Video: Noted loser holds press conference inside polling place

posted at 3:17 pm on November 4, 2008 by Allahpundit

I remember waiting on line four years ago and having a poll worker coming out to tell us to remove all campaign buttons and t-shirts before entering the sacred precinct of the school gymnasium. New York law, you understand. Meanwhile, this tool’s fielding questions about the Democratic wave within ten feet of a voting booth.

The rules for Clintons are different, my friends.

Exit question: Would we have fared better against Hillary than The One? For most of the summer I thought no, that she’d have won Hispanics and women in a landslide. Turns out that Obama’s winning Hispanics in a landslide too and that, per recent polls, most of the PUMAs have come home. I can’t believe she’d have raised as much dough as moneybags has, either (although she’d have raised plenty). If only Iowa had gone differently…

Blowback

Correct me if I am wrong, but couldn’t she have been arrested for something like this? I do believe what she did here is against the law.

And I don’t give a rat’s patootie who she is!

McCain could not have picked Palin if he was running against Hillary. The conservative base would have remembered a previous engagement on election day that prevented them from voting. It would have been a landslide.

WisCon on November 4, 2008 at 3:29 PM

If Hillary would’ve won, this election would be just a formality. The state polls for Ohio and Florida would be double-digit in favor of Hill. Instead of people being apprehensive about voting for a radical/etc, many would be voting for the first woman president. The Obama people would come home to Hill b/c they’re liberal. It’s not the same the other way around. (Pumas) Mac campaigning in PA would have been seen as a joke. Allah says we have a slight chance. I think we have a reasonable chance tonight. With Hill, forget it.

Here’s a little pre-election “altercation” that I wasn’t aware of until this morning, courtesy of my beloved spousal unit –

We both work at a Department of Defense facility. We’re both employees of the Federal government, as are the majority of our coworkers. My husband’s shop has one individual, an African-American gentleman who, several weeks ago, took to wearing an “Obama ’08″ baseball cap. No problem…everybody’s entitled to an opinion, right? Well, yesterday, another employee of that same shop showed up for work wearing a McCain/Palin t-shirt – and was told by the security guards in the lobby that he would not be allowed entry into the facility unless he changed his shirt. He offered to turn it inside out, but was still denied entry. He went out to his truck, came back in wearing a camouflage t-shirt, went back to his shop – and there he was, our dear friend the Obama supporter, proudly wearing his hat. Well, this outraged the guy with the t-shirt, so he reported the entire incident to the shop supervisor. Result – the entire shop spent an hour in the lunch room listening to the supervisor read the Hatch Act, word by word.

I have often wondered if something wasn’t rigged there or somewhere along the way in the Dem primaries to tilt them towards Obama. Had heard somewhere that people were bussed in to participate in the Iowa caucuses, but I am wary of that info; do you have any information about who caucuses in Iowa and how they get to do that?

And what about the other Dem primaries? Given what has been uncovered about ACORN, is it possible they did the same things in the primary season?

The beautiful thing about the PUMAs is that, unlike “soft Republicans” or undecideds, they are not susceptible to negative press or intimidation tactics. It just makes them madder. So I doubt very many PUMAs will drop out… and, because they are so angry at Obama, they will probably sway some of their friends to vote for McCain.

I am, frankly, more than a little frightened of Osama Obama, for reasons everyone here knows.

She may be a leftist, but has not displayed Marxist/totalitarian leanings. She would have fought hard, maybe skirted (no pun intended) some of the rules. Obama has bent and broken one helluva lot of rules.

That said, I do believe it’s illegal for anyone to do any “politicking” in — or even near — a polling place.
