Video: No candy for Obama supporters

I’m oddly impressed that she was willing to go on camera and cop to this jackassery. What she lacks in simple decency she more than makes up for in courage! Or maybe she’s trying to prove a point about taxes. The case for redistribution made simple: When stingy homeowners won’t part willingly with their candy, the candy must be seized for the common good.

T-minus one hour and counting until the exit polls drop. Can you feel it?

I loved the cartoon Michelle had about the guy telling the halloween kids they had too much candy, and he was gonna take half to give to the kids too lazy to get it themselves!!

I can’t wait to hear about the skewed exit polls. Prediction: the MSM calls it for Obama by 7:00.

Brat on November 4, 2008 at 4:07 PM

Last week, I told a couple of my coworkers (the more rabid pro-Obama ones) that I was going to save money on Halloween candy by dressing up as Sen. Obama and, when a group of kids came to the door, redistributing the candy from the kids with the most to the rest.

I wouldn’t have really done that, of course, but it was still fun to see their eyes bulge out.

malclave on November 4, 2008 at 4:07 PM

This is sad, I gave a beer to all of the kids who knocked on my door, regardless of their political affiliation.

seejanemom on November 4, 2008 at 4:09 PM

We used to give out candy, but it was more or less a waste of time as all the parents take their kids to the mall. So it was either sit inside and let the doorbell ring whilst the dogs go absolutely bonkers, or sit outside bored to death freezing my patookiss off.

So I started hanging signs ever year:

2006: NO CANDY DUE TO GLOBAL WARMING!

2007: NO CANDY DUE TO HIGH GAS PRICES!

2008: NO CANDY DUE TO WORLDWIDE FINANCIAL MELTDOWN!

robblefarian on November 4, 2008 at 4:09 PM

The fat broad holding her kid certainly didn’t look like a welfare recipient……

FiveWays on November 4, 2008 at 4:09 PM

Good for her. I can’t stand the little bastards, their twee and precious little costumes and trick or treat bags, demanding I part with my Milky-Ways and Three Musketeers bars.

Last year’s tragic “accidental” porch collapse put a stop to that.

No trick-or-treaters this year. Woo-Hoo!

ManlyRash on November 4, 2008 at 4:10 PM

At first I thought it was funny but the only thing the kids will take away from this is that they have narrowed down the list of houses to egg and toilet-paper later on.

Ok well…as a college student – I give this woman kudos for her guts. As a child people tried to indoctrinate me – my teachers, and now my professors. She has a right to do what she wants. Today my professor said jokingly (I hope) before handing out my midterm something like ‘Republicans will get lower scores’.

