician as gracious & wonderful as Sarah Palin.

Until we as an electorate can guarantee voting is not manipulated by Acorn or the Black Panthers we are guaranteed to see the likes of the Obamacons for a long time. If Obama wins tonight, he will CHANGE the way elections will be run and all we can do is HOPE we can find a loophole.
