Video: Noted loser holds press conference inside polling place

posted at 3:17 pm on November 4, 2008 by Allahpundit

I remember waiting on line four years ago and having a poll worker coming out to tell us to remove all campaign buttons and t-shirts before entering the sacred precinct of the school gymnasium. New York law, you understand. Meanwhile, this tool’s fielding questions about the Democratic wave within ten feet of a voting booth.

The rules for Clintons are different, my friends.

Exit question: Would we have fared better against Hillary than The One? For most of the summer I thought no, that she’d have won Hispanics and women in a landslide. Turns out that Obama’s winning Hispanics in a landslide too and that, per recent polls, most of the PUMAs have come home. I can’t believe she’d have raised as much dough as moneybags has, either (although she’d have raised plenty). If only Iowa had gone differently…

Blowback

Hillary is now on to plan “C”. She is hoping that with the troubles in the world and falling of Obama off his pedestal in the first 3 years, she will run against him in 2012.

Or it is her last gasp of being in the limelight before she turns into another unknown, faceless Senator.

Or she knows that her PUMA pals are voting heavily for McCain and she expects McCain to win….

albill on November 4, 2008 at 3:51 PM

Lord forgive me. If someone ever told me I would support Hillary Clinton over another I would have told them they needed to put the crack pipe down. But given a choice between Clinton and 0bama, I would have sided with Clinton without hesitation. Not that I don’t think of both of them as Satan-incarnate, I do. But at least Clinton has a clue, albeit a small one, about how to run something.

stm58 on November 4, 2008 at 3:51 PM

As to whether we would have done better against Hillary:

No, I doubt it. She would have had a much more subtle machine; I have always maintained that she was the fangs behind Billy Jeff’s political career.

However, would we, as a country, be better off with Hillary that we might be with the Messiah as president? Oh, hell, yes. We’d still be forked, don’t get me wrong – but I wouldn’t expect the wholesale destruction of the American way of life that I do with The One at the helm.

Class A Misdemeanor right there. Someone call the cops.

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 4, 2008 at 3:53 PM

Palin will be the most powerful Vice President ever elected. That will be a given…McCain knows that his win will have been because of the extraordinary campaigning of Palin.
Stop after Stop she pulled the people and the excitement back to the Republican party.
I have never seen anything like it…and then you look at Biden (and just shake your head).

right2bright on November 4, 2008 at 3:53 PM

I for one thank Barack Obama for sparing the country the ordeal of the Clintons in the White House again.

YES. No white guilt factor, for one.

Buy Danish on November 4, 2008 at 3:54 PM

yes ignore the polls. Damn the MSM for screwing around.
Yahoo has me ticked off the most. They have had states called for over a week.

johnnyU on November 4, 2008 at 3:54 PM

I’m no longer in the mood to mess with Hillary.

She’s got some damn fine supporters, so she gets a pass from me.

If you haven’t done so already, visit our friends over at Hillbuzz.

You’ll be glad you did.

Dorvillian on November 4, 2008 at 3:24 PM

Same here. I’ll never agree with the Clinton politics… However, their supporters have probably done more for us than most of our own have. I’m happy to have them aboard. I have a new found respect for Clinton supporters.

Passed on November 4, 2008 at 3:55 PM

As for Hillary, she needs to go the f*k home if she remembers where she lives and quit harassing the voters.

johnnyU on November 4, 2008 at 3:55 PM

Hillary would have creamed McCain. The only reason it’s this close is because the man-child FAILED to pick her.

I almost wish she had won the primary…she’d be a MUCH better President than Obama…I hate her policies, but she’s wouldn’t jeopardize our national security. And she’s much stronger on the economy. Obama is a disaster.

Plus, she doesn’t have as much sinister baggage as the One – I don’t trust his past associations, friends, even acquaintances. There is something inherently angry about Barry and that’s one of the things that has me on edge about this election. Hillary has her problems, but I don’t think she’s as full of hate and self-loathing as he is.

But – hopefully I am not alone in that assumption and he will not win anyway.

davidk on November 4, 2008 at 3:59 PM

I’m a PUMA, and I like Hillary and I voted for McCain-Palin. I like McCain and I like Sarah Palin, and I live in NY. I think Hillary and Bill probably voted for McCain-Palin.

pbabb on November 4, 2008 at 4:00 PM

Yep. You think Mussolini is bad, then you meet Hitler, and you’re wishing Mussolini was running. (I’m not comparing either Democrat to Hitler or Mussolini; it’s just an analogy.)

albill on November 4, 2008 at 3:51 PM

I don’t want to confuse the words “Clinton” and “class,” but isn’t it considered classless to seek your party’s nomination when an elected, incumbent President is seeking re-election?

The only example I can think of is Teddy Kennedy running against Jimmy Carter in 1980 (which proves my point that no one with CLASS would run against his own party’s President.)

(Reagan running against Ford doesn’t count, since Ford was appointed, not elected; he remains the only President never to win a national election.)

VastRightWingConspirator on November 4, 2008 at 4:00 PM

At least with Hillary, there is no obvious disdain for the average American – she just seems to think we can’t take care of ourselves. To some extent, she is right. That is why this country is about to elect Mr. “He is going to pay for my gas and mortgage.”

Of course everyone posting here is fully capable of taking care of their own s**t.

most of the PUMAs have come home.

That’s not true. How would anybody know “THE TRUTH” when they are told to lie to the pollsters?:

PUMAs have declared their intention to lie to pollsters and they are organized. And there are many people who don’t want to declare ‘McCain’ because of being percieved as a ‘racist’.

