Track today’s vote at Hot Air!

In partnership with AOL News, we have a handy way to track the votes in every state. The interactive map below will tell you what states have polls open, when they close, and will track the calls made by the AP on whether each state goes to Barack Obama or John McCain. Click on each state to see a county-by-county breakdown of the voting, as well as more detailed information on state totals.

I’ll be checking this throughout the day, and it’s just one of many reasons to make Hot Air your primary Election Day website!

Update: Bumped to near top.

The moronic juvenile trolls are making this site as bad as YouTube. 12 yr olds copy/pasting from Kos and Huffpo and people arguing with them. Lowers my motivation for reading HotAir comments anymore.

I have to admit,I’m suprised Megan Kelly hasn’t exploded yet, she’s been gritting her teeth all night watching everything she believes in go down the drain

DcMike2K on November 4, 2008 at 9:49 PM

It’s a thin reed, but let’s not forget that the networks all called Florida for Gore in 2000, even before the polls had closed in the panhandle.

Ohio’s presidential results at http://vote.sos.state.oh.us/pls/enrpublic/f?p=130:14:0 still says it’s close and McCain is slightly ahead, but Fox is still insisting that Obama won. I don’t understand!

Same unscientific method as my last count.

This is quite the experiment America has decided to take in elected someone so untested, unaccomplished and unqualified.

My concern is great and Obama has a LOT to prove to prove us wrong.

canadianrepublican on November 4, 2008 at 9:58 PM

I knew when we fought Bush in the 1980 primaries that family was no good. Now they have destroyed the GOP. That idiot GW was handed solid GOP majorities when he took office. He signed a bill (McCain-Feingold) he knew was unconstitutional. He left the border wide open. He failed to go after rampant voter fraud in places like Philadelphia, Detroit, Newark, Cleveland…. even after it almost cost him the election. Just plain stupid or is it worse.

McCain needed both Florida and Ohio to possibly pull things out. If Ohio is really gone, then so is the election, if you assume CA, WA and OR go for Obama, which is a pretty reasonable projection given the lefty nature of those states (and I live in CA, BTW).

I could be philosophical and hope the libs see the errors of their ways over the next four years as BO drives the country into the ground, but they will just blame everything on Bush, anyway. I gave up drinking many years ago, but it may be time to start again…

I guess we have to now hope that Obama moves to the center as did Clinton (mostly) and won’t be able to do too much damage.

No one remembers now how McCain coughed up “blue ribbon panels” to do the dirty work of military base closing in the US and Clinton contributed by slashing funding so badly that training jets were falling out of the sky in AZ because they had no replacement parts to keep planes usable. Luke AFB was taking parts from one plane to get another into the air.

I expect our country to not be attacked at all the next four years now, or I am going to be slapping everyone who voted for the commie dipsht Obama. I need to go bed, I have a high-paid job to do and now I have to figure out how to keep my own damn money from being siphoned away to poor dummies sitting on their rent-to-own couch watching their rent-to-own LCD bigscreen the next few years.

One thing that would be fun to see happen, should it get to that point, G-d forbid, would be if Lieberman became the spoiler of the 60 vote Dem Senate, by deciding to start caucusing with the Republicans. He was deploring the possible effects of a 60 seat Dem majority on Glenn Beck today.

Only if McCain really loses Ohio. Right now they are showing only 38% of the vote counted. It’s neck and neck in VA and NC. I don’t know whether Florida has counted the panhandle or not–that could make a big difference there. If McCain wins FL, VA, NC, AND OH, there might be a chance. He couldn’t lose anything else, though, probably not even Nevada. I don’t believe the numbers in PA. There’s no way PA is going to be that big of a blowout. The coal miners and bitter clingers can’t be fully counted yet.

canadianrepublican on November 4, 2008 at 10:48 PM

stonemeister on November 4, 2008 at 10:48 PM

Guys, AOL is biased in the way it is presenting this; if the county in a state is tied it’s supposed to be black; blue if Obama is leading, red if McCain is leading.

Yet they are consistently leaving counties colored blue if they are tied or Obama is up by only 1 point.

McCain has to get a lead of over 5 points in a county before they change the color from blue to red.