I think that if the guy really wanted to make a point about candy for all – he wouldn’t have put up an Obama cut out and worn Obama pins. Instead he was just trying to show her up as opposed to doing the right thing.

~~~
Oye mi gente – vote por McCain!
bella710 on November 4, 2008 at 4:11 PM
Whoa – I thought McCain’s Internal Pollster sent out an email yesterday to basically ignore the exit polls?!?
Then factor in the PUMAs who have opted to outright lie to the exit polltakers – it’ll be a total head fake.
My collie says:
So what if she is a jackass? She can’t hold a candle to the people in the MSM. Her treatment of the children may not be exemplary — but her act is NOT criminal. Can you say the same about the MSM? They HARDLY hold the high ground on matters such as these.
1) The woman is within her rights.
2) There should be a moratoriaum on handing out sugar-laced candy to children here in the U.S. The epidemic of obesity that we are facing calls for drastic measures.
3) She’s right about one thing. Obama IS scary.
What the hell?
Isn’t this what Democrats do instead with their, “I won’t give my promiscuous self away to Republicans” campaigning?
And she did this to kids?
That’s just sad.
Esthier on November 4, 2008 at 4:15 PM
I voted McCain, but this woman is DUMB. That isn’t the kind of advertising that McCain needs or wants. Besides, some nearby Obama supporter put up an Obama candy for everyone sign which made her little ruse backfire. What a stupid woman.
worlok on November 4, 2008 at 4:16 PM
Aside: I told the kids not dressed up I would not give them any candy unless they entertained me. They all did (danced, sang, spoke spanish) and laughed while doing it.
Today Ladies and Gentelmen, we are in the valley, clad in our battlegear, awaken to the day by a force from within, a purpose, a mission, battle lies ahead!
We have been joined this “MORNING IN AMERICA” by PUMA’s, Reagan Democrates, RHINO’s, Conservatives, peoples of all faiths, of all social backgrounds, of ALL races, arm in arm, shoulder to shoulder, clinging to our God, our Guns, our Flag, our Constitution!
We are looking up at a huge mountain, with a fortress of the far left radicals inside awaiting our attack. The Socilialists, protected all the way up the hill by the MSM, and with Pundits blocking our paths, the task is daunting and will require all of the effort a human can muster!
But we are bolstered by our faith, comforted by that still small voice inside… Fortified by the knowledge that from our efforts here today our children and thiers will grow up in a FREE, PROUD, STRONG AMERICA… The America of our Founders, of our Grandfathers and Fathers, of our FALLEN HEROS who gave it all for our RIGHT TO FIGHT TODAY!
Drawing comfort from our friends, family, church and our mission we march onward, “RUSH”ing up the hill, tossing aside all the Pundits, embarrasing the MSM, confronting the radicals and leaving them wondering what hit them…
VICTORY AWAITS for all those willing to lay it all on the line today! Are you ready? Will you fight? Will you vote?
LET’s ROLL!
Mark Garnett on November 4, 2008 at 4:16 PM
LimeyGeek on November 4, 2008 at 4:18 PM
Ahem. If you don’t want kids trick or treating at your house, you signal it by leaving your lights off that night. This woman set out to do this. Candy stapled to campaign door-hangers? She USED and harassed the kids to make a political point. I don’t think the parents needed to respond in kind, but then again I can’t really blame them.
There is no defense for this. This behavior was ugly and intentional, and must be shunned.
What would our dear Sarah think about this, for heaven sake.
RushBaby on November 4, 2008 at 4:18 PM
I am sorry, but I love this, it is great. I think little libs need to learn a lesson early so they don’t end up like their parents, since their parents ARE brainwashing them. Harsh, maybe, NOT. I have no sympathy for them and I am not going to be PC and pretend that I do. Frankly, I did not buy or give out any candy this year, in anticipation of a BO win. I also plan to cut down on some of my charitable contributions too, especially the ones that go outside the US to needy people there, I guess I will have to be more picky with my money since we will get our taxes hiked. No more money out to the homeless either, since BO plans to support them anyway and pay for their gas and mortgages (oh he will probably give them some republican’s houses’).
wise_man on November 4, 2008 at 4:20 PM
Even still, Halloween is a very strange holiday where kids are expected to go to random strangers houses and ask for candy. The rest of the year we teach them the opposite.
But I’m sure I have a warped perspective on the whole thing. I was raised in a fairly strict household and only went trick or treating once. Every other year it was a “Fall Festival” held on November 1st, lest there be any confusion, which of course there was, because in every way except for the date it was a Halloween festival.
Stingy yes….but…
it’s a crime now not to give candy to kids, for whatever reason? Note how the very liberal fox 2 station in the detroit area makes damn sure everyone knows the womans name and where she lives. Gotta have the black panthers fix ‘er up I guess, eh?
It’s my right to do as I please with what I have, it’s as simple as that, no matter the reason. This is why my favorite pharmacy (small business with 15 employees) just closed their doors this week. He saw Obama’s writing on the wall and sold out while he could.
Expect a LOT more of this…and no amount of black panther drooling is going to ‘fix’ the situation.
Children need to learn. She could have looked into each kid’s candy bag and said. “You have too much, you don’t get any.” They’re kids and since a spanking will get a parent in trouble, this is what is left. One year my sister did not want to go trick or treating, she said it was too childish – she was at that pre-teen “age.” Well, I still had to share when I got back.
All the kids from Juarez come up here in the backs of old pickups, Escalades, Hummers, you name it and its a big party, with hundreds of kids. We bought over 20 pounds of candy and most of it was gone by 9 PM.