READ THE WHOLE THING and VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

davidk on November 4, 2008 at 4:10 PM

Pretty amazing that somebody could be so incredibly awful as to make the Crocodile Woman look good, but Barry’s done it, as far as I’m concerned. But choosing between Barry and Hill is like choosing between a root canal and hemorrhoid surgery: hard to feel a great deal of enthusiasm for either.

mr.blacksheep on November 4, 2008 at 4:12 PM

Today Ladies and Gentelmen, we are in the valley, clad in our battlegear, awaken to the day by a force from within, a purpose, a mission, battle lies ahead!

We have been joined this “MORNING IN AMERICA” by PUMA’s, Reagan Democrates, RHINO’s, Conservatives, peoples of all faiths, of all social backgrounds, of ALL races, arm in arm, shoulder to shoulder, clinging to our God, our Guns, our Flag, our Constitution!

We are looking up at a huge mountain, with a fortress of the far left radicals inside awaiting our attack. The Socilialists, protected all the way up the hill by the MSM, and with Pundits blocking our paths, the task is daunting and will require all of the effort a human can muster!

But we are bolstered by our faith, comforted by that still small voice inside… Fortified by the knowledge that from our efforts here today our children and thiers will grow up in a FREE, PROUD, STRONG AMERICA… The America of our Founders, of our Grandfathers and Fathers, of our FALLEN HEROS who gave it all for our RIGHT TO FIGHT TODAY!

Drawing comfort from our friends, family, church and our mission we march onward, “RUSH”ing up the hill, tossing aside all the Pundits, embarrasing the MSM, confronting the radicals and leaving them wondering what hit them…

VICTORY AWAITS for all those willing to lay it all on the line today! Are you ready? Will you fight? Will you vote?

LET’s ROLL!

Mark Garnett on November 4, 2008 at 4:17 PM

At least we’d have 4 years of funny Clinton impressions. Obama is boring as hell.

Speedwagon82 on November 4, 2008 at 4:21 PM

Remember that Hillary also follows Saul Alinsky. The Shadow Party was taken over by Obama.

Kevin in Washington State on November 4, 2008 at 4:23 PM

Cool…………….. Black Panthers with night sticks, and Hillary being interviewed inside a polling station.

Either we are a country of laws, are we are not……………….

…….. now that I know we are not, Fu%k It! I’m going back to vote again, and again, and again, and again!

Seven Percent Solution on November 4, 2008 at 4:26 PM

I haven’t talked to more than a handful of people who like Obama or Hillary for anything they have done. It didn’t matter who the Dems ran. Obama proves that. They hate Bush. He killed the Republican party by spending more money than any liberal could have. And where did it get him, hated. He let the house and Senate run wild, and didn’t veto anything. I hate him and I would vote for him again before Obama. But people that vote for Obama think he has no experience, he is crazy liberal and they don’t agree with is crazy ideas, but they HATE Bush so much, they don’t think he could do worse. Hillary would have had the same benefit.
As for having this conversation so close to the polling location, don’t we have laws about this stuff? Why can’t we enforce them?

indyrowe on November 4, 2008 at 4:26 PM

#1) Allah – we have gone over this, haven’t we? For you to say “Polls show PUMAs…” makes me think you are a wee bit dense. PUMAs luuurve lying to pollsters, it’s part of what makes ‘em PUMA. They want to see Zero( & bots) emotionally crushed.
#2) You talk about the ginormous money w/o referencing the AVS and funny funny donation amounts ($837.62, etc) almost as if you think it’s no big deal. I would hope the fallout from that is yet to come, myself.

rhodeymark on November 4, 2008 at 4:28 PM

The “solutions” she says the Dems can bring to the country apparently include: wrecking banks and markets worldwide, weakening our borders and national security, exposing us to terrorism, crippling homeowners with high taxes and energy prices, shutting off dissent, and instituting really shitty health care for everyone.

whitetop on November 4, 2008 at 4:33 PM

Blame all the Republican Senate and House bigwigs for their outrageous spending. Dennis Hastert, Tom Delay, etc. The only mistake Bush made was letting those morons have so much leeway.

Speedwagon82 on November 4, 2008 at 4:34 PM

I heard that Bill Frist was one of the roadblocks for S190. I was saddened, but never followed up. The Republicans could have passed it on party lines and didn’t. FAIL. Doesn’t mean that Dems are the solution by a long shot.

rhodeymark on November 4, 2008 at 4:37 PM

I’m a newbee so please don’t roll your eyes when I ask…When you copy/paste a comment to respond to how do you separate that person’s comment from your own? No eye rolling. I see you.

Palin will be the most powerful Vice President ever elected

That may be a bit of overstatement. But I for one would LOVE to have her show up to preside over the Senate for at least a few sessions right at the start. That would be one way to counteract the heavy majority that the Dems are certain to have.

I am no supporter of Hillary Clinton’s politics. However, I greatly respect and admire both her and her camp for the work they’ve put into this election.

The fact that the Republic may be saved in no small way, by Clinton’s supporters is an ironic and amazing turn of events.

Thank you, Hillbuzz.

Kai on November 4, 2008 at 5:09 PM

Hillary would have been smart enough to choose Obama as a running mate, and Sarah Palin would still be in Alaska while the RNC rolled pennies to buy ad time.

I think the PUMA’s will help take John over the finish line, setting up an interesting 2012 campaign.

Hillary would have wiped the floor w/ John McCain, and there would have been no Palin, McCain would’ve picked Michael Steele or J.C. Watts. Obama would have been Hillary’s VP, helping her to win in a landslide.

I may not have agreed with Clinton on most things, but I never got the impression she didn’t know what she was talking about.

There are at lest 18 million Democrats that agree with me!
