Oh, it's not democrats that I fear, at least not in the traditional sense. But after years of watching our country move in the wrong direction, we finally voted in a President that has actually vowed to accelerate that movement. Of course so did the democrats in the house and senate two years ago, and they've accomplished almost nothing.
I still have hope. I most certainly still have a dream. I will still fight for freedom. Now it's just in the face of a majority opposition.

My feelings after last nights embarrassment, are certainly sadness, and just a touch of fear....

NEVER fear liberals, even when they are a majority. When things go their way, they gloat and strut ::cough DcMike2K cough::, but when things start getting tough (Viet Nam, Iraq) they cower, blame and run.

Know this also...Dems in power are idiots (gas prices were 2.16/gal when they took over Congress in 2006, they accused regulators of racism when red flags were raised about Fannie Mae, etc.) When they raise taxes on evil, evil corporations, wages will stagnate, prices of products will go up, jobs will be lost. When they raise the income and capital gains taxes on the rich, the rich will move their money to safety; they did not get rich by being more stupid than the Congress. Again jobs will be lost. It may take a little time, but the stench of socialism will wake up those who swallowed the "Hope n' Change" mantra this time around.

___DCMike, you sure do a lot of screeching against imaginary ghoulies don't you.

___My feelings after last nights embarrassment, are certainly sadness, and just a touch of fear. I hope and pray that this moral victory for the minorities doesn't cost us, as a whole, too dearly. I'm hoping that a President Obama turns out to be a much more center, and stable president than his record, and background would indicate.

___I have to say though that I suspect this election sounded the death knell for the country as I hoped it would be. I suspect that it portends the final downfall of the tenth amendment, and the complete corruption of the idea of limited government.

___Hopefully soon, we will remember that freedom is the first and most important right.

What a rollercoaster ride! My gut instinct is to just say goodby to the American I have loved for almost 62 years. My one consolation is the words of my miinister last Sunday... "No mater who wins, pray to GOD that you understand HIS message to the people in the this".

61% of precincts reporting and Norm Coleman leads by 336 votes. This could be a small ray of sunshine if Coleman beats Franken, anyway.

What I can't understand is with congress at 9% approval, why did the neo-dem-socialists pick up seats? Many of those people don't have souls.

Don't worry, Smellthecoffee, within 6 months Isreal will be a huge ball of fire and the Odministration will do nothing but call for calming. I'm sure that is the plan. He'll say we have to rise above taking sides, at the expense of our only ally in the region.

this is where I’m most scared of with Bush, now he knows his party is completely out of power so he has nothing to lose. So he just might launch a attack against Iran or Syria and leave Obama to clean it up. got to go,President-Elect Obama is getting ready to speak

Just can't let that paranoia die, can you? Some day, you gomers are going to be drooling on yourselves on the front porch of the retirement home, shrieking periodically about the Bush-monster under the bed. I shall guffaw.

Hey, you paranoid dip-stick, think about this. Since our President Obama is going to have a more "even-handed" approach toward Israel (which means equating Israeli self-defense with Arab terrorism), wouldn't this be the perfect time for Israel to go after Iran? I mean, it can't hurt Bush or the Republicans anymore. Any mess it creates will just be something their pal President Obama will have to clean up, so. . .? Isn't this the perfect time?

You criticize someone for hysteria, while you yourself are ridden with hysteria. Well at least you admit you're a hypocrite. If President Bush unjustly attempts to retain office, then I will be right there beside you as well. Does that make you feel better?

There are people who are as afraid of Obama as many of you liberals are afraid of Bush. It wasn’t long ago that they were claiming he wouldn’t freely leave office, so hysteria isn’t limited to us. I prefer to wait and see what actions he takes.

Here’s an upside. Al Franken may be the new face of the Democrat Congress. Maybe that could put this cartoon scenario into perspective for the mobs.

I imagine Franken's gaffes are going to make Biden look like the model of constraint.

I imagine Franken’s gaffes are going to make Biden look like the model of constraint.

There are people who are as afraid of Obama as many of you liberals are afraid of Bush. It wasn't long ago that they were claiming he wouldn't freely leave office, so hysteria isn't limited to us. I prefer to wait and see what actions he takes.

If we're going to learn a lesson, let's learn it for good. Al Franken can bring this thing into an over-reaching type of scenario that brings everyone back home to basics.

He said it was a deeply flawed document, and that it was a tradedy that it hadn't been turned into something other than what it is and has always been. I took him for a serious person. Maybe you're right and I shouldn't be worried.

45% percent of the precincts counted and Franken edges back ahead of Coleman in Minnesota. If Franken wins this thing, I really am going to be depressed. Granted, this is a state that elected Jesse Ventura as governor, but Al Franken???
